Peas, Carrots and Happily Ever After: The final instalment in this charming humorous family fiction saga (The Peas and Carrots Series Book 6) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 417 ratings

The good news: Love is finally blooming for Eric Sibley. The bad news: His daughter has other plans for his happily ever after.

When Abi secretly enters her dad and his new girlfriend into a national magazine competition, she thinks she's doing them a favor. She didn't expect them to win. She definitely didn't expect the chaos that would follow.

Now Eric finds himself juggling impossible deadlines, emerging secrets, and a relationship that's being fast-tracked by his well-meaning but misguided daughter. Between magazine photographers, family revelations, and the growing realization that some things can't be rushed, Eric's chance at happiness is starting to feel more like a ticking time bomb.

Could this be the moment everything falls perfectly into place, or will Eric's shot at love become another brilliant Sibley family disaster?

Join the Sibleys one last time in this heartwarming finale about finding love, facing the past, and learning that sometimes the best endings come at their own pace. Because when it comes to happiness, timing is everything.

Hannah Lynn is a multi award winning novelist. Publishing her first book, Amendments – a dark, dystopian speculative fiction novel, in 2015. Her second book, The Afterlife of Walter Augustus – a contemporary fiction novel with a supernatural twist – went on to win the 2018 Kindle Storyteller Award and the Independent Publishers Gold Medal for Best Adult Ebook.

Born in 1984, Hannah grew up in the Cotswolds, UK. After graduating from university, she spent 15 years as a teacher of physics, first in the UK and then Thailand, Malaysia, Austria and Jordan. Now settled back in the UK with her husband, daughter and horde of cats, she spends her days writing romantic comedies and historical fiction. Her first historical fiction novel, Athena's Child, was also a 2020 Gold Medalist at the Independent Publishers Awards.

I loved every word of every book in this collection. The characters are delightful and there’s warmth and love on every page. You’ll love this (these) books.

This story of many indecisive moments was interesting to read. Will they or won’t they? What surprises will come up; Interesting relationships. It was a fun read - easy to pick up on as the plot moves on.

This has been such a completely satisfying, fun family saga. And what a complicated saga it is. I am so sorry to see this series end, but at the same time I am pleased to see the first book in a new series is due out next spring. I will miss the quirky characters, though, but I am sure they are all living happily ever after.

If you haven’t read the series I recommend you do before reading this the final book. Great series of books that are a wonderful read with final book being a ending I never saw coming but loved.
You learn about the ups and downs of this extended family unit and how they cope. Will read her next book for sure pre-ordered it already.

Enjoyed the entire series. This series was filled with twists and turns. Page turner, tears and laughter, I will say no more. Just read it for yourself. You too will fall in love with Eric...

Humorous and fun series of 6 books with a novel conclusion befitting the chaos the author so enjoys!

I stumbled across the first in this series just over a week ago, loved it, bought the rest of the series, and read them over the next few days - I just couldn't stop. Very easygoing but so poignant and so very funny. so I do not recommend reading in public if you wish to avoid strangers' stares!

Dear Hannah, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the Peas and Carrots series and your writing style. Thanks for the fun! I do suggest that you do another edit though, particularly of the last book, as there were lots of additional, omitted or incorrect words/letters that had me back reading, and so stopped the easygoing flow of your writing.
All the very best with your ongoing writing—I’m looking forward to what you have for us next.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best of the series

It had very hard competition, but I think this is my favourite book of the entire Peas & Carrots series. It's possibly the most heart-breaking (and warming) story of the lot, and there's Hannah Lynn's trademark humour throughout, as well as a superb ending. I laughed and cried for the characters a lot, and I wanted to strangle Lydia nearly as much as Eric did. Definitely reading more from this author! (And this is the only series ever that I have read the whole set in just one month! I'm a diehard bookworm and always like to read different stuff, but this series had me hooked from the chainsaw and excavator chaos onwards!)

4.0 out of 5 stars Have to read for closure
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on December 30, 2020
    I’ve given this a 4 as no 3.5, gave all previous 5.
I enjoyed it but didn’t have the can’t put it down factor as previous.
Felt characters from earlier books should have been more involved.
Feel a bit cheated maybe should have done two fabulous reads rather than one squished farewell.
If you’ve read all the books it’s a nice read.

5.0 out of 5 stars For lovers of allotments!

This is the most refreshing and original series I have read for a long time. Sad at times but also very funny! Written really well. Delighted to discover these books and unhappy that this is the last in the series! Could certainly have carried on reading about the characters lives.
