    It was a brilliant novella. I would have loved if it was a bit longer because I didn't want the story to end. I love every written word in this book. I fell in love with Sebastian Moldovan. I even told the author. I would love to see them in the Replay series in the future.

    I look forward to reading more of Nia Farrell's book. Highly Recommend.

    Ashley goes to Replay for researching a movie role about abduction and interrogation and because she likes
    it there too. Master Sorin is chosen as Ashley's dom and in real life, he is Doctor Moldovan. They find that
    their pairing is good for them both and they work through the different scenes while keeping Ashley as pain
    free as possible. Ashley had back surgery and hasn't had many pain free times since. One thing at Replay
    that Ashley wants to experience and could use for her research, is going to the RACK part of Replay.
    RACK is the Risk Aware Consensual Kink part of Replay where the play is a deeper, darker BDSM Kink is
    played out.
    Master Sorin being Master and a Doctor helps Ashley and Ashley being the person that she is, helps Master
    Sorin feel his softer side and deeper feelings.
    In the end, when I swiped past the last page, I was happier for reading this wonderful love story, for that is what
    The Dark Side really was, a love story.

    As a person who suffers from a lot of pain, I admired the amount of care and attention Master Sorin put into Ashley. I loved how open she was to experience new things and I love that Replay found her the perfect Dom to explore Replay with. She isn't just another Hollywood starlet, I loved the level of depth that Farrell had created in both of them.
    This was a touch different than the other Replay books, and I think because of the level of trust and attraction these two have, it's quite possibly my favorite of the series.

    I didn't realize this book was #8 in a series when I bought it. (I know, it's clearly marked. Can't explain it). I absolutely Loved it. Master Sorin is Hot AF. Even though it was a shorter book it didn't feel short. I enjoyed this book so much I immediately bought books 1-7. I had no trouble following along as Sebastian and Ashley are the main focus of the story with minimal mention of the other couples from previous books. Five White Hot Stars on this one! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

    Ashley is a successful actress who needs to conduct research on an upcoming role she plans to audition for. The hard part is being able to convincingly play someone who had deal with terror and suffering. To help her with this, she requests to “study” at the resort and is given permission by the resort owner.

    To experience her simulation adequately, he matches her with Master Sorin, who is known for being a little darker than others but also does so consensually and without too much harm. Sorin pushes her limits and gets Ashley to open up. They even have a hotter than hell vampire scene that l read a few times. Will Sorin prove to be too much for Ashley? Will she break emotionally? Or will she find that Master Sorin is just what she needs in her life?
