Ride Me: A Rockstar Romance (Jaded Ivory Book 2) Kindle Edition
I’m a man living with regret. It eats at me night and day.
Eights years ago, I ran from Reagan instead of facing the music. I was sure he would shut me out if he knew the truth, so I beat him to the punch. I left and never looked back.
Or at least I tried not to.
To this day, Reagan is always in the back of my mind, trying to make me remember the fun we had. I always wonder what he would have thought if I’d told him everything.
The regret echoes in my head.
Now he’s standing in front of me, looking for answers I doubt he’s ready for.
Can Reagan accept me for who I really am?
Warning: Contains sexual situations between two men.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 30, 2018I loved the first book, and knew I would like this book, but wasn't sure it could top Rock Me. It did. I love Sawyer and Reagan's story. It was such a good read.
Instead of telling his best friend he was in love with him, or even that he was gay, Sawyer left and started fresh, finding himself in the process. He was so sure what Reagan's response would be, he cut him off.
Reagan spent years wondering what he did wrong for Sawyer to leave like he did. When he finally tracks him down, noticing things about Sawyer he would never have imagined.
Yeah, Sawyer makes a few mistakes, but I love how much Reagan proves he's all in and wants to be there.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 28, 2018Years ago Sawyer left Reagan behind. He was afraid to tell his straight best friend he was in love with him. He'd always regretted the cowardly way he did it, just leaving, not giving either of them a chance for closure.
Years later as the drummer for Jaded Ivory, Sawyer is still in the closet. Not out to all his band members or his fans. When Reagan makes an attempt to renew the friendship, Sawyer decides he wants Reagan in his life, having the contact with him worth the pain of knowing he is still in love with a straight man.
When Reagan catches him with another man the two of them come together explosively. Sawyer finally happy to have the man he has wanted for so long. Reagan confused and unsure but knowing he can't let Sawyer go again.
Coming out to friends and family is one thing. But can their new found love survive the world knowing?
I wouldn't call this book insta love because Sawyer had loved Reagan for a long time. However I felt the Reagan’s acceptance that he might be bisexual happened rather quickly. I enjoyed them discovering each other. Supporting characters added an appeal to the book.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2018Holy hotness, I do love a romance with a muso in it, double that when it's the drummer... this is a second chance romance, Sawyer is the drummer for one of the hottest bands of the world, and Reagan is the only man he's ever loved. Sawyer is gay, and he loved his best friend, but the day they were leaving for college together Sawyer up and disappeared. Fast forward 8 years and Reagan turns up at a meet and greet to get some answers. He got that and a whole lot more. The reason why Sawyer left is that he couldn't be around his best friend anymore knowing he was straight. This story is sort of a GFY, but it is a slow burn and you get to see how Reagan dealt with his feelings for Sawyer. This book is part of a series, but I didn't read the first book due to it being M/F which I don't read, the characters from the first book are in this book, but I didn't need to read it to follow the story, in fact, if I wasn't already aware of the first book I would have thought Ride Me was a stand-alone. This is the first book from this author, and if she continues to write M/M I will continue to read her books.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 11, 2019This is one of the cotton candy, sweet love stories about childhood friends going their separate ways because one thinks the other is straight. Cute book.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 15, 2019This was just OK. I made the mistake of reading it after I read the AMAZING "Dedicated" by Neve Wilder. Dedicated was such a great m/m rocker book that I was in the mood for another. Ride Me was not that. The author's writing style was pretty basic. She repeated pieces of information a lot. The angst felt overwrought. The media/press conference (really? lol!)/paparazzi interest in Sawyer's big announcement was ridiculously unrealistic for the drummer (sorry, bottom of the totem pole in rock bands - quick, name 5 drummers other than Ringo Starr and Keith Moon. Am I right?) of a local band that's only opened some shows for a bigger band. It's not Paul McCartney coming out, here, folks.
The WORST was the 1000000% unrealistic accidental meeting of Sawyer and Reagan in Reagan's apartment hallway while Sawyer is sucking face with a random dude he met at a gay club an hour away from SF (I guess that's where this all takes place?) What are the odds that the random would be Reagan's freaking neighbor in the same HUGE city, the same neighborhood, the same apartment complex, the same floor and the same hallway? Zero. The odds are zero. Lazy writing. (Also, if they all live in the city, it's doubtful they would drive as much as they did in the book. BART, anyone?)
- Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2018I really enjoyed getting into Sawyers story and Rebecca Brooke gave us a great MM story that is more than just a steamy story (although, yes it had some). It was truly a story of finding yourself and of yes -- love is love. When one person has never even thought of someone of the same sex but finds them inexplicably drawn to another of the same sex, how do you reconcile those feelings with what you think you know about yourself. It is a story about letting others in and letting them see the authentic real you and this story does not disappoint.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 28, 2018Sawyer & Reagan went through a lot to be together, although Sawyer kept trying to be a martyr by pushing Reagan away. Loved this story, awesome read
- Reviewed in the United States on January 10, 2019I really loved Sawyer and Reagan together and the way they went from old friends to friends again to lovers.
Sawyer left Reagan without an explanation and he's obviously hurt and confused about why.
The fact that Sawyer is gay and in love with his best friend made him run, but they get a second chance of friendship.
Then old feelings comes back for Sawyer while Reagan starts to notice things about Sawyer even though Reagan always have considered himself straight.
I had some issues with Sawyers friends pressuring him to come out in different situations and especially Maris over the top flirting with Reagan to make Sawyer slip was nagging me.
I loved all interactions between Reagan and Sawyer though.

4.0 out of 5 stars Second chances.
I am saying second chances, however it can also be gay for you.
Sawyer loved Regean since he was sixteen, but was afraid to tell him. Seven years later Regean finds him and the connection continued.
Good story.
