First and foremost, Chariss K. Walker is a storyteller. She tells her readers and listeners a story as if they were sitting around a blazing campfire or at the kitchen table. She tells a story in words that anyone with any level of education can understand.

From light and airy to dark and emotionally intense, Chariss K. Walker, M.Msc., Reiki Master/Teacher, writes both fiction and nonfiction books that captivate and excite her readers. In her own words, Chariss says, "I write for those who search for the mystical in the world. I write to inspire, inform, and delight. I write for you!"

Those who search for meaning and the supernatural in themselves will enjoy her books whether readers of fiction or nonfiction. Her fiction expresses a visionary/metaphysical message that illustrates growth in a character's consciousness while utilizing a paranormal aspect. Her nonfiction books share insight, hope, and inspiration.

Although Chariss writes some dark-fiction books about insanely dark topics that are not suitable for faint-hearted readers, there is always an essential question of the abstract nature that gives a reader increased awareness and perception. She also writes cozy mysteries and inspirational women's studies fiction.

All of her books are sold worldwide in eBook, paperback, and many are in large print. Click the "follow" button to find out when new books are released. Get a free eBook when you subscribe to her monthly newsletter:

This book will knock your socks off!
This book will knock your socks off! The author has written a dystopian Fantasy that is too close to the truth. She manages to combine all the genres she is noted for--metaphysical-pure fantasy-and every other one. You may or may not notice as the story will keep you reading. I found myself thinking--gosh--I hope this is not prophetic!! I could see a lot of what is happening today turning into what happens in the book. There is a cliff hanger at the end which will have you wanting to read more of what happens as the survivors try to form a new society!!I really think that this may be for adults only--but if your pre teen or teen wants to read it--you read it first!!

Having read the other Serena McKay books, I was anxious to dig into this new one. Salazar, A Dystopian Fantasy 2121, by Chariss Walker is a fiction novel that reads like it could possibly be a political prophecy. Well written with great characters and a tight, scary plot that echoes what’s wrong with our society right now, this is one of those ‘hard to put down and go to sleep’ books. It points to where we might be headed if we don’t wise up soon, but also gives us a glimmer of hope for the future. Author Chariss Walker does not disappoint.

This book takes a different view on how a Dystopian future might come about. It was not due to aliens invading our planet, it was not caused by other counties launching a nuclear war, it was our OWN people on our OWN soil. It is a great read and I cannot wait to read others in this series!!

A good start for a series. Almost a cliffhanger ending, I dislike strongly cliffy's. I can't wait to hear what happens next. It also mentioned some of Salazar's ancestors. They sound like they should have their own books.
The narrative brings the story to life. I definitely will be listening to it again.

This book does lend itself to our changing times and the end game of global warming quite well. I enjoyed the storyline and characters.

Besides the obvious political slant, it reads like the writings of a teenager who did not do well in English or History while in HS. I did not make it past the 4th chapter.

I'd give it a half a star if I could!

    Run away...Run away!!!
