Patricia Fisher Cruise Mysteries: Books 1 - 5: A humorous Cozy Mystery box set collection (Cruise Mystery Box Set) Kindle Edition
‘A unique cozy mystery series with an ending that left me on a high for days!’
When Patricia Fisher boards the world’s finest cruise ship for a three-month tour of the world, she expected a great many things …
… finding herself embroiled in a priceless jewel theft wasn’t one of them.
Less than twenty-four hours after setting sail, she’s accused of murder and confined to her cabin. Thankfully, she is staying in the royal suite and that means she has a butler to help her. When he recruits his gym instructor BFF, Barbie, the trio turn detective to find the real killer.
But someone on board doesn’t want them to succeed and when the next body is found in her kitchen, the team realise it’s more than just her freedom at stake.
They’d better solve this fast or all three of them might be next. Read this fast-paced adventure and four more full-length stories as a middle-aged housewife throws off the shackles of her old life and becomes the woman she was always meant to be.
When Steve Higgs writes, he hits it out of the park. I find myself laughing loud and often!
Praise for Patricia Fisher:
She's over 50, feisty, and oh so clever at solving murders.
This first book has so many twists, turns and red herrings the reader has to pay close attention to catch all the clues. Love Steve Higgs’ books and this new series did not disappoint.
Patricia started out as a betrayed wife and moved into a strong, smart woman role. I love her and her side kicks already and this is only the first book.
Can’t get enough of Steve’s stories and wait anxiously for the next to publish in all of his series.
Higgs continues the 'cozy mystery' genre in this unexpected and empowering new series with no loss of empathy for human variety.

About the author

When Steve Higgs wrote his debut novel, Paranormal Nonsense, he was a captain in the British Army. He would like to pretend that he had one of those careers that must be blacked out and generally denied by the government, and that he has to change his name and move constantly because he is still on the watch list in several countries. In truth, though, he started out as a mechanic - not like Jason Statham in the film by that name, sneaking around as a hitman, but more like one of those sleazy guys who charges a fortune and keeps your car for a week even though the only thing you went in for was a squeaky door hinge.
At school, he was largely disinterested in all subjects except creative writing, for which he won his first prize at the age of ten. However, calling it the first prize he won suggests that there were other prizes, which is not the case. Awards may yet come, but in the meantime, he enjoys writing mystery and thriller novels and claims to have more than a hundred books forming a restless queue in his mind because they are desperate to be written.
Now retired from the military, he lives in southeast England with a duo of lazy sausage dogs. Surrounded by rolling hills, brooding castles, and vineyards, he doubts he'll ever leave, the beer is just too good.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 6, 2024Great character development and explanation of locations. Quite twisted misadventures where Mrs Fisher goes in and out of jams. Always the heroine she always solves the case - but around many twists and turns. Great reading to take your mind off of things.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 11, 2020I love boxed sets where you can go from one book to the next. Patricia was a cleaning lady whose husband made all the decisions and never wanted to really vacation so she worked for extra money. The day she found him in bed with her best friends she did something outrageous. She emptied both their bank accounts and started out on an adventure. With no destination in mind she ended up at the docks where a cruise was just about to leave. The only accommodation available took a good share of her money but she did it anyway. I turned out to be a round the world cruise for 3 months in the most luxurious suite available. Each book in the series is another adventure with her, her butler (he came with the suite) and her personal trainer. It is well written, fast paced and loads of fun.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 27, 2019Starting out a bit ponderous and overly self involved, this series gets better with each book as the focus shifts from cloying self pity to the type of fun once expects in a series like this. There are a few missteps and odd character choices/tropes, but once believability is suspended, it is a fun, engaging and quick read. The books should be read in order, and serially if possible.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 13, 2020These characters are lovely and endearing. The mysteries are well thought out and solved by Mrs. Fisher and her shipmates friends. Very entertaining and pleasant read. Good clean fun. I do enjoy box sets because they allow the reader to go from one story to the next without delay. Perfect for this series, as you will not want to wait! So engaging and cleverly written.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2022Love this series! I have read all the books in the series and I love, love, love them. The stories are wild and I did not particularly like the first book about the Patricia Fisher mysteries, but after that one, I was totally hooked.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 10, 2020Yes its hokey at times, but quite an enjoyable Read none the less. It’s different because it’s separate murder mysteries all around the world with the same kooky characters. I enjoyed it enough that I bought the remaining six books in the series
- Reviewed in the United States on June 19, 2020I've completely enjoyed these books. I regret that I read the later books first, but luckily it didn't mess up anything, story wise. Reading them in order is best, but the stories are a real page turner, full of action, romance and humor. I'm ready to go and read the next boxes set, this time in the right order.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful
Finally a great mystery starting an mature woman who runs away from an unexpected shock and discovers a more than capable tenacious and strong woman underneath the unsatisfied housewife. The mysteries are interesting and the main character has some very wise and insightful conclusions about weight problems marriage and self-worth.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful read
This is such a fun read. Patricia discovers her husband cheating on her so she immediately packs her bags, cleans out the bank accounts and sets off on a round the world cruise. She re-discovers herself, begins a fitness regime and finds herself under arrest for murder. Her self esteem rises with every battle she faces, some of them quite farcical.
