    I loved this book!!!! It was PERFECT!!! I adored Lenora, Trace and Malcolm they were all such wonderful characters. Lenora and Malcolm's relationship was so sweet, swoony, and heartwarming! The story grabbed me from the first page and I couldn't put it down! Who needs sleep when you have a new Lacey Black book, right?? The story flowed along beautifully as they got to know each other and the way that Malcolm embraced Trace immediately and treated him so lovingly just gave me the warm fuzzies throughout the entire story. I am glad the angst was kept to a minimum, I feel that oftentimes authors ruin the mood of a book by creating chapter after chapter of unnecessary angst...     Malcolm Wright is the town mayor,  but he's also the town playboy.  That is, according to the MC Scoop.  Lenora "Leni" Abbott is a single mom who has moved back home to raise her 5 year old son close to family.   There's no way these two could get together,  that is, until Leni is comes in to clean his office at City Hall and finds herself an omg eyeful of the mayor in all his God given glory as he's coming out of the shower!

    Perfect Kiss is book 9 of the 12 part saga of Mason Creek.   These two types of characters; the playboy mayor and the single mom working 3 jobs to take care of her son, are the most opposite but the author weaves a wonderful story and turns you into a believer.   I loved the idea of the reformed bachelor proving he can be the "right one." The one to set aside his  single life to give that special person the "epic kiss" of her dreams.

    The kids in these books have stolen my heart, Trace being no exception.  He had me eating out of the palm of his hand.  His love of life despite his harsh reality is so powerful.  This little man is so wise and it melted my heart.

    I truly enjoyed this book, but as always, anything by Lacey is a great read. Malcolm and Leni are total opposites. When Leni walks in on naked Malcolm, she freaks out and is sure she will lose her cleaning job with the major. Yes, Malcolm is the Major. What happens between them is a twist of fate. The attraction is there, the chemistry is there and the sexual tension is on fire. Who wouldn't want Malcolm? Every single woman in the small town does, and has had him, but Leni.
    How with Leni on his radar, Malcolm is bound to get to know her and her son. Something he never thought twice about. After many run ins with the towns floozy, and being confronted, Leni loses her cleaning job with her, and is forced to move on with her life without Malcolm. Now with the small town gossip circulating, things are blowing up for both Leni and Malcolm.
    This is a wonderful story. It's got everything you need for a small town romance. Throw in a kid and swoon ladies, because Mayor Malcolm has it all.
