Shannon is a born and raised Texan. She grew up inventing clever stories, usually to get herself out of trouble. Her mother was not amused. In junior high, she began writing fractured fairy tales from the villain's point of view and that was the moment she knew that she was going to use her powers for evil instead of good.

In 2003, she moved to Denver and met the love of her life. After some relentless stalking and a few well-timed sarcastic remarks, the man eventually gave in to her charms and wifed her so hard. They welcomed a son in 2007 that they named after their favorite Marvel superhero, Spiderman.

Sick of seeing beautiful mountains through their window every day, the three escaped back to the desolate landscape of the west Texas desert in 2009. She welcomed her second son not long after and soon realized that being surrounded by three men was nothing at all like she'd imagined in her fantasies.

After an unplanned surgery in 2014 and a long pity party, she decided to pen a novel about the worst thing that could happen to a person in order to cheer herself up. She's twisted like that. Thus, From This Day Forward was born and the rest, as they say, is history.

    This book and entire series are EVERYTHING you're looking for in books. They definitely have the spice 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 (check the triggers if you have any). But this series has so much more. The plot is top-notch! The characters are so well written that they come alive on the pages. The twists and turns are better than any roller-coaster ride, and the laughs are there too! I hate spoilers, so I won't post any, but trust me when I tell you I couldn't wait to read the next page and wish I could read it for the first time, all over again!

    Silent Phoenix MC series book 2. So this book continues with Ceilia and Grey story with the club and kids as well. He comes back and all hell breaks loose. Ceilia has been through some terrifying trauma. Grey has been on a binge. Time passes and children grow up but the love these to share grows as well. This book is heartbreaking, gut wrenching good. Dramatic to the 10th power. So many secrets twists and turns. My problem is we're two books in and I'm still not sure of why this is happening like what's the beef. And why can't they get it together? Who is Cobra and Saint? A fascinating read for sure. A new author for me and so far I like it. Onto the next book in the series.

    This book is a continuation of the Silent Phoenix MC and involves characters from the previous books so I would recommend reading them before reading this book in order for it to make sense.

    Wow! What a roller coaster of a ride! I laughed. I cried...a lot. I got mad. The end of Deserter left me with so much emotion it hurt waiting for Protector. However, the wait was worth it as this is Celia's story.

    Celia is an amazing character. She's strong, fierce, a warrior and an all around bad*ss. Grey calls her princess but she is a QUEEN! The love she has for her family, including Grey, because he's the love of her life, is limitless and she'll go to the ends of the earth and take on any pain sent her way for those she loves. The h*'ll this woman goes through and the betrayal that is around every corner is unbelievable. She is a protector but at the same time has her own protector.

    The growth Celia and Grey go through is rough to read, there are graphic scenes in this book be warned. They aren't easy to read and I doubt easy to write, but Shannon put it all out there and watching the strength of her characters developed was incredible. I wish I could give examples but then I would spoil something and there are too many twists 😉 to do that to anyone.

    If you have read any of her other books in the series, you'll start to get answers. If you're like me you'll want to go back and re-read them all.

    Now to patiently wait for Savior to wrap this up and when you read the end of Protector you'll understand my impatience.

    I was hooked in on the first book but too many points of view, time lapses and plot twists made this too long and exhausting. I started skipping around then just skipped to the epilogue of the last book to see how everything turned out. I keyword searched a few characters to see what happened to them but then found I just couldn’t care anymore because it was just too much! Reminded me a lot of the 9 Minutes MC story. DNF and had not closure. The authors writing it good so that’s what will draw you in.

    Book 2 of the silent phoenix Mc series picks up book 1 ended. With grey dead to the world and his woman barely hanging on. We see him go on benders because he couldn’t protect his ol’ lady to getting sober and making sure she knows he will spend the rest of his life making it up to her. There are some strong triggers so if s/a is something that you can’t handle than this book isn’t for you. I have spent the better part of 3 days just immersed in the first 2 books. It has kept me on my toes with every thing good and horrible that has happened to Celia and grey. I have also cried more times than I can count with the first 2 books and I know I’ll be sobbing with the rest of the series

    Wow I have no words other than if you love MC stories then read this series but this is no happily ever romance story, it’s far from it. It’s dark, harrowing, heartbreaking and shocking in parts and the twists are turns keep coming. From reading several reviews there seems to be some confusion in the reading order but I suggest you trust the author and follow her reading order. Will Celia and Jamie get their happily ever after? I don’t know as this ends on a cliffhanger as does book 3 and book 4 which is told from Mikey and Lauren’s point of view so I’m hoping book 5 will have all the answers. Absolutely fantastic read but be warned it may contain triggers.
