    I borrowed this book via the Kindle Unlimited program and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

    We join Kendall right after the end of Haunted Redemption, the first of The Cascade. Her life, both with ghosts and without, is only growing more complicated. Levi, her ex-husband who left he when her psychic powers revealed themselves, wants to get back together. Malcolm, the love her life since she was nine, wants to be with her forever, starting right now. And there seems to be a hellmouth in her city. What else could go wrong?

    The story is tight and fun. My only complaint is the fight against the big bad kind of happens off screen. That was frustrating with all the build up over the very gladiator-ness over it.

    Other than that, it is a near perfect story, with a real grown up woman who has to live with her previous choices and the results of the new choices she is making.

    Phoenix Everlasting has Kendall on the hunt for missing time and looking for answers. Kendall is still a kick arse woman that is independent and not looking for anyone to stand in her way. The problems that started from the work and darkness before is only getting started. They need to find a way to stop the shadows, stop the cascades, and to love happily ever after. Or at least the first two of three.
    I left Haunted Redemption not knowing whether I wanted to root for Levi or Malcolm. By the end of Phoenix, I still don't know who I want for Kendall more. Both men have proven themselves worthy of her heart. Maybe there will be a time for both of them, but that will also mean heartache for Kendall. It was wonderful to see her kids trying to adjust and being so wonderfully flexible and adept as only kids can be.

    Phoenix Everlasting is part of the Cascading series. While it could be read as a stand-alone, there is so much depth and understand as well as character development that would be lost by nor reading Haunted Redemption first.

    Minor spoiler…
    The ending came out of the blue and I can't wait for the next book. I normally don't like to read the little blurb starting the next in the series. However, with the ending it was either do that or be upset until I could start the next book in the series. Thank goodness there is a sneak peak of the next book at the end is all I can say.

    I'm loving this series! Not that I expected anything else from this author, as I have loved everything of hers that I've read. The worldbuiding for this series has been so well done - I love the paranormal themes and the way it has been presented. The characters are all likeable and complement each other beautifully! I especially love Kendall. She is an amazing mother, a little snarky and completely badass. I love that we have a heroine who is in her 30s and a mother to 3 amazing kids who also have abilities - that they get to play a part in the story only adds to it's richness. Malcolm and Levi both tug at my heartstrings - I can see why both would be good for her, and yet Malcolm is my choice for her. I want Levi to have his HEA but just don't see that with Kendall any more. Malcolm is the better partner for her.

    Looking forward to seeing how the series progresses. Definitely a series I would recommend.

If you haven’t read Haunted Redemption yet, there are spoilers in this book and as I said in that review, there is little I can say about the book that won’t contain spoilers.Things are not going well. I’m still enjoying this series and can’t wait for the next book.

    OMG! This book was amazing! There was just so much intense emotion, drama and anticipation. The Team is back and everyone plays some major roles against The Shadows.
    There are so many surprises in this book. At times Kendall is so strong and next doubt her abilities. She does have the love of two men. Her ex Levi, but her true love is Malcolm. They have been in love since they were nine and died together. Their love is so strong for each other. They complement each other. Malcolm is the warrior in the group therefore the strongest. Kendall is their light bearer for the group. With the Shadows being stronger and more prominent, the whole group will be needed.
    I loved this book and I can't wait for the next book.
    I would suggest you read the first book cause it has a lot of backstory. Then dive into this book. You will not want to put it down.

    Kendall is a single mom with super natural powers and so does her 3 kids. Now that her ex knows she is not nuts and there really are other things in the world he wants her back BUT so does Malcolm and he has loved her for a lifetime. He has also never let her down.
    Their job is to find the phoenix keep it from the shadow and find out what it does then fight them all while staying alive. Can it be done? Who will Kendall end up with and can she keep her kids safe?
    This is truly awesome it has action with in depth characters that are fantastic then add the drama and spice. This is one of my favorite series! I am hooked paranormal fans you will love this one.
    Voluntary reviewed a copy and I honestly loved it.
