Prescription for Love (Road to Blissville, #7) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 1,077 ratings

What should’ve been an ordinary emergency call turned out to be something extraordinary.

Wanting to distance himself from his toxic parents, Trent Love moved to the quaint town of Blissville to begin a new life. What he finds is blazing chemistry with a hunky fireman who breathes new life into him.

Fearing they’re too different, Tucker attempts to extinguish the spark between them before it can ignite. How could a simple man like him compete with Trent’s life of wealth and privilege? Knowing you shouldn’t want something doesn’t make it go away, and Tucker’s desire for Trent continues to smolder.

Unwilling to accept their relationship is dead on arrival, Trent puts his resuscitation skills to good use. All he wants is a chance to prove he values Tucker’s wealth of character over meaningless material things. What do you get when you mix fire and oxygen: a five-alarm fire or a prescription for love?

Trent’s commitment to freeing himself from poisonous ties kindles a chain of events that have devastating consequences for both men. Is a relationship forged in fire strong enough to overcome these obstacles or is their love doomed to be just another bitter pill to swallow?

Prescription for love is a small-town, opposites-attract romance. It is the seventh book in the Road to Blissville series but reads like a standalone book. It contains sexually explicit material intended for adults 18 and older.

Aimee Nichole Walker hits another one out of the Park with perscription for love. Like all her books it surrounds you and makea you part of the blissville world. Dr. Love the procurer of drama from a certain platinum blonde salon owner finally gets his chance at love and who better than sexy Mr.March Tucker Garrison. After helping Trent while doing an emergency delivery the spark of love was ignited. After awkward moments between them Tucker gives love a chance . This story pulls you in and wont let go till its done. Aimee always seems to give the best she has in each story and they only get better and better. A must read.

I've been meaning to get into this series but when this one came out I dove right in even though it's the seventh one. They all take place in a small Ohio town and this is a standalone according to the blurb. But what drew me in to this one was the cover.

The cover is Trent, the doctor who moved to Blissville to get away from what turns out to be the nastiest and stupidest parents in the history of the world (OK, a bit of exaggeration). In an incident that occurs before he comes back from a tour with Doctors Without Borders he meets up with fireman/EMT Tucker when they help deliver a baby. The attraction is instant but Trent disappears for his overseas stint without telling Tucker what, when or why.

That's a nice way to end something which could have begun.

But when he does return to Blissville, one of Trent's first stops is Tucker's grandmother Shirlene's animal rescue center where the flames start flying before they even say hello--and so do all the questions and fears that Tucker has about getting together with a man who is obviously as smitten as he is.

What follows is a beautifully developed romance between two very virile and sexually insatiable men who are surrounded by some very supporting and loving characters--Tucker's grammie and Trent's sister especially.

What also follows is a stunningly bizarre twist involving Trent's parents which will stand your hair on end and then smooth it down gradually until you look in the mirror and see two wonderful characters who make a wonderful book.

This is part of an excellent, interwoven community of stories. It slides into that world smoothly, but is able to stand alone without problem. The lead characters both pass my 'would I have have a drink with them' test. The relationship is shown in all its steps. That progression is important to the story for me. The challenges the author gives them are real world, serious and yet ultimately surmountable. This is one that makes it easy to ignore the chores giving you the stink-eye.

I always look forward to Ms. Walkers books. This one fell flat for me. While the actual love story worked, the angst didn't. For an MC to fall apart because he learned something distasteful about parents he never knew didn't work for me. To have nightmares, damage your career, hurt your relationships, over people who died when you were 9 months old isn't realistic.

This book, as part of the Road to Blissville series, is a wonderful escape.

I have read every book of this series and this one did not disappoint. Actually, I've read all of Aimee Nicole Walker's books and they just keep getting better and better.

We met Trent a while ago in the Curl up and Dye series. I always thought then that he wasn't given a fair shake but this book more than makes up for it. We learn more about Trent and his not so great relationship with his overbearing and snobbish parents. Tucker......well, what can you say? We just love him and Grammie and can see why him and Trent make such a good couple.

The story was wonderful......we got to see some old characters which was nice! I laughed every time "Pinky and the Brain" were mentioned - so cute! The is a saccharin sweet story but is so well written, you don't get a toothache. Lots of steamy times too! What I loved most about this book was the banter between Tuck and Trent.

This is a great book and a wonderful addition to this series. Nothing Aimee Nicole Walker writes can be missed......yes, she is that good.

Tucker and Trent, the fireman and the Doc. They are both in caring professions and so it’s no surprise they fall for each other and have a very caring relationship. Of course there are struggles along the way as truths are revealed. But these two are so good together you are rooting for them from the start. This is a great feel good book and a good addition to this series.

Awww I LOVED these two. Tucker and Trent are a brilliant couple. I freely admit Trent came across as a bit of a tool in the Curl Up And Dye Mysteries, but in Prescription for Love, I understood why. I had tears in my eyes towards the end - maybe that's just me being a sap!!

So glad Tucker found love especially with Dr Love who wasn’t just a giant fool they made him out to be with Gabe and Jazz. Both had traumatic back stories and to see Tucker hurt by Trent terrible parents was so sad. I loved his Grammie and all the supporting character. Aimee Nicole Walker writes the best series.

Aimee has given us another fabulous read with this beautiful love story which was a really sweet read with Trent and Tucker. Although I was waiting for more from Trent’s nasty mother to come into play. His parents came and went very quickly, but Tucker’s Grammie was always true and loyal to them both. I must look into those ‘Crime Podcasts’ 😂😂😂
I’m always looking forward to reading Aimee’s next book, so bring it on!

Nice continuation of the Blissville series. Trent and Tucker were adoring making eyes at each other in the last book, that their story was inevitable. Both MC's are lovely and both have family angst to deal with. A few cameos from previous MC's in the series (not essential to have read their storie). All works out for a lovely HEA and well worth a read.

    I read via KU.
