    4 STARS FOR ROCKING STANDBY!! This was a good book with great characters that keeps you turning pages. I enjoyed Gage and Bentley's story, they had challenges to get through and some were difficult. This was my first book by Cassandra Lawson and I can't wait to read more by her.

    A ROCKIN', SEXY, SIZZLING, ROMANCE FROM CASSANDRA LAWSON! Rocking Standby is the newest book from Miss Lawson and I have to admit, this one was downright RIVETING. The few rock star Romances I have read in the past, I enjoyed, but this one had good heart, wickedly HOT sex, fabulous characters, and passionate romance.

    What I really enjoyed about this particular rock star romance was I felt we got a really good look at all the members of this band. We got to feel what its like touring while trying to maintain their families, their own troubles as well as their new relationships. It was kind of exciting! Plus we get Cassandra's AMAZING style of writing and the incredible passion between the characters I have always loved. And I feel like the chemistry was OFF THE CHARTS SCORCHING HOT! And we even get moments that bring tears to the eyes. All in all, this was unforgettable and beyond ANYTHING I could of imagined!

    Rocking Standby gets an ENTHRALLING FIVE SHOOTING STARS! I can hardly wait to read more rock star romances by Miss Lawson!

    I finished Rocking Standby last Friday night and my only criticism is "why do i have to wait 3 months or more for Piper and Austin?" This book is so good; SO very, very good. I'm not normally big on rocker books but if the ones I haven't read are anything like yours, I'm missing out. I LOVED this book.

    Bentley is such a wondrous character in knowing her flaws, being affected by her past and yet wanting to try and grow past it. Gage also was flawed but grows. The rest of the band are so fun that I can't wait to learn so much more about them; especially since we get a bite of the backstory between Austin and a woman from his past. I can't wait to learn more about Cami, Xander, Harley, Mercy, Lex, and especially more about the history of Colin and James.

    Gentle but honest handling of mental illness, addiction, homosexuality.

    I can't wait to read book two. The author has converted me to a new subgenre.

    I was first introduced to Cassandra Lawson in her Love Without Batteries series. When I saw she had a new book I jumped at the chance to read Rocking Standby (so excited that it's another series!)

    Gage and Bentley meet on of all things an airplane! From the moment these two meet sparks fly and you immediately begin to root for them. As I was reading the book Bentley's name sounded so familiar, then I realized she one of of Delaney's (Sultry at 30) cousins with the car names. Gage has some family issues he has to deal with and it turns out Bentley work's for Gage's half brother in San Francisco. As much as Gage wants to be with Bentley, she's scared to be with a rock star because her brother was in a band once and got mixed up into drugs and other things.

    I don't want to give anything away but if you like rocker stories (one that is not a bad boy) and very hot you'll love Rocking Standby

    This was a delightful rock star story to read. Intense moments at times, with very down ro earth issues brought up within the main story line. I can hardly wait to hear more about the other band members and their journeys towards love. Good Stuff!
