This is one of my TOP Rockstar Reads EVER!!!!!! Y’all aren’t ready. This book… THIS. BOOK. This story is just PHENOMENAL! This author is going to break your heart and put you back together. These characters and this world… This is a place I would love to visit. I am beyond obsessed with everything Rhys Granger and The Stuffed Muffins and want Gia to be one of my best friends. And let me tell you... my Kindle almost melted quite a few times. The chemistry is OFF THE CHARTS HOT with these two. And I'm not talking about your average off the charts hot... I'm talking about the sun is no competition for these two. I. LOVE. THEM. Get ready to be immersed in the gritty and beautiful world of Rock n’ Roll… This is ABSOLUTELY Rockstar Romance at its finest.

    I love this author’s work. I couldn’t wait to read about Axel’s sister Gia. (Axel from Ignite- one of the best MC romances ever). Anyway I usually avoid rockstar romances because they usually contain a lot of sex with OW which I hate. I will say that in this book there are no sex scenes with OW (thank God!) And there is no cheating. Some of Rhys’s escapades do come back to haunt him though. He definitely was not a saint.

    This review will contain spoilers……

    The first 60% of this book takes place in the past. I loved Gia in this part of the book. It took such guts to go after what she wanted. She loved Rhys since she was seven years old and when she was 18, and he was a big rock star-she went after him. I loved their chemistry. It was insane especially when he didn’t recognize her at first. Their interactions were hot and intense. As was their first time they have sex. She saved herself for him. He still didn’t know who she was and it was still (I hate to keep saying intense) but it was intense and emotional. He’s stunned when he realizes who she is, but ultimately he can’t stop thinking about her. They have the kind of magnetic connection that I live for in a romance. They fall in love—although she’s loved him her whole life.

    They are ripped apart by some mixed up circumstances. And honestly, I understand why she left. But I also understand why he let her go.

    The last 40% is present time and they are in each other’s lives again. I have to say that Gia frustrated me a bit in the second half. There’s a bit of drama. But the ending was spectacular as usual and I can’t wait for the next book!!

    I love how Rhys and Gia's story turned out. It is angst filled and so hot I swear my phone almost melted. This is one of those books that has you yelling at the characters. They're flawed and make mistakes, but that's what makes this amazing. Rhys isn't the perfect book boyfriend that makes you swoon with all the right words. He's a rough bad boy who smokes and drinks too much, but has that charm you just can't resist. Gia is so ballsy and fearless. I love it. She isn't afraid to take chances and goes after what she wants without a second thought.

    Spoiler warning:

    I had a hard time with how controlling Rhys was at first. I was so glad to see how he matured in part two and how he made a conscious effort to not be controlling. Initially I wished Gia would have had a little more growth between part one and two, but then I realized she did. She grew and matured during those 8 years. Seeing Rhys again and being with him she got swept up in him and reacted from an emotional stand point. They are so beautifully flawed and angst filled. I absolutely loved how Rhys chased after Gia. That was one mistake they both made before. Neither chased or fought for the other. I love that Rhys took control (not in the dickish way he used to) and fought for her.

    Gia Fontaine confused me a little. She's in love with Rhys Granger since she was 7 years old but kept walking out on him.
    Rhys "Rock God" Granger is well to put it bluntly, an a-hole. That's what you get when you are on top of the world and have fans, groupies and just people whom fall at his feet.
    You've got your drugs, foul language, sex, sex, sex and more sex. You've also got someone hard to love and trust. I mean he's got girls falling at his feet, throwing themselves at him at every turn. Got some claiming pregnancy countless times. That would be a hard life for any girl whom loves the Rock God to take. And what the heck do you believe?
    This was like an eighteen year journey to find what your heart and muse desires. I'm not going to lie, I kind of didn't like either of these main characters very well. The story was interesting enough for me to keep reading and finding out how it all played out. Well I'm glad I stuck with it. And this hot AF cover helped with the visual as of why Rhys was the Rock God and he was freaking hot!
    This to my knowledge was my first book by this author and I'll probably be reading more. I will probably read the MC series. Since I got a glimpse of Axel and Antoinette I need more I think.
    So thanks for keeping this reader entertained. The characters grew on me by the end of the book.

    I loved these two. Gia Fontaine knows what she wants and will do anything to get her man, Rock God, Rhys Granger. From the age of 7, watching him and her brother make music, Rhys has been hers.
    No story is without heartache and I felt those emotions right into my core. Their chemistry when they get together is explosive and what started out as a night she won't forget, turns into years of longing and heartache. But Rock God has never forgotten his muse, the one his heart bleeds for.

    Got to admit with this one I actually really didn't like either of the characters we are following at first. The author did a fantastic job though of building them as characters throughout the book so that they became more sympathetic and relatable.

    This book is hot though and it is filled with drama, angst and groupies. Just what you would expect from an excellent rock star romance. The tension between the characters and even the band mates in the book is great. I loved the other band characters too and am really looking forwards to them having their own books in this brand new series.

    I really enjoyed this book in the end and think that the plot and characters developed excellently to draw you in as a reader. I'm really glad I persevered when I initially didn't like the characters book I love this book now and I really recommend it.

    I haven't read this author before but will definitely be checking out her other works. This is a fabulous gritty rock star romance. Gia is the best kind of heroine...she is strong, knows her own mind yet still is realistic. Rhys has accepted the Rock God personna but underneath it hides a hurt young boy. This is filled with tons of emotions and is pure fire at times. Excellent read.
