K.L. “Kat” Hiers is an embalmer, restorative artist, and queer writer. Licensed in both funeral directing and funeral service, they worked in the death industry for nearly a decade. Their first love was always telling stories, and they have been writing for over twenty years, penning their very first book at just eight years old. Publishers generally do not accept manuscripts in Hello Kitty notebooks, however, but they never gave up.

Following the success of their first novel, Cold Hard Cash, they now enjoy writing professionally, focusing on spinning tales of sultry passion, exotic worlds, and emotional journeys. They love attending horror movie conventions and indulging in cosplay of their favorite characters. They live in Zebulon, NC, with their family, including their children, some of whom have paws and a few that only pretend to because they think it’s cute.

    Baby boy and baby was use way too much...so much, it got annoying. A search showed it was used 213 times. So over used I found myself thinking really? Again?

    The cooking details were too detailed and too many. This wasn't A book about cooking, neither MC was a chef. So much time was spent on preparing food, taking about food and cooking. I skimmed by much of it. It just didn't fit in this book. I felt it was used as page filler and there was a lot of it.

    I do enjoy this author and am willing to read more from her...especially anything Boss Colds world.

    It's finally here. I've been waiting for so long for Jules' story to come out and I was not disappointed. Jules is one of my favorite characters. I also find Bricks adorable. Love their scenes together. My favorite part is probably the "me day" scene. I am also happy to get to know more of the other familiar characters. Love the cameo at the end.

    Loved it so much that I bought it! I definitely recommend this book. I hope to see more of Jules and Bricks. I look forward to the next one in the series.

    Having 2 hulking MCs is a nice change of pace. Brick meets Jules when the movers that Jules hired back into Brick’s pride yard destroying his rainbow flamingo. Jules offers to fix everything and they strike up a friendship.

    Brick cooks for Jules as they get to know each other. Jules has never been with a man but is very interested in Brick. Brick knows Jules is only in town for a short while on business so he tries to head off any possible feelings he may develop for Jules. It doesn’t work. Brick’s house gets broken into TWICE, and his life is is danger all because of Jules mob ties. He still doesn’t care, Brick wants Jules to be his Daddy and Jules wants Brick to be his baby boy. Now they just need to figure out who has betrayed Jules, who wants him dead and, Jules still has a job to do.

    Loved that this was set in the Cold Hard Cash series. My advice is to read that entire series first (one of the best kinky mafia series around). Then read this new ruthless daddies series. Every book in this series is excellent.

    This has been on my Kindle for a while, sadly bogged down under all the newer stories and forgotten. Until now. After loving the Boss Cold stories I was happy to finally read it, as with the previous ones this story was utterly amazing, it's about 55% sexy mm romance and 45% dirty dealings, it is impossible to put down. Brick is a sweet but determined young man who's about meet his match. For a gangster Jules is a little bit playful, a little bit funny, and a whole lot sexy Daddy, that all aside from his "criminaling".

    I'm going to start by saying the crime aspects and storyline were my favorite part of this book. Like it had me tryna guess who the bad guy was and what was going to happen next and I was hooked.

    The MCs themselves were also cool, Brick was confident and just so fun to read and I have been a Jules fan since the first Boss Cold book.

    In saying that I didnt like how his gf was just kind of brushed off after he fought so hard to get her attention in earlier books and I also didnt like that the two MCs never say I love you to each other (this is just my own personal preference)

    The sex scenes in this book was hot and there were ALOT of them.

    The chemistry and relationship between the two MCs was easy and believable and like I said this book had an epic storyline.
