I love to read about men in love. Flawed, but strong men, who need some TLC and find their happy ending. I love to write about those same type of men too, sometimes with added kink! I also love to read horrors, thrillers and crime novels.

When I’m not trying to keep my boys in line, or writing about hot sexy men, I like to work on my allotment. I also like to read, to take walks in the countryside, and visit historical places. Recently, we went to Stonehenge and Avebury. It was an amazing experience.

    Okay so I wasn’t expecting the slow burn, the conspiracy or the need to see things through. But he author definitely open up a whole plot line I NEED to know about!

    Character breakdown:

    Miguel; he as so cute and so patient with Jacques. I love that he was Hispanic and that he had a true fear that not many talk about, until it is too late. I also loved how well he blended with everyone around.

    Jacques: I love that the author kept him true to the trauma survivor and gave him real issues to conquer and didn’t “fix”him right away. That he needed time and went through panic attacks, it’s not often you see that in books anymore. I was glad to see him try and get to the bottom of things though.

    Favorite quote: “We can wait a little longer.” “No, Miguel. I want this with you. Help make all those bad memories go away. Replace them with you.” He whispered the last words against his lips.

    Seriously cannot wait to see how this will go, the little snippets of the “enemy” have me curious as all hel. So I cannot wait for the next books in the series.

    This was okay. For whatever reason in my head I was expecting more about the blood slaves. I understand we have to work towards it but it feels like it's moving in slow motion - hey but I must say that's just me. The trauma Jacques faced and the after effects was done okay. I will read the next installment because I want to know what the vampires have planned and just how far this conspiracy goes.

    I am loving this series!

    Building a relationship, add action, intrigue, and a steamy connection and you have a terrific story! Both MC's are strong and likable characters that fit right in with the rest of the previous MC's from the past books in this series. It is great to see many of the previous guys interact and support this mating.

    Miguel and Jacques have some very special challenges in building their relationship. The abuse that Jacques suffered has impacted him and requires that both men use lots of patience to create their relationship.

    I would recommend reading this book as part of the series. It could be read as a stand-alone, but you would miss the world-building and character knowledge that comes from reading each of these books.

    Looking forward to book six!

    Miguel's vampire mate was rescued after being sold and used as a blood slave and raped. The vampire council and members are the elite ruling families are formulating plans to take over the world. The MC's were sweet and Miguel was very patient and loving with his damaged mate I look forward to the next book.
