Review
"Enthralling and seductive, Bind and Keep Me, brings the taboo into our basements and locks us inside. A must-read for lovers of dangerous erotic fiction." SkyeWarren, NYTimes Bestselling author
"Bind and Keep Me puts your heart and your mind through the wringer once or twice. Cari Silverwood showed me how beautiful and how twisted dark erotic romances can be, and she has set the bar on this specific genre." Shayna Renee's Spicy Reads
"Consent is dubious....perhaps a touch more than dubious in ways that make you say no, but yes, but no....oh screw it, this feels too good! I have a new reading addiction and it's dark, complex BDSM." Under the Covers Book Blog
"Man oh man, this book was hardcore dark. Everything a great non/dub con story should have - kidnapping, feisty heroine who fights back (and loses, of course, duh, cause that's the point - the fantasy), amazing sex, and a lot of tension."Lina's Accolades and Book Burnings
"Expect blood, pain and tears. And orgasms. Because Wren is a dirtier girl than she ever imagined and so are we for enjoying it." Under the Covers Book Reviews
"The writing style had me hooked,(no pun intended). It's dark, seedy, dirty. There is no gloss on this world, and it's not prettied up to make it easier to swallow. We get thrown in the deep end, right from the start. Some parts of this story are probably a little hard to read, but if you love this sort of thing. It's perfect." Louise Seraphim Reviews
"Cari Silverwood ends the Pierced Hearts series with a bang. An intense kidnapping and bondage read that gives you the choice on how the book should end.I still cannot decide which ending I preferred, both of them had me in tears."Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews

- Reviewed in the United States on November 29, 2019Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI couldn’t contain myself reading these stories. Absolutely riveting. Unbelievably exciting and beautiful. Couldn’t put it down. Thank you Cari.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 3, 2019Format: KindleVerified PurchaseGranted some of it went to far, but for the most part I love fed the dominant/submissive theme running through each book. In some, it was more master/slave, which I also loved. A happy ending would’ve been nice, but we don’t always get happy endings.
Well done!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 13, 2018Format: KindleA collection of stories that will engage your heart, your mind and soul. My absolute favorite is Yield and is always my recommendation for those looking for a dark read.
YIELD REVIEW--- This can be read as a standalone book.
Wren, the rich girl with a tainted past, is on a crusade to track down her father’s murderer only to find not one, but two, bad men.
Moghul is a sadistic businessman, with a finger in every kinky enterprise he can get his hands on and a jaded view on life. When his eye turns to Wren, he realizes how dull life has been. He hasn't tried everything after all. When they can’t say no, things might be more…interesting.
Glass is the dominating ex-SAS soldier. Each man is determined to keep Wren for himself using methods that may be illegal, immoral, or likely to make somebody feel the pain for a long, long time.
If you lie down with bad men, be prepared to get up on your knees.
The ending will be the reader’s decision. Give Wren to the dark or to the light, then read the other ending if you wish to.
Mindf**ks included free.
This is a dark kinky story and some readers may find it disturbing
SIEZE ME FROM DARKNESS REVIEW (my second fave)- Usually I write a review as soon as I finish a book. This time I couldn't! I was still lost in the world Cari Silverwood drags you into, wondering if I wanted to stay or run. Pieter and Jazmine will tear you apart with their raw emotions, smoldering heat and secret desires.
Pieter is not the typical hero, but is he evil? or a good man that does evil things? Jazmine is such a strong heroine, surviving a desolate situation, only to be tossed into what may be even worse, especially mentally. Can she surrender, but remain herself? Do either of them really know how far they are willing to go?
I honestly believe the best books are the ones that remain with you, that wrap you up in wire (couldn't resist!) and you can't stop thinking about them. Analyzing, rethinking-- not just the story-- but your own reactions. I loved this book!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 17, 2018Format: KindleBook 1 Take Me, Break Me
Dark, intriguing and erotic, with a dose of realism. Take Me, Break Me is a tale of a man who finds out there is more to himself than the peaceful, civilized veneer he has always worn.
We jump right into the book and learn all about the proposed documentary by Jodie to Klaus, their past relationship, some of her desires and his as well.
The documentary between Jodie and Klaus starts out fake. However, Klaus soon really begins to embrace the idea of it, getting a thrill like never before of having Jodie in his power. As
his desires grow he learns that he loves to cause Jodie pain and though he seems to fight with the idea of it, and doubts whether he is still the same man he was, he also cannot help himself.
For a month Jodie is his, sinking deeper and deeper, more at peace than she has ever been. You can see a drastic difference between Jodie at the start of Take Me, Break Me and her at the end. She was fascinated by capture fantasies and with Klaus, who she trusts unconditionally, she really lets go and embraces his new, darker side. Begins to crave it.
I have to say that while I have read plenty of books where men and women learn they are submissive and into BDSM, I do believe this is the first book I have ever read about a man finding out he is into BDSM and dominate. It was wonderful to read and learn a little about what dominate might struggle with when they first realize their interest in BDSM, especially later in their life. we usually just get the story from a submissive.
From the very beginning I think author Cari Silverwood has really been one to bring in a dose of realism to her writing and characters—like in her and author Leia Shaw’s book 31 Flavors of Kink, which was based on a true story and kept that ‘real’ feel—Take Me, Break Me also has a very ‘real’ feel. Klaus was not a perfect Dom, just a man discovering himself and slowly learning what it means to be a Dominant, while also coping with the knowledge that he is a sadist.
One thing that, while I didn’t dislike it as a part of the book (it really fit in with Klaus’ desires) but it did make me shiver in a not-good-way was the needle play. There is really only one scene and it was not hardcore or anything, but I hate needles and I could not help but shudder and think about being poked with them. Definitely not a fantasy of mine. But again it was a short scene and looking at it without my horrid fear of them it really fit in the book and Klaus’ desires.
Overall Take Me, Break Me was an intense and very hot read that will stick with readers a long time after you put it down. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a darker BDSM read and I'm looking forward to book two in the Pierced Hearts series.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 17, 2020Format: KindleVerified PurchaseSometimes you love a book, sometimes you hate it and it’s not always easy to tell why. For me, it isn’t hard to tell what I liked and didn’t like about this set, but to rate it is exceptionally hard to do. I think ⭐️⭐️⭐️ is not enough and ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ is too much.
While I loved Krause and liked Jodi in the first story somehow it all drifted away, and it turned darker and darker. Cari Silverwood is a skilled writer and I like her style. 🤔 maybe I should read books one at the time and not buy box sets anymore?

5.0 out of 5 stars A great set of books
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThe series gets darker from one book to the next, these men are not heroes - not by a long way. However they do adore and worship their women, even if they sometimes have a strange way of showing it. The first book is very consensual non-consent, but we then have good men doing bad things for somewhat good reasons, until we get bad men doing good things but in a scary way!
The stories are excellently written, the characters well rounded and the kink gets progressively hotter and more boundary pushing with each book. Barbed wire - ouch!
