Run For Your Honey: An Enemies To Lovers Romantic Comedy (Blum's Bees Book 3) Kindle Edition
Twelve years ago, my first and only love left town and never came back.
How dare he show up now, looking like that.
And he’s running against me for mayor.
It’s unfair, him standing there, too tall and handsome for his own good. It’s audacious that his clothes accentuate every lean, strong curve of his body. It’s universal BS that his smile makes my heart flipflop, and it’s patently un-freaking-believable that my body would betray me when he turns that gorgeous smile on me.
I’ll do whatever it takes to win, and he knows it.
But when he kisses me, all bets are off.
If I win, he leaves.
If he wins, I lose.
And either way, he breaks my heart.

About the author

I was the kid who stayed inside to read.
As a four-eyed nerd with a bad perm, I was no one’s dodgeball pick, but I had a lot of friends. Frodo and Bilbo, for instance. Kristy, Stacey, Claudia and the gang (iykyk). Once, in the third grade, I wrote a teen murder mystery inspired by Christopher Pike. On solving my mystery in twelve pages, I decided I was a terrible writer and should never, ever do that again.
Fortunately, I didn’t take my own advice.
I write romance for that feeling you get at the end, like you’re standing on top of a mountain with a backpack full of hundred dollar bills. I write romcoms because is there anything better than banter and grand gestures? I write because I love to create and I love words. I love books, and I love stretching my imagination. I love love, and if you do too, bring your coffee and have a seat. I think we’re gonna be friends.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 23, 2022I think I will never not recommend a Staci Hart book. Ever. Her stories are simply literary magic. One of the best Romance authors of our time for sure. I've read everything she's ever written and never once she's left me without a fast heart rate and a swoon that lasts for hours. She did it all over again with this book!
As a reader, Staci always leaves me craving for more. More of the characters, more of the story, more of the addictive fictional worlds she creates with her poetic voice. As an aspiring author, my question is HOW? How does she do it? How does she crafts these complex stories, characters that go deeper every time and manages to pull my heartstrings this hard? Duke and Poppy are definitely one of my favorite couples of Staci (yes, I know I say this with every book, but can you blame me?). I could feel their fear, their regrets, the battle between love and hate, the longing and hidden desires from the moment they saw each other again. The emotions in this book were so vivid and so beautifully developed in every page and I simply couldn't put the book down!
“It was complicated before. What’s unbearable isn’t regret because—I don’t regret a single moment. What I can’t live with is knowing that moment with you was all I’ll ever have. It’s the truth of your hate for me, hate that I earned and will bear as my burden. I can’t sleep without seeing you. I can’t breathe without catching your scent. And I can’t have you."
Staci can write enemies to lovers like no other. If you have followed my reviews for a while, you know this isn't my trope of choice, but I do love a book that can develop the trope with the right elements and I can tell you, this book is a beautiful example of an enemies to lovers done well. A strong, undeniable chemistry between the characters (Good Lord, don't get me started on the steam! These two were absolute fire), an interesting and intense plot that really made me understand the reason behind their rivalry and the most beautiful and heart shaking resolution that made my heart flutter and squeal hard.
I also want to mention that I love how Staci has been tackling important social issues in this series. The Blum sisters have a heart of gold for their family and their town and I love seeing them fighting the right battles and getting in the good kind of trouble. Staci has always managed to talk about things that truly matter in her books and I love how she's using her voice and platform to speak out.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 25, 2025I really enjoyed this book more than I was expecting. Poppy and Duke just work together (even if I wanted to smack Duke a few times to get his head on straight). The whole premise was cute ANF helped end the series. I did feel like the sudden switch of feeling was a little jarring, but the end was fairly explosive. I think my only super issue is there are several side characters that feel like their stories are left open and I hope they eventually get to have their moms y in the spotlight. Overall, a fun read.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 21, 2022This would of been a 4 star read for me if the h actually made the H work for forgiveness. You don't just forgive a man that level of betrayal( that article was bad and he could of canceled it but didn't) because he was in a car accident...that was caused because his brother was driving high....that also injured your sisters and brother in laws. Then to just forgive the driver instantly wasn't believable either. I used to love Staci Hart's but this series has been a bust for me. Hopefully the next one is better
- Reviewed in the United States on August 2, 2022“If you’re always lookin’ for what’s next, searchin’ for more, you ain’t never gonna be happy.”
These Blum sisters and the town of Lindenbach Texas have just been so much fun! And boy did the final sisters book go out with a bang! Poppy and Duke’s second chance romance was full of so much tension and hatred and remorse that I just knew that the love between them had truly never let go of either of their hearts. So with competing against each to be the new mayor, I loved all the forced moments we got with them to interact and work out their differences if you know what I mean, wink wink. But Duke definitely didn’t make it easy to love him! Solely career focused for so long, he forgot what it was like to be part of a small town and all the antics and love that it entailed.
“I’d never stopped loving her, I knew that to my very core, though I’d hidden the fact away like I’d hidden the rest of me. She would be my undoing, unraveling all my hard work, all my dreams. I didn’t know if I cared anymore.”
Poppy was such a spitfire with her spirit and determination to take on a mayoral race against a career politician like Duke and most importantly her ex first love. So while the whole town might not have loved her, she knew what living in a small town truly was like, love curse gossip and all. I laughed over all the things a small town mayoral race could include like calf roping, a greased watermelon race and a pie eating contest! Overall I have loved this small town romance series and am sad to see it end. This book wrapped up a little quickly for me but it was such a fun read that I wish I could have gone and voted for Poppy myself!
“It was his fault that I loved him. It was his fault that I was here. He’d weaseled his way into my heart, and I hated him for it just as much as I loved him.”

- Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2022It's finally time for us to wrap up Staci's Blum's Bees series and Run For Your Honey was SUCH a perfect conclusion. The Blum sisters are easily one of my favorite fictional families and their relationship really shines in Poppy's book.
Small town and second chance romance have been my jam for a long time now, so of course I would love this one. But what I didn't expect was how Staci excelled at making me love Duke when I didn't want to. I tried so, so hard not to because you could feel Poppy's pain from the beginning and I was already braced for him to cause her more grief and heartache, but I couldn't resist for long.
"I loved her. And not just in my memory. I loved her right now. Every single second of every day, I loved her."
Well, sir, you win and I am now a fan for life.
I won't lie, there were a few moments where I was scared for the characters we've come to love in this series and I definitely panicked when things took a turn that I never could have predicted, but I am so. SO. happy with this book and the entire series.

5.0 out of 5 stars lovely
I loved it! Such good banter and angst! I enjoyed spending time again with all the characters, and I hope it’s not the last we’ll read about the town.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just When you think you know……….
Just when you think you know whats going to happen, BAM!!!!
I loved this story. In the beginning I thought it was going to be kind of predictable but I kept reading because I still loved it and then BAM!......................... I get smacked out of left field, wasn’t expecting that!
I love the Blum family and the Lindenbach town. This series is amazing and Poppy’s story was no exception.

1.0 out of 5 stars This isn't the same Poppy from the first two books
It baffles me how some authors never fulfil the promise of a secondary character in a series when they finally get down to writing their story. In the previous books, Poppy is strong, feisty, independent and definitely not a pushover. Here, she is a just a facade and it's such a disappointment. Duke walks back into her life and she puts up a token resistance but then loses her backbone completely. Duke has no redeeming qualities; he is a political animal and very willing to use his hometown as just a step in the greasy pole of politics. His eleventh hour epiphany was tediously predictable. Poor ending to a reasonably decent series.
