1935: Infamous gangster Dutch Schultz fears the law is catching up with him. Morgan Mason is a gay romance author and reader, who got her start writing YA. Her penchant for sweet stories with a good dose of spicy heat thrown in, always end with a happily ever after. Some of her characters find love easily, some take the scenic route, but all in all, everyone gets there in the end.

When she’s not reading, writing, or working, Morgan is playing with her three dogs, changing out her “mom hats” for her extremely busy kids, and trying to rein in a husband who continually comes up with new hobbies for them to explore. She’d love to travel the world one day but that would mean pulling her nose out of a book to appreciate the scenery around her and she’s not sure how she would feel about that.

    Morgan Mason’s final book in the “Treasure Trove” series was my absolute favorite. I think I smiled the whole way through. Loyal Kekoa and Dawson DeGraza were so sweet, adorable, and their chemistry was hot.

    Loyal is a successful YouTuber who spends his days with his brother and friends looking for treasure and making videos. He decides to try to find a treasure that will have a large payout for him and his crew. The group decides to pursue the lost safe of Dutch Schultz rumored to be worth over $100 million dollars.

    Dawson is a rich man with no ambition and lack of close relationships due to his bank balance. He’s been burned before by people only using him for his money. On a whim, he decides to search for the missing treasure as well. From the moment these two meet, they are drawn to each other. Their romance is sweet, low-angst, and swoony. It wouldn’t seem like they would make a good couple, but they fit each other well.

    The side characters are the best and made this book my favorite. I’m very excited for the novella of Randal, Pete, and Digg. Perhaps a throuple? I loved them so much and they are very intriguing.

    The writing in this book is phenomenal and the amount of research is staggering. It would be easy to let the story get bogged down in the details, but Morgan balances it perfectly. The epilogue was so sweet as well. I highly recommend this unique series!

    Loved all the historical details and the finding family aspect of the story. The MCs don't get off to a great start, sparks fly, and I liked the rather insta-love connection that followed. Great secondary characters too. I hope to find out more about some of them in particular😊

    I loved this book.... It has all the emotions. I thought the previous books of this series were good, but now this one is my favorite. Loved Dawson and Loyal ... Loved all the gang too. Was worried at one point that there was going to be some angst, but I was relieved when there wasn't. Loved me some Randal.

    Such a great book. A romantic adventure complete with treasure hunting. Entertaining and steamy. Found friends and family. Finding out your purpose in life. Dawson has more money than God. He’s used to getting what he wants and is bored out of his mind. His friend jokingly suggests treasure hunting and Dawson takes it and runs with it. After some research he decides upon Schultz’s safe that is still missing to this day. He and his trusted everything arrive in the small town around where Schultz was last seen. When they arrive they discover there is no available rooms to rent. The last room was just rented out to Loyal. They kind of clash both from two different worlds. Eventually Loyal agrees to share his room. Soon they both discover that are looking for the same treasure. So begins the tale of the two bonding together for the same cause. Loyal and his internet team find things. Dawson wants to fund the project and the teams join together. There is also an attraction between Dawson and Loyal. Will they find buried treasure? Will the attraction lead to more? I highly recommend.

    Safe with Me is the last story in the Treasure Trove series and I think it was the best one yet!! Loved, loved, loved Loyal and Dawson!!! They were sweet and steamy, their connection and instant chemistry sooo good!! The research that the author did for this story was phenomenal!!!! I had never heard of the Schultz’s safe. Overall, a fantastic read! The story was really well written, the pacing flowed smoothly, highly recommend. I am voluntarily leaving a review form an advanced copy that I received. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions.
