About the Author

#1 International Best-seller with Ryan Kaine: On the Run, Kerry was born in Dublin. He currently lives with Margaret in a bungalow in Nottinghamshire. He has three children and four grandchildren. Kerry earned a first-class honours degree in Human Biology and has a PhD in Sport and Exercise Sciences. A former scientific advisor to The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, he helped UK emergency first-responders prepare for chemical attacks in the wake of 9/11. He is also a former furniture designer/maker.

Kerry J Donovan was born in Dublin. A citizen of the world, he now lives with his partner, Margaret, in Newark on Trent, Nottinghamshire. He has three children and four grandchildren. When he's not creating more mayhem for Ryan Kaine and DCI David Jones to clean up, he's riding the countryside on his motorbike, keeping fit by running and swimming, and doing little bits of DIY.

This could and probably should be made into an action thriller in my opinion!
When I read that this book would remind me of Die Hard I knew I just had to read it. Whoever wrote that was correct! There are twists and turns and a hero who gets more beat up (but survives it all). He was conned into killing a whole lot of people without his knowledge--and he was going to get revenge on the people responsible! Of course he meets two women who help him in various ways, as well as friends who would lay down their lives for him. And then of course there was that friend------ I read this one non stop--the action is incredible--I could actually visualize what was going on even though it got very gruesome at times. This author knows how to make those scenes come to life! This could and probably should be made into an action thriller in my opinion! This book ends with our hero deciding how he is going to exonerate himself--which means--another book I just have to read!

    I can read all day and night about a main character taking on and defeating multiple bad guys, but I really don't like when the MC gets worked over, stabbed, still bleeding, having to continue with injuries not quite fatal and lack of sleep. THEN gets beaten to a pulp.
    I'm probably alone in appreciating the writers use of 'pulling an elephant out of his hat' and miraculously winning an impossible situation, but - couldn't he have done it beFORE getting the fuzz beaten out of him?
    That's where they all lose me.
    I want to root for the good guy.
    I'm really not sitting here thinking ' oh c'mon ya big baby, get up and finish this.'
    I AM thinking, when is he gonna fall flat on his face?
    Stick a fork in him, he's done.
    But nooo.
    The writer has more for him to do.
    Took me - a speed reader - 3 days to read this, because I had to keep putting it down.

    I liked the way Ryan planned out his escape. The only thing I had a hard time with was that the story takes place in England so I wasn't familiar with the names of the towns but it was only a slight problem. Ryan meets friends along the way that play a part in his adventure. With everyone out to kill him he evades or takes them on. His shooting skills and fighting skills are legendary. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read books about heroes that have to overcome adversities.

    If you're a fan of JacK Bauer you will like this book for sure. Ryan Kaine and Jack Bauer are very similar- ultra skilled, honest agents that get framed,ou tricked into commiting a horrendous crime, but they'll do everything on their power to make things right no matter the cost.
    I'm hooked and will definitely keep reading to find out what happens to him.
    It was a very entertaining but also contain some pretty violent scenes-always check for trigger warnings.
