Santa with a K Kindle Edition
The adult ones are redirected to the other guy: He who came before Santa.
Dear Santa, I want a dominant man who will tie me up, do naughty things to me, and punish me until I’m good.
Now Florence has the 12 days of Christmas to prove that she really can be a good girl, if she ever wants to see her home again.
Contains kink, MfM, and a lot of craziness.
Even the reindeer harness gets a workout, and the gimp mask, the ornaments, and the two red-uniformed soldiers.
So much deviance.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 26, 2018Give me a break! No matter how much anyone wishes, Santa just doesn’t exist anywhere! But Florence has a question. “Just how much did I drink last night?” Seriously? Last night may be a blur, but she remembers one thing. She wished. But she’s no child! She sure as hell got something but who and what? Who is this K? And Dominik? This has to be a dream! She’ll wake up soon, right…right? Or maybe not!
You never know what you’re going to get with a Cari Silverwood book. Offbeat, quirky, amazingly sexy, sometimes darker than dark, at others hilarious, always unpredictable, absolutely unique! There were times I laughed out loud, others where I couldn’t believe what I was reading. In Santa With a K, her dark sense of humor shines through. Florence is amazing! There’s nothing ordinary about her. All over the map doesn’t begin to describe her. A wish on Christmas Eve? Then there’s K and Dominik. OMG! If you think you know the stories and legends about Santa, St. Nicholas, or any version of that person with the naughty and nice list, think again! This book blows every belief you might hold out of the water! Cari Silverwood has worked her magic again with a holiday story unlike any other! While her endings always leave you wanting more, this one confused me a bit. But I still absolutely recommend this book! You’ll never look at Christmas wishes or any version of Santa in the same way again!
A final note. This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language, some dark sexual scenes, and hysterically funny takes on legendary figures. If you don't enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. Check the book blurbs and reviews available on Goodreads and Amazon and use them before buying this book. But I do recommend it.
Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 3, 2019This was a perverted, devious, outrageous short story and I adored it. No one does kinky better, and this one has Krampus! I had a hard time fully understanding the ending, but it was very well written. I don't typically do well with short stories because I always feel like I need more. This was no different for me. I wanted to know more about the bar and "the door."
- Reviewed in the United States on November 25, 2024Honestly kind of confusing on the story. It’s also written in 3rd person and I have no idea what happened at the end. Kinda disappointed.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 2, 2019Although the premise of "Santa with a K" seemed promising, the execution of this short story was disappointing. Even if Cari Silverwood's intent was to leave the reader as unsure of what is going on as Florence, the lead character, I expected a little more coherence in this short story based on the blurb, which suggested a tale that would stretch out over the twelve days of Christmas.
While the reader is given a semi-detailed accounting of what takes place on days one and two, the story then glosses over a couple of days to get to day five, goes into some detail again, jumps to day ten, gives a little more detail, then leaps to day twelve after a very hasty account of Florence being kept in a cage. Even in the portions of the story where Ms. Silverwood is more expansive, the descriptions of the action feel glossed over and hurried, and at times it seems details were added out of sequence (...they led her blindfolded from the cage, but first they tied her hands behind her back..).
To me "Santa with a K" read like a story outline that had been partially developed; as published this tale felt amateurish and incomplete. Did Ms. Silverwood run up against a publishing deadline and find herself unable to finish developing the story? Did she have a word or page limit that forced her to cut out significant portions of the story? Whatever the case, I found myself more annoyed by the hasty writing and choppy transitions than intrigued by the plot. Having read some of Ms. Silverwood's other works, I am of the opinion her strength lies in writing longer stories.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 23, 2018Twas the night before Christmas and Florence was her usual self. Sitting across from a man whose name would soon be forgotten. Too many drinks were had and wishes were made but it wasn’t Santa who answered the call. Waking in her own private fantasy/nightmare, Florence learns that she has to be good if she wants to go home. But what does being good actually mean to a woman used to getting her way in all things?
I have to admit that I was grinning and giggling as I read this story because it hit all my buttons of what makes a good pleasure story for me. With some laugh out loud funny lines that I had to highlight, they were so memorable (ex: “Her well-thought-out essay on why this was wrong, came out as mostly spit.”). Since this is a short story, there isn’t much in the way of world-building but there’s enough that you have a good idea what’s going on and you’re either cheering Florence on or …. Either way, it definitely makes you rethink that naughty list.
There are so many things I want to share about the story but I don’t want to get my review or this story banned. So, sit back, strap in, take a long draw of whatever you’re drinking, and get to tapping those pages. You won’t be doing anything else until you come up for air.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 27, 2018Be careful what you wish for...I'm not drawn to the subject matter always of this author's books, but her writing, storytelling, is just flawless. She sucks you right in, makes you feel what her characters are feeling, which is terrifying at times. If you're willing to step out of your box and comfort zone, I recommend her to you. Her humor shines through even the dark.
