While seriously addicted to coffee, and highly challenged with all things computer-related and technical, she relishes baking, cooking, and trying new recipes for people to sample. She loves to throw dinner parties, and also enjoys traveling, here and abroad, but finds coming home is always the best part of any trip.

Melanie loves stories, especially paired with a good wine, and enjoys skydiving (free falling over a fleck of dust) extreme snowboarding (falling downstairs), and piloting her own helicopter (tripping over her own feet.) "Use that big tool and tune me up!" I giggled out loud when I read this line. Maxx and Charly were exactly what I needed. One broken heart 💔 and one lost soul. Both looking to find that thing that makes them feel complete neither willing to admit it just might be the other. Maxx is your typical Alpha striving to be on top but also always pleasantly respectful to everyone. Charly is a spitfire who despite her fears will do whatever she seeds to do to Keep herself safe. Charly knows instantly she has feelings for Maxx she seen everything she needs to see from the curmudgeon she thought he would be, to the growly and grouchy sexy man he is. To the most handsome smiling polite and gracious neighborhood mechanic you could ever want to meet. The imagery alone kept me engaged through the story as Charly rearranged Maxx's life and his business. I don't think there could have been a better time for book lovers to get to meet Maxx and Charly. I know they've stole a place in my heart probably in one of my cars. 😉My second favorite obsession next to books. 😁 Oh if they aren't enough (they will be) you will adore Mary and Rufus.) 💛💚💙💜🧡

    This is a true story of how the beautiful, sunshine girl wins over the grumpy, broken man. I loved how feisty Charley is. Even though she’s had hard times, she stays positive and upbeat. She puts Maxx on his toes from the first time she meets him.

    Thee are some misunderstandings and adjustments, but Charley finally wins him over by making his garage amazing and bringing a whole new world to his door.

    He thought Charly was a young man. But was he in for a surprise.
    Charly was running from an abusive and slime landlord. Her roommate never paid their rent with the money she gave her. She stole everything Charly had of value and her money. Charly offered the job to be Maxx's assistant.
    Charly snuck out of the apartment and hoped on a bus to Maxx. She ended up getting there a day ahead. She stayed at a motel. She decided to get some food at the nearest bar and grill. She spies this hunk sitting across the bar. He's checking her out, too. She's about ready to leave when Wes Bonner hits on her, very crude. He won't leave, so Maxx goes to save her, but Charly turns the tides and twists his fingers. He cowers away. Maxx is impressed.
    He sits and talks to her for away, and he offers to walk her back to the hotel. Just in case Wes comes back. The heat between them is so hot. They ended up having wild, hot sex. He leaves before she wakes up.
    He goes to the General Store, where he is supposed to pick up Charly, a young man. To his surprise, Charly is Red, the woman he had sex with last night.
    These two people have a hate love relationship. He is a grumpy but sexy man. She is hot and mouthy. But she has a lot of good ideas for making his business better. He has a repair and restoration company.
    She goes up and beyond, straightening his messy garage and house. He doesn't want to admit how much she gets under his skin. But the sexual tension is there. They enjoy their time together and share some of their secrets.
    Great story of two people who have been hurt before and have had great loss of loved ones.
    How his grumpy demeanor and her strong and thick headed ways just work.

    Holly Molly and what a story. We get a great couple who at the beginning think so differently about each other, first of all they ,,meet,, in the web, Maxx is trying to find someone, who is going to help with his household and shop and Charly is a desperate woman, who lost her job, was robbed and has no way to pay for her apartment, so she needs a job as soon as posssible. Maxx thinks Charly is a man, Charly thinks Maxx is a old guy.
    First time they meet face to face sparks starts to fly and as result they spend a whole night together.

    So what to expect ones they meet next morning and realise who they are and now have to spend 24/7 together.

    Well Maxx is not ready, he is angry with himself (because of his past when he learned the hardest betrayal, it's hard for him to trust). not ready to trust a woman again.
    Charly is pissed, because he refuse work with her because she is woman, but Maxx has no idea what a spiritfire she is and she won't give up easily.

    Maxx decides to give her a chance, fights as much as possible to stay away, but the chemistry and passion are stronger, so the more he tries to resist, the more he is pulled to Charly, only his soul had no time to heal and refuses to trust and love again.
    Charly makes everything works better, easy-peasy, and the shop is soon in old trains.

    Maxx and Charly made me smile and laugh so many times, they banters were amazing! Charly brought so much life and joy in to his life and it was wonderfull to see how people can make other happy and heal and find the lost passion for life.

    Charly is a real strong female character, and I am looking forward to see her in next stories of this series.
    I highly recommend this book, you won't be dissapointed!

    Melanie is definitely one of my fav authors. Melanie’s books are so wonderful I don’t even bother to read the blurb, I just grab everything. So far, I’ve read every book and I have loved every single one. This story revolves around Max and Charly and these characters are a delight to read. Maxx needs someone to just organize his home and business, and Charly, is sweet and sassy and organizing is something she excels at. She’s smart and witty and let’s not forget, she bakes the best pies to boot. Charly has recently run from the big city And just wants a second chance at a new life. Maxx has gone through a lot in the last few years and one of his worst experiences was having a woman he deeply cared about try to destroy everything he cared about. Charlie and Max are one of my fav couples and this was a delight to read. I voluntarily received an arc copy of this book from the author and purchased a copy as well

    New to this author. What a great sweet, hot read. He was done with love and she was down on luck, but fighting hard. Together they were combustible. She slowly made him change his thinking about love. An amazing read.
