When I told Tennessee we needed to have more schools than just Edenburg I thought they’d assign appropriate people to the task. Ya know, like actual adults. Not a sixteen year old who still has to finish high school herself.

But then Tennessee became Coven Leader, and my great idea came back to bite me in the ass. Sure, the Majors and Minors of Manhattan were technically in charge and they’d brought in fantastic witches to teach.....however our fearless, nonhuman Leader wanted Deacon and I to oversee everything.

I wanted to be honored that he trusted us that much....but I barely knew how to use my own magic, how was I supposed to run an entire magical academy - without destroying the city or getting anyone killed?

I didn’t know but I was about to find out.

    Each book was so full of stories of magic, the coven and battles against the evil spirits of Joseph’s shadow army. That’s happening at Edinburgh Academy and that’s when Tennessee realized that even though they were teaching the students how to use their magic they weren’t them to use it to protect themselves adequately. Emerson and Deacon take a few days break and go to Manhattan so Emerson can meet Deacon’s family. Then new chaos starts there and Tennessee decides another Academy needs to be started in Manhattan. You have got to read this series.

    Once again Chandelle LaVaun has lived up to and exceeded expectations with "School of Magical Arts". I was really happy Emersyn got more story time this round and that we got see her get a chance to grow. I really love how she fills in the gaps when a member of the Coven goes off in one book to do something but then returns and the story just continues. It's great when you get the other side of the events taking place as the stories are all going on at the same time even 5 books later. Chandelle LaVaun fills in all those little holes nicely.

    I have yet to finish Season 3 of The Coven but I am already hoping there will be a season 4, 5, 6... I just hope the author never runs out of stories to tell with this group of witches.

    I love all the books. I don't know how i began Bettany first then read the Coven series and this series. It's a very bad idea because they are a lot of spoiler in Bettany book. But i loved her book but the coven serie are just fantastic. I love teagan and Tennessee but Emersyn is just incredible. She is just a combinaison of sweet and fierce that when she is in a fight you just can't believe it's her. So this serie was just really great because we saw how Emersyn being away from Tegan grew more in her role of a High member of the Coven and how her relationship with Deacon grew more. It's just a great continuation of the serie. But read the book in order because the other coven member come in this book and even Bettany.
