    This is the 2nd book in this series and is Luke and Rose’s journey. Luke has a massive crush on Rose when they were in high school, and when he plucked up the courage to ask her for a date, she laughed and slapped him in the face, so he has successfully managed to avoid this heartbreaker ever since. When Luke and Rose both attend a mutual friend’s wedding, she arrives on the arm of another man, and something snaps with Luke determined to get his girl. Luke knows he needs to face his past to move on with Rose. This is a well written tale which is humorous, entertaining, and with witty banter, secrets, emotions, and love. I was hooked throughout this addictive page turner, and I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

    They went to high school together. They have some bumps in the road but they are good. It was a good book. The secrets within were a wow moment

    This story was a wonderful blend of characters. Rose and Lucas deserved each other and were able to overcome so much. I loved that her name was rose but he called her petals. There was compassion, love,, understanding and humor. I really laughed when I found out who cadence was. Angela Parker wrote a book for reading and enjoying.
