Raphael (An Incubus' Mate Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.2 out of 5 stars 370 ratings

Raphael has resigned himself to being the matchmaker but never the match. Dating and intimacy are scary, but there’s something about Damien that draws him in. Maybe it’s the lightheartedness that Damien always projects. Maybe it’s his cute horns and dexterous tail. Either way, before Raphael knows it, he’s longing to have Damien as more than just his friend.

Damien’s a demon of lust who has lived his life thinking short term; serious partners were unnecessary. That is, until he meets an adorable blushing cupid named Raphael. Now friends with benefits, one night stands, and his ‘anyone will do’ attitude doesn’t sound as fulfilling.

Between dealing with corrupt matchmaking supervisors, miscommunications, tripping balls on adult candies, and adorable painting dates, the two realize that despite being opposites on paper, just maybe they make the perfect match in practice.

Raphael is book one in An Incubus’ Mate series. This book features an incubus and virgin cupid, found family, adult candies, laugh out loud moments, tail smut, wing grooming, and of course, a happily ever after!

What a great story! Damien is one of a set of demon triplets, who is a one and done. Raphael is a Cupid who can’t see his own love threads, so he’s basically in the dark. These two were adorable together!!

A cute little MM novella about an outgoing, promiscuous incubus and a quiet, virgin Cupid. This may have been short and sweet but it was absolutely not lacking on the spice or angst. Raphael and Damien falling in love had me all in my feels. Plus, you can’t go wrong with some tail action.

This was a good book. I liked the triplets and their close bond. The candy shop sounds amazing. And the phone call was hilarious.

I really enjoyed this story. I loved Raphael and Damien. Their relationship is so sweet and the way they fall is so adorable.

These books are sugar and spice and everything nice!! I absolutely devoured them on my flight home yesterday. I was lucky enough to get the arc of book 2, but then I realized the third book isn’t out until September and nearly cried. 😂

Raphael & Damien were complete opposites but so adorably perfect for each other. The angelic cupid with the incubus?! Yes, please. Plus tail play and wing kink?! Whew. 🔥 Then you get a little bit of hurt/comfort with hunky Nicolai & shy Gadreel … but it’s still lighthearted and very sweet. And more tails plus knotting?! I am here for it! 🥵

Despite the shorter length, I felt like I still got the character development and world building that I needed. And it didn’t hurt that they had all the fated mate vibes that get me 🥰 every time! They had me laughing and swooning. I loved both couples and cannot wait for Andras & Bren’s book next!

The characters are beautifully crafted, each grappling with their insecurities while discovering the strength that love brings. The heartfelt moments and whimsical world-building create a delightful backdrop for their journey, making this sweet MM romance a poignant exploration of vulnerability and connection. Perfect for anyone looking for a charming story that celebrates love in all its forms.

Awe that book was so… just everything! It was totally cute and funny. Even though it was a short read it was so epic :) I can’t wait to read the next one

This is such a cute story. It's really sweet how Raphael and Damien's relationship develops even though they're both a little clueless as to what each of them really wants for most of it. I'm looking forward to the next book now.

I received an ARC and this is my unbiased opinion

Contains: PNR, incubus, angel, ability to see link line, tail shenanigans, and wings 🪽

This book was refreshing, slightly different, with all the best sides. It's full on fluffy and has a great dilemma. Even though I have never taken drŭgs of my life, I found all the craziness they talk about very hilarous. It was really a funny accident.

This was fun to read. I liked the two main characters and that they decided to take a chance on each other. The triplets were hilarious with each other. Damien, despite being a demon, was sweet. Laughed myself silly in a couple of places. A very enjoyable story and can’t wait to read the rest of the books in this series.

I was really surprised how much I enjoyed this book. I picked it because sounded a little different and I was right but it was still really good. I loved all the characters and can't wait to see more happy endings.
