    Past Be Damned returns the reader to the Last Hope series. It's the end of days and the last line of defense to save humanity are the sisters who have the ability to fight the demons on earth. This story focuses on Teagan. After being torn away from the Sisterhood and her guards Teagan spent 5 horrifying years in the mines. Now at the new Sisterhood with Anne and Daniella she can no longer handle her pain and asks for a memory wipe. She believes that she can still contribute as a human, but that if she continues trying to live with her pain, the darkness will overcome her. One year later after hearing that she was still alive her guards Thaddeus, Aidan, Noah, Eric, and Brody rush to the sisterhood. They are back with their sister, but it's not the reunion they expected.

    This is a wonderful series, so well written. The story is original and multi-layered. The characters are all fully developed; beautifully flawed and likable. Teagan is so giving, generous, selfless, and strong, but so full of doubt. Thaddeus is the perfect leader, Aidan is so courageous, Noah is so loving, Eric is so intelligent, and Brody is so open. These 6 are strong individually, but together they are a force.

    After the years of separation, there are major issues that need to be resolved both as individuals and as a group. There is pain; feelings of betrayal, hurt, and anger. Teagan believes that she is broken and the team was never meant to be. The guys are determined to prove she's wrong, how much they love her, and that they are meant to be together. Their love and passion for Teagan has only grown stronger and they are not letting her go again. Even though their personal lives are full of uncertainty, there are demons to fight, people to save, sisters to help, and a dark Sister Superior to stop. Katrina has continued her reign of terror and is a formidable opponent. Teagan is pretty amazing herself though and destiny has chosen her for an important role.

    This story was crammed full of action and new information; very exciting. There's love, wonder, forgiveness, and hope. I love how even in this dangerous, dark world there are moments of tenderness. The sisters aren't only surviving, they are embracing life and love. Their light grows stronger with love. The lines were drawn in the first book and the ultimate battle for earth is drawing closer. I can't wait for the next book; Sisters and their Guards, good versus evil; it's an addictive series!

    ***No matter how hard I try I can not review this book without giving small spoilers for the first book in the Last Hope Series. If you have not read it yet, STOP READING THIS unless you are ok with spoilers***

    We met Teagan in Tradition be Damned after Anne's guards rescued her from the mines. She had been there for 5 years believing that her own guards, the men she loved, were dead. Why else wouldn't they come looking for her. At the end of Tradition be Damned she made a choice that changes everything. Meanwhile, her guards who are NOT dead, believe her to be dead. They have spent the last 6 years trying to make those who took her from them pay. When they stumble upon rumors that the new sisterhood has a sister named Teagan, they rush there to find out the truth. Only the woman they find there doesn't know them at all.

    So we start out at the new sisterhood with Teagan thinking she's just a normal human who is helping the Sisters there. She made the choice to stop the pain she felt living without her men. Of course, there was an out. Only it was supposed to be up to her to take it. After the guys show up a series of events leads to that choice being taken away from her. However, even after she gets her memories back she's not running back to her guards. How could she, they LEFT HER THERE. In those mines for all those years. Living in the dark that now lived in her. If they were truly her Destined then the spirits would have led them to her like they did Sister Anne and Sister Daniella's gaurds to them. The spirits are here now though and they have a journey for Teagan. She doesn't know the destination but she knows she must go. There are lost sisters at the sisterhood and this mysterious Prophet needs to be found. Along the way Teagan learns just what it means to make sacrifices for the greater good. "When you want to say no, say yes!" We see Sister Katherine again and she's been up to more nonsense. Only, she's saying things that don't add up and doing things she shouldn't be able to do. We end this book not sure what's going on with her.

    I absolutely LOVE this series by Rebecca. It's by far my favorite series of hers. We have the end of the world, Demons, Spirits, Divinity touched sisters and hot hot men who would die protecting their sister. What more could you possibly want? Sexy time...Oh we have the sexy time. These boys...I mean MEN, know what they want and they take it.

    We also get a POV from each of the guys throughout the book as well. We get a look into their past and how they all came together too. The darkness they faced in their own lives even before coming to the sisterhood.

    I think everyone should read this series. I know that this one is a little more expensive than some of the others. That seems to be the biggest gripe I hear about Rebecca's series'. This is totally worth it though. Not only is this an amazing read that you will totally fall in love with but it's full length. The series is only five books, which is sad for me b/c I love it so much, but good for those on a budget. The next book will be releasing on September 26th, you meet the Sister in Past Be Damned, and I for one can't wait!!

    I really like Teagan. She's a strong and yet vulnerable woman. Her experiences had led her to needing to retreat from her pain, and it's really sad and traumatic as she's healing from them. She may always heal. We learn a few tidbits about the Divine and the Demonic that leave me with some big questions. I'm absolutely intrigued as to how the story develops from here.

    I liked this group of guards and FMC. It was a good continuation of the series with a lot of interesting twists and turns.

    I liked this story but debated on the rating to give this one. There were a few areas that had the names of the people mixed up and it broke the flow of the story. Like the first book, this one should have been edited/proofread a little better before publication (yes, I know things slip through, but not this many). Also, the story seemed to feel like it kept dragging on once it got close to the end.

    All in all, it was a good story. It is worth checking out. I will read the next ones so that I can see what will happen.

    This is not a stand alone book and it leaves a lot unfinished hence the lower than 5 star rating. But I enjoyed the character development and yet I did feel like it was rushed, while the important things seemed to be a bit quicker again.

    I will confine reading. I like Teagan. I like her story. I like who she becomes and who her men are. I like that she doesn't make them suffer too much when she had a right to really make them suffer. I loved the way her men/guards were on a different path to her and how they got up to mischeif when they thought she was dead.

    The plot is clever and twisting. Elements of past, present and future in this one.

    The spice content was lower than the last book but it was still a solidly good book. Plot was the priority with this one! Worth a read!

    Tegan’s beautiful story was just epic. I was so glad that she got her happily ever after because she deserved it they all did. So much excitement and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
