Stephen C. Kucko is also known as the Woodland Poet.

Living out in the woods and on the lake, Stephen uses nature as his inspiration to write poems for all ages. His first book is a children's picture book, Squeaky the Squirrel (A Book of Children's Poems.) These are poems he wrote for his grandchildren many years ago. His grandchildren are all grown now, but the poems of the past will always be remembered and also shared with their children someday through this published work.

Stephen's second book is Reflections; religious and spiritual poems that stem from his faith.

And his third book of poems, Recollection is an assortment of poems from every day life, including the good old days.

When I received this book as a gift from his daughter, I did not expect to stay up all night long and pray. I read the poems and they reminded me of the sacredness of Holy Week. I thought of all the ways that God has given of himself to us including his son Jesus Christ our Lord. He wrote about seasons and helping others and reminded me that even animals helped Mary in her time of need.
I am very happy that I read his book of poetry. He is a great writer who made me cry, laugh and reflect on my journey in life.

Loved the poems, I would read this to any child just as easy as I'd pick up a Dr. Suess book. And when the author was pictured at the end of the book, he was exactly as I pictured him in front of a fire with a notebook and pen in his hand. Nicely done!
