Actually, I have been looking forward to another book of hers with some real angst. Well, I got that angsty read here. The emotions and backstory in this book are absolutely exceptional. You see a second chance story from two childhood friends and lovers. Both have been put through absolute hell and have survived. The details the author uses put you in the moment, you feel you are right there with both of them. Beckett Armstrong .... what can I say about that swoony cowboy besides HE IS EVERYTHING!! Seriously in the top 3 all time in my book. “The fact of the matter is, you’re back, and I’m tired of being the guy who’s always pissed off at the world. I don’t want old scars getting in the way of my future happiness. I don’t want to figure out how to live life without you again. I barely survived it the first time; I don’t think I could handle it a second. You’re my person, Presley. You have been since the moment we met.     What a love story! I swooned over Beck and Presleys relationship. How they were so in love and connected when they were younger and then a life changing moment happens. And years go by but once they see each other it’s as if they were those teenagers just with adult problems in their way. This was such a good storyline. It is a beautiful story of love and second chances both Presley and Beckett have their own trauma but choose each other to help fight it together it was amazing to read. I hope we get a both for. Clayton and Nikki or should I say Nicole lol I was so intrigued by them. This book was full of banter and swoony moments was such a good read and if you love a good small town romance, hurt/comfort, trauma past but with a great HEA this is a great read for you totally recommend.

    This is such an amazing journey about Presley and Beckett. Each has gone through some things in their life but these things bring them back in the same town together. Beckett was Presley's everything. Now Presley is leaving an abusive marriage and back in her home town.

    Such an emotional read that makes you think and reflect on things and wonder how things could have been different and what if. Also makes you hopeful for better things in life.

    Redemption pulls at the heart strings on so many different levels. This is one emotional rollercoaster you will not want to miss. Laura Lee does this phenomenal job of weaving a second chance for Presley and Beckett. Though there may be some triggers for some this book is just phenomenal. You see Presley go through so much and finally come out so much stronger then before. You see Beckett go from anger to compassion. There are so many layers of emotions with this that you just may need a tissue or two or even a bottle of your favorite drink. This is one of those books you will not want to look away from. You will get sucked into Beckett and Presley's story from the very start. You will fall in love with them as everything gets rebuilt. This book is just one I fell in love with through all the tragedy there is even more of a beautiful healing love that forms. You need to one click this one.

    This story was absolutely amazing. I don’t even know where to start. I definitely recommend reading the trigger warnings before reading this gem of a book. The bond between Beckett and Presley was so strong that it made me so sad to think of what they went through when they weren’t together. I love how the author tells the story from past to present in each chapter. I can’t say too much because I don’t want to spoil the story but if you think you can handle the triggers I definitely recommend this beautiful read. I sure hope there is a book two. It sounds like Nicky has a story to tell.

    This book was amazing! What a journey! I was hooked right away! This is a great childhood friends to lovers and second chance romance. I always love getting to see both past and current timelines in second chance romances and this was written so well. Both characters went through so much, both together and separately and I loved seeing them overcome their scars to be together. This was an absolutely amazing read and I can't wait to read more from Laura Lee and hopefully in Hope Springs.

    This story was soo angsty, it tore at my heart so much.

    Beckett was utter perfection, he can do no wrong!

    This was my first small town read and now I'm hooked!
