Tempted: an age gap small-town romance Kindle Edition
There are many things in life I’d rather forget. But nothing tops walking in on my teenage crush and temporary neighbor in the great outdoors while he showered.
It wasn’t as if I did it on purpose, but he thought I had.
Asher Blake was the head of my favorite band and the most gorgeous man I’d ever laid eyes on. But to him, I was nothing more than his friend’s daughter.
Or maybe I was wrong.
I wasn’t exactly that awkward doting girl anymore. I was older and no longer off limits. We were two consenting adults. And no one would know what we did behind those cabin walls.
Once our time was up, we could go our separate ways.
Our lives were complicated enough and we didn’t need to add our age difference into the mix.
We threw caution to the wind and gave into temptation, never realizing that it was more than just our secrets that we needed to protect – it was our hearts too.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 7, 2022What a story! Tempted was just as spicy as it sounds. What’s better then a age-gap, father’s best friend, who happens to be a Rock Star? Nothing! This book has everything I want in romance.
When Addison finds herself in desperate need for a couple of weeks away her family’s secluded cabin is just what she’s needs. Little did she know her new neighbor was non other than Asher Blake.
Asher finally has a break from touring and it couldn’t have come at a better time. He’s facing a crossroads in his life and needs time to regroup. His cabin is the perfect place to relax, or so he thought.
I enjoyed the pace of this story everything was so well defined. You got a sense of the characters and their priorities without the story being drawn out. I absolutely loved Addison and Asher they were complexed without being immature. They matched so well, you could almost feel their chemistry with every turn of the page.
If you’re looking for a fun read with plenty of steam and light drama. I highly recommend Tempted
- Reviewed in the United States on August 21, 2022"I was sinking deeper and deeper with this woman. She was my quicksand and kryptonite wrapped up in a beautiful package."
So, what do you do when your dad's best friend, who you've had a crush on for as long as you can remember, suddenly reciprocates? Well, duh!!! You take full advantage of your situation!!
Both have headed to their respective "cabin in the woods" for a little solitude and time to figure out what's next in their lives. Addison with her photography career. Asher with his future as the front man of his band, Edge of Black.
Addison and Asher were just explosive together. The pull and attraction evident from the get-go. She's not the little kid he remembers anymore. She's a grown woman and more of a temptation than Asher bargained for! And Asher? Well, as tough and closed off as he'd like to appear, he can't hide from Addison.
But what will happen when Addison's father finds out about the two of them? And what will happen to Asher when his band finds out about his secret?
If you've followed the Welcome to Carson series by this author, you're no stranger to Harlan and Cassiday. This was a great novella that ties in the Carson crew!!
Definitely grab this one!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 23, 2023This is a complete story with NO loose strings. NOT a cliffhanger. Action/adventure? None. Romance? Yes. Sex? Yep.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 1, 2023I love that Addison does not want to rely on her parents celebrity but make her own way. And Asher being afraid of how his disorder will affect his future and his band is understandable. Seeing how these two help each other and find love is amazing.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 6, 2024I think it’s cute that Addison has had a crush on rockstar Asher since she was a teen. They seem like a couple that will balance each other. I enjoyed reading this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 18, 2022Hot dang, this age gap, dad’s best friend read is fabulous! Renee doesn’t waste any time getting to the good stuff…shower scene - hello!! I read this book in one sitting - you will not want to put it down. Asher and Addison have great banter and chemistry that files off the page. I didn’t see this as a forbidden romance but certainly didn’t expect Addisons’s parents reaction. :) Highly recommend this quick read that will have you flipping through your e reader pages at lightening speed! I received a complimentary copy and I am leaving my honest review.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 18, 202238% in and I was bored. I like forbidden love age gap books but this could not hold my attention.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 15, 2023I really enjoyed the story. There was a smooth development between FMC and MMC. No misunderstandings. The spice was done right. If you're looking for a short read I recommend Tempted.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read
I loved every minute of reading this story. I could hardly put it down until the end. Give it a try!

2.0 out of 5 stars 2.5
Structurally, it was very tell not show. Which isn't particularly bad if you do it well. More dialog and allow the scenes to play out as they happen rather than recounting them in large paragraphs. Felt very disjointed at times. Though it was short, it was sweet. I liked the premise, I simply think it could have been executed better.

1.0 out of 5 stars Short and way too simple
I like the idea of the storyline, but I feel like it was way too rushed.
Things were moving too quickly and it made it hard to immerse myself into the narrative.
I feel like I read a draft or a pitch for a book, not an actual book.
It felt too unrealistic (even for fiction!) and far too simple, not much depth to any of the characters.
Honestly, 1 star was being generous.

3.0 out of 5 stars shallow read
It was a great story. Just not developed at all. It was like reading a summary but not the actual plot. Everything was dealt with on a very surface level. It had great potential but didn’t hit the mark.
