4.7 out of 5 stars 282 ratings

Three gorgeous heroes with three very unusual talents…

An Uncommon Sense
All six senses tell him she’s the one.
own-to-earth teacher Grace Fox doesn’t believe in anything that can’t be proven by science. When Ash Rutherford, a famous doctor-turned-medium and Viking lookalike, asks her to tutor his troubled daughter, she has no intention of getting involved with him, but their chemistry is too powerful to ignore. When she attends one of his shows, Ash provides more than enough proof of his talents to convince her he’s not faking it. But can she bring herself to trust him?

Making Sense
Only she has the power to heal his heart…
Freya Fletcher’s ambition to use her nursing skills abroad remains a distant dream while her father’s gambling debts eat into her measly savings. Following a car accident at fourteen, Nate Taylor developed the ability to heal, but the memory of a boy he couldn’t save continues to haunt him. Before long, lust turns to love, but only when they’re able to break free of their pasts will they be able to heal and move forward to a life together.

Talking Sense
One touch, and he’s lost…
Since the tragic car accident that left Mia Nicholls with an injured back and a guilty heart, falling in love has been the last thing on her mind. Colm Molony, a sexy Celt, plans to return to Ireland at the end of the year. But when Colm holds Mia’s watch and uses his supernatural ability to sense emotions, his instinct to comfort her overrides his intention to keep away. They’re both determined not to fall for each other, but a shocking twist leaves them poised on the edge of a remarkable love, if only they can put their pasts to rest.

For Making Sense

"I thoroughly enjoyed reading it... Making Sense had a great cast of characters. The sense of family and community really enhanced the story for me. I loved the little touches of paranormal that only added to the overall plot instead of usurping it. Making Sense was full of laughter and fun, but had a lot of heart too." 5 hearts from Sizzling Hot Book Reviews

"As always, her characters are multi-faceted and well crafted, and are folks who make you laugh and cry in equal measure... The chemistry between Nate and Freya is hot, almost from the first moment they met." 5 stars from Long and Short Reviews

I was doubtful about reading a book series about mediums and people who could see things in their mind’s eye, but I loved every word of these books. I couldn’t stop reading. Sweet and romantic, the stories intertwine with each other, so you have to read all three books. Every time I read Serenity’s books, I want to take a vacation to New Zealand. Escape our currently depressing world and dive into these books to get away.

In this three-book series each book is a great story. Even with so many obstacles, some moral and spiritual, faith and love proves to be more powerful. Serenity Woods, again, writes a story the everyday woman, or man, can connect with. As I mentioned man... any of Serenity’s books would be a great read for men on how to please a lady, and it’s not all physical. God, I need to move to New Zealand!

I love all of Serenity Woods books, but these had a different vibe to them. Each book in the series links to the other & keeps you reading until the end!

This is my third Serenity Woods series, and if I had to describe her work in two words, they would be, "sweetly steamy." Woods includes sensual depictions of the beautiful New Zealand landscape as well as of her main characters' romantic interactions. These scenes are completely described yet tasteful, and they are well balanced without overtaking the story. I enjoyed the three books in this series, so by now you might be wondering why this series is a 3 for me instead of a 4 or 5. I haven't checked the publishing dates, but I feel that the books in this trilogy had to have been some of Serenity Woods' earlier works. These characters, while certainly not flat, feel significantly less developed than the characters in other works of Woods'. Their problems are almost one-note in comparison. Furthermore, the character development here seems almost...forced. The supernatural element, too. We as readers get very little concrete understanding of how the men's powers "work," so this is far from being a sci-fi or supernatural romance if that's what you're hoping for. We get a vague and limited understanding, probably in keeping with the theme that "You can believe without fully understanding," or something like that. But then, the use of the men's powers feels like it's more at the author's convenience instead of being inherent to her characters. No matter how genuine Ash, Nate and Colm are, their powers still seem like they could have been faked to me. I don't think that was intentional, I think that maybe the author just wasn't as comfortable integrating the paranormal element into her storytelling. Sadly, I probably won't be re-reading this series. That being said, if you have the opportunity to check out her work, I strongly encourage giving this author a chance. I often re-read books from her Three Wise Men and Billionaire Kings series. She's also a bit stiff writing the "billionaire" trope, but honestly, reading a Serenity Woods book is like taking a book vacation to New Zealand. I've never left my little corner of North America, but when Woods describes a sub-tropical rainstorm, I feel like I'm living it.

I absolutely loved these 3 books. I would recommend getting all 3 because as soon as you finish one, you'll want to read the next. Although each book is an individual story with a great ending where you don't have to read them in order, it would be better if you do.
You really get into all the characters and I love it that they all appear in each book.
Serenity is a wonderful writer with great stories lines. They are full of romance, intrigue and we can't forget the great sex.

Ash is the lynch pin for the whole series. He is so strong in some ways yet always thoughtful. Grace is a real skeptic and need convincing of his gift, he almost convinced me. Nate is less open but Freya has a way of getting him to talk. They both have to deal with the past. Colm is the least known as he only appears in the final story with Mia. The series ends too suddenly as I really wanted more. I had read the first book years ago but enjoyed better this way.
