Pippa Parker Cozy Mysteries Box Set: Books 4-6 (Pippa Parker Mysteries) Kindle Edition

4.2 out of 5 stars 30 ratings

Meet Pippa Parker – mum, amateur sleuth, and resident of a quaint English village called Much Gadding – in a box set of her 3 latest cases.

Murder in the Meadow

When Tony Green returns to his home village of Much Gadding not everyone is happy – especially when he proposes a new housing development right in the middle of it. The village is divided, but that’s no reason to murder the poor man.

Or is it?

Pippa Parker has enough on her plate already, with concerts to organise and the additional task of finding a primary school for her son Freddie. She doesn’t have the time or the inclination to investigate a murder. But with the village in disarray and her business in danger, does she have a choice?

The QWERTY Murders

A wedding and ... how many funerals?

Pippa Parker has decided that crime doesn’t pay – solving it, that is. She’s happily retired from detection, and busy juggling her events business with school and playgroup.

But when a dying journalist phones Pippa, she has no choice but to get involved.

It should be an easy case, since the murder took place at the offices of the Gadcester Chronicle. But everyone with a motive has an alibi. And when a near-miss happens days later, and a linked clue is found at the scene, Pippa and the police realise they may have a serial killer on their hands.

Can Pippa stop the QWERTY Murders? And can she also organise Lila’s wedding, keep Serendipity’s family in check, and stay on the right side of Freddie’s teacher?

Past Tense

The coldest case you ever saw…

When Pippa Parker attends a meeting about Clementina Stoate, Victorian poet and former resident of Much Gadding, she has no idea what she’s getting into.

First a file of Clementina’s letters goes missing – and of course there are no copies. Who has taken the letters, and why?

Clementina’s descendant hires Pippa to track the letters down. But as she investigates their disappearance, Pippa discovers a bigger mystery. The only problem is that everyone involved is dead.

Can Pippa go back in time and solve a case which has puzzled Clementina’s readers for generations? Or is she risking her reputation for nothing?

Liz Hedgecock grew up in London, England, did an English degree, and then took forever to start writing. After several years working in the National Health Service, some short stories crept into the world. A few even won prizes. Then the stories started to grow longer...

Now Liz travels between the nineteenth and twenty-first centuries, murdering people. To be fair, she does usually clean up after herself.

Liz’s reimaginings of Sherlock Holmes, her Pippa Parker cozy mystery series, and the Caster & Fleet Victorian mystery series (with Paula Harmon) are available in ebook and paperback.

Liz lives in Cheshire with her husband and two sons, and when she’s not writing or child-wrangling you can usually find her reading, messing about on Twitter, or cooing over stuff in museums and art galleries. That's her story, anyway, and she's sticking to it.

The further adventures of Pippa Parker and her involvement in village mysteries. I’d like to say that it’s unrealistic for a busy mother to be involved in solving crime, and yes, it probably is…but Pippa Parker’s day to day life as a working mother is definitely realistic and who cares about the rest of it, when you can sit down and enjoy a bit of well written storytelling. Liz Hedgecock’s books were recommended by a friend on his New Year’s reading list - now I can recommend them too!
