    First, this is a standalone read with a HEA. It is HOT, SEXY, ROMANTIC and just plain takes your breath away. I LOVED this hero. I love a guy that loves his woman and this guy does. A firefighter with a reputation as a playboy is having a hard time convincing the woman that he has secretly loved for years is serious about her.. It was fun to get back to New Zealand and catch up with this group of friends. Lots has happened in their lives that has changed them forever. The heroine, Billie, of the story has recently had a bad breakup with the guy she was quite serious about. There are a lot of secrets in her life and she is never sure how her friends will react if she reveals who she really is.

    The fireman, Jonah, has a lot of secrets of his own. Everyone speculates and goes in the wrong direction. He is sworn to secrecy so he doesn't know how to live with a secret or break his vow and tell. And if he tells, how will the others be effected by the truth? It weighs heavily on him. Billie and Jonah have been sparing for years but she was in a relationship and then he had a tragedy hit his life and it didn't seem like there would ever be their time.

    This is a good story. A wonderful romance with two people coming together. I loved the story and these two characters. It is a very sexy read as Billie finds out just how Jonah earned his reputation!! The characters grow from fear and hurt to trusting and loving. It is a fun story as well. I really enjoyed it, found it to be very entertaining and I definitely recommend it. A great read.

    I have never had a Serenity Woods' book be a disappointment and I have 67. All can be standalone reads but to get the full story of all the characters it is more fun to start with the first book in the series. In this story the series Three Wise Men is mentioned, this is one of my all time favorite series. I highly recommend it as well. You don't need to read it to understand the reference in this story but if you are looking for something good to read then I highly recommend this one.

    This is a friends-to-lovers steamy contemporary romance set in New Zealand. I am a huge fan of Serenity Woods, and I have read and loved most of her books. However, this one was good but not great, in my opinion. Usually, I love and connect with both main characters from the first few pages but not so much with this novella. Jonah was quite nice, respectful, and a gorgeous firefighter. Billie (the female primary character) was nice, but her particular brand of nervousness about dating got on my nerves a little. I always felt a bit distant from the two of them. Also, it seems like there was less sensory detail in this novel than is usually the case in Serenity Woods' books.
    Now, the great things. First, Jonah and Billie both had some extremely interesting secrets that pre-dated the start of their dating relationship. Those secrets helped to keep me interested. Next, I appreciated how Jonah took their relationship slowly, as Billie requested. I love how he finally swept her off her feet. Lastly, the bedroom scenes were smoking hot!
    This is Book #3 in the “Between the Sheets” series. It can be read as a standalone, but I think it would be better if you read Book #1 (“A Secret Between Friends”) because people and events from that book are mentioned a lot in this Book #3. You don’t have to read Book #2 in order because stuff from that book is barely mentioned. I adored Book #1 and #2, both 5 stars for me. This series is about a circle of about eight friends, a few of whom are siblings. I think that eight is a lot of names to keep track of, especially since it has been so long since I read the previous books.

    This is Book 3 in the Between the Sheets series but it also can be read as a stand alone.

    This book is Billie’s and Jonah’s story. These two have been dancing around each other for a while now but both are trying to raise funds for the Three Kings Charity. Billie is dared to go out on a date with Jonah by their mutual friends donating $200. Billie isn’t too sure about this date since she doesn’t want to ruin her friendship with Jonah. Jonah is all into the date though. He may be a thrill seeker but he has realized that he is into Billie.

    Jonah has taken to doing extreme sports to make him feel alive. This is on top of his job as a
    fire fighter. Jonah is definitely into Billie and promises her time to get to know each other before they sleep with each other. Billie has sworn that she will not sleep with Jonah. The question is can she hold out? Can they take their friendship past the friendship level and explore the sparks they set off?

    This book is a quick and easy read with well developed characters like all books by Ms. Woods. Perfect for a rainy weekend at home or lounging in the shade near the pool or oceanside.

    Right Between the Eyes is a terrific addition to the Between The Sheets Series. Jonah and Billie make an awesome couple--even if it did take Billie a while to figure that out. Having been friends for years they have a solid foundation on which to build their relationship. I loved the way they took it slow and easy instead of jumping into bed. My heart broke for Jonah concerning the secret he was carrying. I fully understand why he felt there was no one he could share it with to help lighten the load. I'm glad he finally opened up. As always, it was wonderful to see old friends and find out what was happening in their lives.

    I highly recommend any and all books written by the talented Serenity Woods. She never disappoints.

    Another amazing instalment in this series features Jonah and Billie.

    Billie and Jonah have been friends for several years. Billie viewed Jonah solely as a friend with whom she could pull pranks. However, Jonah had fallen for her the moment they met, but she was dating someone else. Fast forward a few months: Billie is now single and attempting to raise money for charity by offering hugs and kisses at a bar with her friends. Their mutual friends believe there should be something more between them, so they start bidding increasingly higher amounts for the chance to send Billie and Jonah on a date. Billie feels a bit overwhelmed by this; deep down, she has feelings for him, but is hesitant not to jeopardise their friendship. After a goodnight kiss following their date, Billie realises there is something special between them, but has to be sure.

    Jonah takes Billie away for a few days, where their romantic tension escalates, and he tells her that by the end, he will be all she can think about.

    The story also touches on some difficult topics and secrets, but ultimately, Billie and Jonah confirm their commitment to each other. It was great to see familiar characters return in this book, as it always enhances the reading experience.

    Loved this book, Billie and Jonah, loved how the gang all ganged up in her, made me chuckle. It's my favourite type of book where each story in the series, is connected and you see the other characters from previous stories. I was interested to see if there was a book about Tess and saw it was being released a few days later, over the moon can't wait to get and book 5 not too far behind it either. Love Serenity's book and almost worked my way through them all, never disappointed.
