Well I figured it would happen sooner or later but oh my, talk about one of the best reads. This one has it all and I mean ALL! I've read many novels and I love to read anything military with action, suspense, romance and even love, but when you come across ones that pulls every single emotion including the tears, I thought I had it all while I read. This story though brings all of that and more. This is my first time for reading this Authors novels and finding he has a Series as well makes it all the better. Don't pass the chance of missing out on reading this series. Each story is outstanding and you will not be disappointed in any one of Kerry Donovan's novels!

I enjoyed every book and glad I was able to read them in succession without having to wait on "a next in the series". My only criticism would be to the proofreaders for letting so many typos and grammar errors slip by, but don't let that stop your read.

When you, as the reader, share in the emotions of those you have come to know and love, you know the author has done his or her job.

I'm surprised that Captain Kaine lost one of his men, I was not expecting that. Hopefully in future books he doesn't lose anymore but this was one he should never have lost.

Is this the last of the Ryan Kaine series? I feel like we just abandoned Melanie Archer from book 7 for some reason. Good character development and tense moments kept this story moving along, but I can’t help but feeling frustrated at the bickering back and forth between Ryan and Laura. “You’re not coming on this mission!” “Oh yes I am!” “It’s too dangerous!” “I’m part of this, and you can’t stop me!” “Well, OK then.” It just gets monotonous after 7 books.

In this poor man's Jack Reacher, with weaker plots and OK-ish writing, only the characters kept me involved from book to book.

Killing off the #3 (and delightful) character is this series' Jump the Shark moment. The last book was half the length of the others, and this book wasted 1/3 of it killing off a character we have grown to care about. I'm done with this series as the author seems to have run out of enthusiasm for it.

5 Stars for taking me this far, though. Thanks.

Another cracking tale, taking on Hungarian gangsters. Continuing on from the last book, Ryan Kaine brings his own brand of justice to the head of a family who just can't take advice.

4.0 out of 5 stars Just A Great Character.... Ryan Kaine
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on March 4, 2021
Ryan Kaine is on the hunt… He is heading to help his friend Danny Pinkerton.

Setting out to teach an abusive husband a lesson, Danny Pinkerton quickly finds himself surrounded by a crime family that stretches back to Győr in Hungary and a collection of very nasty characters.

Outgunned and outnumbered, Pinkerton turns to his closest friend, Ryan Kaine for help.

In a story that travels across Europe and pushes Kaine and Pinkerton to the very edge of survival, On The Hunt is a test of friendship and bond that neither man is prepared to fail.

Even if the outcome is fatal.

Ryan Kaine is a character I have got to know over these 8 books in the series, Kerry has created a great team of characters, Danny being one, Rollo another, and of course Lara.

This is well paced, exciting, fast paced story with some real shocks, Ryan Kaine's dry wit, so important to the stories and do make you smile.

Kerry you know how much I like Ryan Kaine, how I like my action thrillers and I enjoyed this, not as fast paced as some of the previous books but still very good.

    A clear four star.

If you like Lee Child, Mark Dawson, Mark Greaney, Gregg Hurwitz, Robert Ludlum, you’re going to find the Ryan Kaine series compulsively addictive I recommend them.
