This is similar to Meghan Quinn’s Royally Not Ready which I absolutely loved so I knew I wanted to read Regally Binding. I am so glad I picked this up. It was a lot fun. Filled with humor, banter, and spice, Regally Binding is for the readers who loved Princess Diaries growing up and crave a more adult version.
The romance is bodyguard & a bit of enemies to lovers which I think was done really well. Liss & Bear had tons of chemistry and banter. The romance builds at a good pace and feels believable. The slow burn really added to the steamier scenes. The steamy scenes were also 🥵, especially the dirty talk and sexy times (especially against a 🌲!!).
I thought the plot was interesting. I liked the mystery of who was threatening Liss as well as the conflict of her decision to be a royal or not.
A fun time that a lot of readers will gobble up! For fans of Princess Diaries, Royally Not Ready and bodyguard/princess romances.

The shopping list of tropes should tell you already that this book was well worth the read. I’ve decided to not do the star rating because it is so subjective. To me, there are hardly any 5 star reads so numbers don’t matter as they say. I liked this book! I think it is worth a read!
The book gave me the Princess Diaries feelings that I have been craving for years. It is more adult than the movie, so no worries there!
Liss quickly discovers that her grandfather may be the king and she is now in need of a body guard. We then meet our grumpy MMC, Bear. I really liked Bear but the instant lust for him was a little much. While the book is labeled enemies to lovers, I would say it is more two strong personalities thrown together within the forced proximity trope. The two are with each other so much that the relationship was bound to develop rather quickly.
I think that a dual pov would have really helped the story along so that we could get inside Bear’s mind and see what he was thinking/feeling.
The found family aspect was my favorite part about this book. As someone who has lost a parent, the journey that Liss went through throughout this book really hit home for me. She really wants to have that family, and that sense of belonging, and this story developed that trope nicely.
This book was fun and worth the read. I would definitely recommend this book to those who enjoy light romance/found family books and to those that just enjoy a story that leaves you wanting more.
Thank you to The Publisher Victory Editing NetGalley Co-Op, Rebecca Chase, and NetGalley for a chance to read and review this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 26, 2024This book put me on a whirlwind, and I feel the best way I can describe it is that it started off rocky but ended far, far better than I expected it would.
This is not my normal read, but I did truly enjoy the book. I really wasn’t sure about this book at the beginning, as the characters went really fast in the romance and the story was admittedly very predictable. But when I kept reading, I did start falling in love with most of the characters and their own side stories.
If you want a steamy romance that follows the typical progression of an easy romance, this is all for you. It’s not really enemies to lovers, as there’s banter but still a clear line to who the main character is falling for even in the beginning. But that being said, it is a well written, fun, and very enjoyable read - even for this reviewer who doesn’t tend to love real world romances. I would definitely recommend this book, and would say to seriously give the characters a chance to show way more depth near the end of the book than they do at the beginning. The wait was really worth it, and please - don’t skip the epilogue, oh my god that was cute.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 25, 2024So good! I'm LOVE a bodyguard romance and this one is *chef's kiss* I absolutely loved the dynamic between the main characters. Grumpy and gruff bodyguard tasked with protecting his feisty female client? And it's enemies to lovers? And it's set in England? Sign me up! The tension and banter were perfection!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 19, 2024Fantastic bodyguard romance.
I'm not always a fan of insta love, but this suited the characters and story.
I love how mysterious they all are in the beginning and the more you get to know all of them the more I liked them.
Liss really didn't have an easy time growing up or since the big news. But love how determined she was. She dealt with it as best as she could and trying to not loose herself.

For those who love Princess Diaries and bodyguard tropes, this book is definitely one you'll want to read. There was a lot of suspense and mystery to keep you engaged with the story. What was missing for me was a slower build up, I felt the insta lust was a bit much for me and wished Bear was more professional in the beginning. That said, I know that is more of a personal preference so don't let it keep you from reading this book. These characters did have some amazing chemistry and if you love spice this book will have enough of it! The writing was good as I felt the story was easy to read and the words flowed well.

2.0 out of 5 stars Regally Binding
I am not a huge fan of this book, but if you are looking for a spicy chliché story you may like it. I missed some depth at some points and some parts were a bit boring, but the idea of the story was nice and therefore it gets 2 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars Such a great princess x bodyguard story!
I had so much fun reading this book!
I loved the banter between Liss (princess) and Bear (bodyguard), Liss is so fun and sassy, Bear is such a grumpy little (but actually huge) secret cinnamon roll, there’s an intriguing mystery #nospoilers, a great found family… so much to enjoy and love about this book!
I also can’t wait for Book 2 and read Strike’s story 💜

5.0 out of 5 stars A royally good read
Regally Binding by Rebecca Chase
I was lucky enough to read an early version of this book, and I loved it.
The plot follows Liss as she is pulled from her comfortable life and told she’s a princess. As the world becomes a dangerous place for her, Liss is assigned bodyguards.
There’s an instant boiling pot of lust between Liss and bodyguard, Bear. I loved Bear. As the sexual tension builds between them, can they keep their relationship strictly business?
Regally Binding has a few different strands to the story, and it all pulls together to make for a fun, page-turning, steamy read.
Think Princess Diaries, bodyguards, and spice!
