Safe Word (Queen of Hearts Series Book 2) Kindle Edition
Call girls aren’t meant to have relationships, but my mercenaries are a little too hard to resist. Good thing I never minded breaking the rules.
The guys have another big job to do, but they need my help… again. And this time, it’s a family affair. Girls are going missing from their cousins’ clubs, and it’s our job to hunt down and kill the culprits. Whether it’s linked to their less-than-legal business dealings, MC connections, or just the shady bastards they call customers, no one knows. I have a feeling we’ll need to go all in and knives out.
Not to mention I’ve still got my own business to take care of. Having that white picket fence and a happily ever after was never in the cards for me, and now that I’ve formed attachments, the future looks just as complicated and even more fucked up. Especially since ex-lovers and new clients are waiting in line to join the shitshow that is my life.
I played a little too long in the darkness, and now there are secrets and skeletons coming into the light.
Life isn’t done testing me or my guys. In the end, I’ll find out if they are the home I was always looking for or just another place I was passing through.

This is book 2 of 3 in the Queen of Hearts Trilogy and CANNOT be read as a standalone and does end on a cliffhanger (even worse than book 1)
Nic is home and things seem to be a little smoother sailing... until they're not. Vas and Sacha get a call from their cousins requesting help to find a few club workers that are missing or have been taken. So back to work for everyone, including Nic. Nic takes on a new client.. and her guys are less than thrilled with the idea, especially when she seems to be going out with him more frequently than she did her other clients. Nic also gets a call from an old acquaintance, a motorcycle club president that met Nic years ago and needs her help. Not only is Nic known for her call girl status.. she's know for her behind the scene stabby tendencies. ☠️ Just how many dangerous people does Nic know?! The connections Nic has seem to be never ending! The guys still seem to be keeping her at a distance from their jobs and she still has secrets of her own.
With more secrets being spilled... or maybe more like forced out... past merging with present and new connections being made, this is one wild ride that's not ending anytime soon. We learn more about Bodhi and Oli and what their backgrounds consist of. We learn more about Nic and the secrets she harbors... and boyyyy are you in for a surprise... well multiple surprises. And don’t even get me started on spice.. 🥵 just imagine every dark depraved kink you can come up with and expect it.. 😮💨😮💨
There is only so much to be said about this book without completely spoiling the story. THIS SERIES HAS TAKEN OVER MY LIFE!! and I'm totally here for it! I am honestly floored with the inner workings of this world Suki has woven. 🤯 The complexity of this story just continues to build and I am obsessed with the little ins and outs of how all the characters are connected without knowing it! If you think it might be... it probably is! This book had me screaming "no f-ing way" and "I f-ing knew it!" more than I want to admit. I'm not done with this series and it has easily moved to one of my top reads EVER! This cliffhanger though… oh it hurts.. god I can't wait to see Nic wage a war no ones prepared for!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 16, 2024This series draws a lot of grey lines. In my eyes there is a lot of cheating but within the relationship they don't see it as that. It's a grey area, and it has always been my view that it's only cheating if you view it that way within your relationship. So for Nic and her guys, it might not have been but if I had been there it absolutely would be. If cheating is something you don't like, I wouldn't read this. However if you like dark, grey areas, lots of blood, and chaos. This is for you! I loved it personally but I am taking one star away for the cheating

HOOOOOLY. SHIRTS. AND. SOCKS!
Firstly, let me say, READ THE TRIGGER WARNING-don't let the Kindle app do that thing where it auto skips to the first chapter. Read them all, don't miss a word. It's better (and kinder to the author) to read the warnings than to just jump into the book and then turn around and leave trash reviews because you read content you didn't like but could've been warned against to begin with. This book will definitely not be for everyone and THAT'S OKAY.
Now, the book. Holy cheeseballs, Batman. THE. BOOK. I'm not entirely sure my brain has switched back on after Suki got in there and jumbled all my damn thoughts.
Honestly, the foreplay violence Nic craves was almost a little bit much for me but then I realized how deeply hurt and damaged because of that hurt basically Every. Single. Character is and I spent the rest of my read feeling their actions like sandpaper in my brain. In a this-is-some-deep-shhht kind of way. Maybe I've interpreted the characters incorrectly but the big, heavy moments where horrible truths unraveled and giant emotional cliffs were climbed gave me real people emotions so...🤷🏽♀️
If you're reading reviews before the book, this next bit is for you. If it were for me, I'd tell you all the damn things so we can freak out together but I can wait patiently (not really) for the group posts.
We meet some new additions to Nic's RH and are entertained by Vas' struggle to accept them, even though he has history with each one.
The dynamic shifts a little between some of the guys as they finally sort out some of their own feelings and start to morph into slightly sandpapered versions of themselves.
We see the original 5 opening up to each other in new, confusing to them and maybe not always healthy, ways.
Nic throws herself into danger trying to pick apart a murder mystery and eventually comes to all the right conclusions about things. Seriously, idk if she could live that life but maybe future Nic can be a PI.
Nic has been withholding a dangerous threat she received from her men (in her defense, it's been a very busy story) and in the end, it comes back with natural disaster type force and causes her to make a heartbreaking decision. This happens on top of an already exploded bomb literally one second before.
We're left on huuuuge cliffhanger with no safety lines and have been told that Blake's story needs to advance a little more before we can get more of Nic and her men.
I am not okay. Send help!

Review
OMG book two of this series was just as fantastically dark as the first one. Picking up right where we left in book one Nicholette is recovering and her men are right there with her. Their relationship really develops in this installment and we get a better look into their pasts and the darkness that surrounds them. Get to experience lots of jealousy all around in this one with the guys and clients.
Lots more drama and action in this books just as much as first if not more. It’s an endless rollercoaster of twists and turns. And a ton of steam and hot as sin scenes!! Full of suspense and mystery involving the women being attacked and unalived, that still needs to be solved. So if you loved the first book in this trilogy you are going to love this one just as much.
It will have you on the edge of your seat and left wanting after a huge and intense cliffhanger. Seriously can not wait for the next book so we can see again where Suki takes us with these characters. Absolutely fantastic addition highly recommend this and the first book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet but a Psycho 😜🔪
Queen of Hearts book 2 is one huge twist and surprise in one, new characters added that find their way into this dark and ever so psychotic crazy world that Nic lives in. She is one crazy psycho herself which if any of you have heard the song sweet but psycho by Ava max yeah that’s what pops in my head when think of Nic lol
Possible Spoilers 🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸
Take away all the dark and kinky stuff this story contains and it’s like everybody wants Nic, whether it’s a client who can’t find anybody to either satisfy them or up for some sick and twisted fantasies. A lover that is head over heals for her and claiming her theirs in what ever way they see fit, a Jealous ex or a stalker. Now book 1 I knew who her stalker was so was happy with that outcome and glad what happened to him but this stalker I have a good idea it’s a client of hers but you never know with this.
This series isn’t even just that, so much with gangs, sex trafficking, mercenaries. It makes me wish this was a series with how much entertainment this series brings but it’s way too dark for that I think it wouldn’t be possible but damn that be amazing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Off the charts spice
Nic has always loved her job. That is after all how she met her boys but she is given a job of a new client and she ends up catching the feels for him too.
But she’s needed on her little side hustle and finds out when everyone meets up that the past relationships she’s had are catching up with the current ones and that the past relationships may not be so much in the past as she’s thought.
The story phenomenal with spice off the charts

4.0 out of 5 stars Four stars
Stars given on level of engagement;
5 stars - less than a day to read because I cannot put it down. I only give 5 stars if it has managed to engage extra emotions from me - extreme lol moments or real teary moments etc. A 5 stars book tends to have me raging about cliff hangers and (legally and not creepily) stalking the author for release dates.
4 stars - 2 days to read or less. A book that I have quite enjoyed reading, feisty MC and some racy scenes with thier romantic interest. I would definitely follow a series and author for 4 star books.
3 stars - takes around 2/3 days to read, usually because I have become distracted and less engaged in some sections but by the end the end I have enjoyed the overall story and would read any sequels.
1/2 stars not given, as I have usually returned it without finishing as I'm not engaged. .
