* * NEW: The Rancher's Unexpected Nanny with added epilogue! * *

Finn Henry was once a rodeo star. That was, until life happened. His wife was expecting, his father in law was injured, and the family ranch needed someone at the helm. There seemed no choice but to retire from glory and move back to their hometown to raise their family. When Finn’s wife died suddenly just three years later, it seemed like their twist of fate had given him the twist again: all his dreams were dead. To compensate he’d thrown himself into ranching—losing himself in the grief.

Callie Winter, has landed her dream job moving to the east coast to work for a prestigious private school, but she’s fallen in love out west...with an adorable kindergartener. Wendy Henry has imprinted on Callie and Callie is scared she’s imprinted right back. Callie knows she should head out in June and get settled out east, but then she finds herself offering her services as a summer nanny after one too many parent teacher conferences gone badly with Finn. Callie’s excuse is to earn the extra money she needs to rent a home in the historical area around the school...but the reality may be that it’s harder to leave the pair than she ever expected.

Callie’s goal for the summer is to reunite father and daughter so that she can leave and know that the two of them have bonded again. However, as they learn to live together, Callie finds that she’s more involved than ever, as she learns to love the stoic rancher. Suddenly, she’s wondering if maybe her dream isn’t her dream anymore...but is Finn ready to open his heart again?

This novel contains scenes with sexual content and profanity.

I really like Leslie North books, so when I saw this one with a new author, I decided to try it. I really liked the characters. They were interesting, well-developed with a happily ever after. If you like Nanny romances, you will enjoy this book. In addition to receiving an arc from Booksprout, I purchased the book for my collection.

The Rancher’s Unexpected Nanny by Mary Sue Jackson is a sweet romance with lovely characters, especially the adorable Wendy! I really liked Callie, a teacher, and felt that this author did a nice job of creating this character authentically as a teacher. Callie is a true nurturer, just what really good teachers are.
Overall, a sweet romance that a little girl help bind the main characters together after soul-searching on the adult’s parts. The HEA leaves the final outcome to the imagination of the reader.
I read an ARC of this book from Hidden Gems and voluntarily share my review.

I felt the development of the characters was strong in the beginning . Then the plot jumped with heavy focus on Finn & Calle but very little on Wendy.
I did not follow how Wendy went to New York with Calle to live while Finn went off to the rodeo circuit .
The ending was not a surprise , but, how Finn got to it was based on Sam's experience .

This is the first book I have read by Mary Sue Jackson and was kept entertained and engaged from beginning to end. I really liked Callie Winter a teacher who agrees to be nanny for the summer for rancher and single dad Finn Henry and his five year old daughter, Wendy. If you enjoy books by Leslie North, don't miss The Rancher's Unexpected Nanny. I received an advance reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Callie is a teacher that is very dedicated to her students. She calls one students father in to talk about Wendy going to a school that will be better suited for her because she is more advanced than the other students. However talking to Finn about it causes a stir because he is a single father struggling to do it on his own. So when she suggests that they try a summer program to see how Wendy does Finn misunderstands and thinks that Callie is offering to work as his nanny and help out with Wendy. When she realizes he misunderstood and that because of it that it helps her in a way she agrees to help him. What neither counted on was the attraction between them to be so intense. Its not long before they give in. But when Callie has to leave for her job in New York earlier than expected Finn asks if she'll tale Wendy with her because he got on the rodeo circuit. Will Finn see that Callie and him are the perfect fit? Can they make it work?

This is a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Callie is Wendy's teacher, Finn is her father. Callie thinks Wendy is being kept back in her current class and talks to Finn about a private school that would be much better for her.
Things are said and Finn misunderstood Callie and thinks she offers to be his nanny for the summer.
Callie doesn't want to let him down, so agrees to move out to his ranch for the summer.
Little Wendy isn't the only one Callie doesn't want to leave behind after the summer.
A brilliantly written story with excellent characters and a happy ending guaranteed.

Well written, good characters and an engaging story.
