    A story about second chances and fighting for freedom. It is time for the New Alliance to show their true selves and hope for the acceptance that will grant Shifters freedom to live in peace outside of the shadows. Charlie (Charolette), works for a local newspaper fighting for her big chance to prove herself but what she sees on TV opens heartache from the past. James thought he'd never see Charlie again after his family suddenly moved after he and Charlie shared a teenage kiss ten years ago. After watching James and the others shift on TV Charlie realizes why James left but can she forgive him for breaking her heart?? After a video of an attack on Charlie and James is shown all over social media The New Alliance needs help showing them as protectors not predators. Charlie steps up to help but can she pull it off with things heating up with James??? A great shifter series that will keep you turning pages!!! The characters pull you in and keep you there until the end!! Can't wait for more!!!

    This one holds the end of this series with old school friends seeing each other for the first time in years. Things didn’t end very good for them after one kiss James leave with no good bye leaving Charlie feeling lost and alone not knowing why he left the way he did. It is time for the shifters to make a stand getting control of their lives back. Coming forward isn’t easy and leave so much open from their old boss to the The Sons of Domnall it seems everyone is out to get them. It was very interesting watching how humans took the news of shifters being around them. The question is can they live together in peace or will they be leaving on group of controlling to another one who wants to the same.

    Charlie and James story is touching they have many issues they will have to overcome both seems to be hiding a secret from the other. They need time which they do not have a lot of with humans, The sons of Domnall and the old Alliance trying to get control. This was a very enjoyable read.

    Mr. Blackthorne’s narration was very good with interesting character voices that blends well with the story. His male voices are just as good as his female’s one. You always know who is talking and what their emotions are.There is one place where he repeats a part which I am guessing is when he took a break Other than that the volume was very even throughout the audio. There are no background noises this is a very clear and clean audio. Mr. Blackthorne has a very nice voice his normal voice is just as great as his characters ones. I have to say for a man he does a very lovely female voice. His voice did pull me in making me feel comfortable and right at home. I had no trouble picturing each character and their emotions. The author does an outstanding job with the passionate scenes really giving the first night of love for each character true emotions. I haven’t had the pleasure of listening to his work before this box set but to look forward to listening to more of it.

    Charlie a jr reporter who keeps getting stuck with meaningless articles, watches the news as the group that calls themselves The New Alliance revealed themselves to the world by shifting on live television. She recognized James the one who broke her heart when they were teens. Now she wants to find him to get closure as well as maybe a story, but nothing more. But even after all these years, his touch brings electricity through her and she cannot stop thinking of him.
    James a bear shifter has revealed himself along with the other New Alliance people around the world. Their purpose is still to stop Blacke from implementing his crazy plans of segregation between the shifter races. They're fighting not only The Sons of Domnall, but the Alliance with Blacke claiming he's the shifters leader. James now has a second chance with Charlotte (Charlie) after he thought leaving was his only option when they were teens, now he's not so sure. He's never forgotten her, and knows she's his mate. But will she not only forgive him, but give him a second chance? But he has work to do. They need to stop the endless cycle of violence and hate somehow. Who will the majority of the human population believe and side with? You'll have to read Scottish Werebear: A Second Chance to find out, but it'll be worth the time you take to read it! Each of these novellas are a quick read and could be read as a standalone HEA, but I recommend reading the complete series in order to get the little tidbits of background information on everything. I received an ARC copy via IndieSage in exchange for a blog tour review. Due to sexual content this novel is recommended for readers 17 and older!

    The storylines are fantastic. The characters ate awesome.
    The day has come The New Alliance shifters are revealing them selves to the world. The shifters are tired of hiding in the shadows. So they formed the Alliance only the original Alliance ways were wrong. A group of shifters formed the New Alliance. They contacted the news media and picked prominent locations all over to meet and shift in front of them. James and his group came out in Scotland.
    Charlie is a journalist who had been in love with James when they were in their teens till one day he disappeared!. Now she sees him on TV turning into a Werebear. This leads to her and James meeting up again. James had been in love with her to but she was human and when they were teens it was a forbidden relationship. Can they now be together?. Will Charlie forgive him for disappearing on her?. You need to read and see if the humans will except the shifters or try to destroy them!.
    You will love this exciting, suspenseful, intense, funny, sweet and steamy hot shifter romance!. It is a must read book!.
