Disheartened about not being able to find “Mr. Right” on the London dating scene, best friends Jodie Lynch and Louise Hewson create a blog to not only document their disastrous dates with the numerous “Mr. Wrongs” and “Mr. Okay-for-nows” but also to help those going through the same experiences and to see where they’re going wrong. How will they deal with everything the dating scene has to throw at them — planned or otherwise?

"M B Feeney managed to have me laughing to the point of tears, while constantly rooting for both girls to find love." - M. C. Rayne "M B Feeney weaves an enticing tale of friendship and finding love. With an even pace and quick wit I would recommend this as the perfect read for anyone feeling dejected by the dating scene themselves and also those of us that are long out of that hassle but still shudder at the memories." - Sarah (Amazon reviewer)"This tale is funny, witty and written very well. I loved the author's writing style and she kept me hooked until I read 'The End'." - J. A. Heron

Full content visible, double tap to read brief content.

M. B. Feeney is an army brat who finally settled down in Birmingham, UK with her other half, two kids and a dog. She often procrastinates by listening to music of all genres and trying to get ‘just one more paragraph’ written on whichever WIP is open; she is also a serious doodler and chocoholic. Writing has been her one true love ever since she could spell, and publishing is the final culmination of her hard work and ambition.

Her publishing career began with two novellas, and she currently has multiple projects under way, in the hopes that her portfolio of what have been described as “everyday love stories for everyday people” will continue to grow. Always having something on the go can often lead to block which eventually gets dissolved by good music and an even better book.

Her main reason for writing is to not only give her readers enjoyment, but also to create a story and characters that stay with readers long after the book is finished, and possibly make someone stop and think “what if … ”

It's not easy to write comic fiction, or to do it well. It requires a certain lightness of touch, a willingness to embrace vulgarity without becoming a slave to it, and a degree of control that goes way beyond that required for, say, an everyday romance or generic fantasy novel.

In Right Click, Love, Feeney has amply demonstrated her possession of these qualities. The book is funny without being stupid, believable without being humdrum, and there is not a dull moment in it. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Unlike so many independently published novels, the work has been properly edited and finished, and is altogether a delightful read.

This was a fantastic little read. I loved the friendship between the two female leads in this book; Louise and Jodie. I loved the little blog that they ran in the book and I also loved how the ladies were always there for each other to lean on and the book took us on a journey through Lou and Jodie's dating life. I hope that there is a sequeal to this novella and I would love to find out what has become of the ladies now that they have been with their mates for some time. Fantastic work by a fantastic writer and friend

Louise and Jodie grabbed my attention after the first few pages of this book. The concept of Right Click Love is perfect and had me laughing at their blog posts….in the beginning. As the book progressed it became very predictable. I would have love for more of the comedy, bad dates, and one night stand stories, but it didn’t take long for either of these ladies to find their HEA.

I give this book 3 stars because it wasn’t what I expected from the synopsis. I do not discourage anyone from reading this book! I enjoyed it. There is just a part of me that wished the HEA wouldn’t have happened so quickly. From the epilogue there looks like we might get a part #2 from Jodie and James….. I’m looking forward to finding out what else happens with them!

This book is written in UK English, I had to google a few phrases to understand exactly what they meant.

Right Click, Love is the greatest, sweetest, and funniest story. I really liked the plot being centered on two women in the dating scene and writing blog entries on their experiences. The whole story came together wonderfully and I was sad when I finished. I wanted to experience more with Jodie and Louise. Anyway, I highly recommend this book to everyone.

An excellent quick read about the ins and outs of dating in the modern era. From blind dates to speed dating to unplanned bar meetings, Feeney will have you laughing and cringing at the antics of two best friends as they search out their "Mr. Right." This tale is set in London, and the dialogue is witty and fast-paced. Bravo, Ms. Feeney!

5.0 out of 5 stars One of my favourite love stories ever :)
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on July 20, 2014
Where to start with this delightful little story? It’s jam packed with wonderful little quirks and so many positives that I may just run out of superlatives! Funny, romantic, realistic, witty, charming – the list is just endless. I’ll keep it short and sweet, rather like the book itself, because this is definitely one you want to be one-clicking to read during your lunch hour at work tomorrow to get you over hump day!

I guess the thing that really shines most about this book, and is the absolute best feature for me is the fact that this book is totally real. It doesn’t sugarcoat love and dating, instead it shows a very realistic and believable look at what the dating scene is like for so many women out there. However, instead of being maudlin and bitter about it, Feeney has a wonderful twist and jovialism to her writing, meaning that it’s fresh and thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. This also helps with the realism as it is just so easy to imagine that Lou and Jodie were two friends you might know, or perhaps yourself and your friend, taking the modern world of blogging (and dating!) by the horns and doing something proactive.

That brings me nicely to my next point – the characters are completely believable. So often in romance tales you find the characters are too twee or too bitter, but Feeney really balances this perfectly. Yes there are moments when you think Lou might swear off men, and when Jodie and James are rather ooey-gooey, but it’s all balanced. I think she manages this with great skill, usually through humour or sarcasm, and it just gives the book a really light hearted and fresh outlook on love and dating in general. It’s very rare I laugh in a romance, but the balance of humour was spot on that it had me chuckling throughout at their antics. Again, it’s just something I could imagine myself or my friends doing, and so it was that much easier to engage with the characters and the plot in general.

Something else that’s fantastic about this book is the fresh take it has on romance stories in general. It’s quite short, but that works in it’s favour as it doesn’t pack any punches. The plot is constantly moving, constantly developing, and you get swept up in their ‘adventures’ in dating. This is, in my experience, few romance books actually manage in this way, and so kudos to Feeney on hooking me and keeping me hooked. But I digress, I was talking about the fresh take, and it has that in abundance! Blogs, speed dating, getting stood up – they’re all staples of the modern dating scene and modern life in general. Feeney truly does keep the plot, characters, scenery really modern and up to date, meaning that you can slip very easily into the story as, like I’ve said countless times, it’s just like something you could imagine chatting with the girls about on a night out.

So to wrap it up (partly because I’ve run out of superlatives and partly because I have her next book waiting for me on my kindle) this book was a pleasure to read from the proverbial cover to cover. I loved the characters, the plot, the humour, just everything. I’m hard to please, but this was just perfect for a short, sharp burst of laughter and happiness after a tough day. It’s firmly stored in my ‘Favourites’ folder on the kindle, and I can see it being one I read over and over again. I honestly cannot recommend it highly enough, particularly if you are a fan of a witty and realistic type of romance with a twist.

Oh to be young again - NOT. This book made me appreciate my middle aged hubby and ever increasing wrinkles. the authors make you realise the pitfalls of dating in a very humorous and unique way. As for the two main characters whilst you might not envy their 'singledom' you have to envy their close bond. This is a story of love, laughter but mainly friendship. It was nice to spend sometime in a twenty-something's head if only to appreciate my forty-something life. Would recommend this book to anyone needing a giggle.

Right Click, Love is a wonderful read.

In this witty novella we meet two twenty-something women, (Jodie and Louise) blogging about their disastrous encounters on the London dating scene.

M B Feeney weaves an enticing tale of friendship and finding love. With an even pace and quick wit I would recommend this as the perfect read for anyone feeling dejected by the dating scene themselves and also those of us that are long out of that hassle but still shudder at the memories.

I am most definitely looking forward to reading more from this author.

Right Click, Love was the perfect novella to read on a cold day. I loved the story of Jodie and Louise, and their eternal search for love. The way the story was written partially as a blog was inventive and fresh, and kept my attention from start to finish. This is a well-written, fun and extremely enjoyable read, and I'm looking forward to reading more from this author!
