    This is the second book in Kim Cresswell’s Whitney Steel series and wow, what a ride!

    I feel that you need to have read book 1 in this series – Reflection, to be able to understand this book fully as it continues on from that. Even though the story should still make sense otherwise, but have the familiarity of these characters, both good and bad helped me to understand the motives behind their actions.

    This is a fast paced read once again and is so well written that I had trouble putting it down to get some sleep. I needed to know what was going to happen next!

    The characters, Blake and Whitney are truly likeable and their relationship is strong and has a realistic feel to it. Their reactions to the situation that they find themselves in is truly believable.

    Whitney is one strong gal. She’ll do almost anything to ensure her survival and I loved cheering her on. Blake who is a FBI agent will do anything to protect and rescue the woman he loves. His struggle with his emotions felt very real and I found myself sympathising with him as well as cheering him on to be the hero that he is.

    My only dislike in this book would be the repetitiveness of how much he’s worried about Whitney and I felt it lost its punch after a while.

    Now for the villains. Pablo in particular, he was vile and ruthless and evil and murderous and insane and conniving and I just loved to hate him! Nathan Shaw, was his scheming, despicable self once again.

    Overall, a fantastic follow-up to Reflection and a wild fast paced, frantic ride. If you love a book with a lot of action with hero’s to cheer on, villains to loathe then you need to check out this series. You won’t be disappointed.

    As a fan of Kim Cresswell's, and delighted with the first Whiney Steel novel, REFLECTION, I was excited to revisit her well-developed characters, Whitney and Blake. I love her easy storytelling style and character building skills.

    RETRIBUTION is packed full of action, adventure and intrigue where many of the characters we grew to love/hate returned. I was disappointed in the back history revealed as dialogue flashbacks rather than narration to bring the back history up-to-date for new readers.

    The multiple typos interrupted the reading flow; yet the suspense kept my attention.

    RETRIBUTION has a complete ending and I am anxious for the release of RESURRECT, Book 3 in the Whitney Steel Novel series.

    Whitney has been kidnapped and Blake is on the trail, but Blake has his own problems, there is a bounty on his head. If Blake is to get Whitney back he must travel to Columbia's biggest drug trafficker, Pablo Sanchez.

    This is another wonderful, kick butt book by Kim Creswell. I love Whitney Steel, she is one tough lady, I want to be her when I grow up. The action and suspense in this sequel to Reflections is so intense you can't stop reading/listening you just have to find out what happens. Rebecca Hansen does a great job making this story her own. I love this series and this book but it is a adult book for sure.

    This is the second in the series and I have to admit to not having read the first although, through clever use of flashbacks, this did not hinder me in any way. That said, I will probably go back and read it as its storyline as hinted in this book quite piqued my interest.
    This book starts off where book one finished. Blake is distracted by a blackmail plot whilst his fiancee Whitney is kidnapped. The book then follows Blake's attempt to solve the blackmail issue whilst also trying to figure out what happened to Whitney all whilst trying to dodge the bounty on his head. Meanwhile Whitney is struggling against her kidnappers and doing everything she can to assist Blake to find her.
    The storyline was good. All the elements of a good action thriller were involved. I personally think Whitney is more suited to a job with the FBI and is rather wasted in journalism - some of her moves were great. Wouldn't like to get on the wrong side of her, that's for sure!
    I gave this 4 1/2 stars as I found that it didn't quite hold my attention as much as I think it could. Maybe that's due to not having read book one. Not sure.
    One thing I am sure of is that if there's a book three, I will definitely be reading it.

    As I expected from this author...

    Book 2 of the Whitney Steel series took off with a bang and delivered an other fast packed action book I didn't want to put down!

    This is the third book I've read by this author and they just keep getting better.

    The book draws you in, wraps you up in the story and won't let you go!

    I wouldn't expect any thing less of her writing now!

    Keep up the great work... Love your writing!
