    Savage and Candace. Savage is a surgeon, his dad was a surgeon, both of them for the military. We know that Rick Savage works for Walker Security whose founder is Blake and his brother Asher. All of the men in Walker Security are ex military. Smith and and Adam are in Texas with Rick to help him with this assignment he didn't want to take. Tag a member of a Black Ops he was involved in comes to New York City and tells him he needs him to do a favor for him then they are even. Rick doesn't want to go to San Antonio because the only woman he ever loved and was engaged to still lives there. Candace is an architect and she bb now engaged to this man named Gabriel, who is running for the office of b president. Rick wants Candace to hate him because he feels like that will protect her from those who are trying to hurt her father and her to get to him. Candace's father is General Howard Marks. Their mother and wife died and was deployed so he will be leaving and Candace is upset and she meets Rick Savage that night eight years ago. The present time he is in San Antonio to protect her and to be near her. The assignment Tag gave him takes on a life of itself. The Walker Security business gets involved because especially he is one of them. This story contains drama and angst and mystery and of course love and romance. Can't wait to read next book in the trilogy. Recommend this book for your reading pleasure. Hmm....

    This is a new to me author and series. Overall I've been enjoying the series until this book. Fortunately, this one was free for me. First, if you are like me you do not like cliffhangers then skip this book and the two that follow. If you are also like me and do not like reading multiple books about the same couple regardless of the story these three books are not for you. I have read this one, but I refuse to pay $4.99 each for the next two books after reading the samples. I don't care enough about this particular to pay the money and don't find this one to have the humor in it that others had.

    We have been waiting with baited breath for this trilogy and it does not disappoint! We’ve met Savage on many occasions during his time with Walker Security and we have always wondered what his story would be. Yes, we all agree that when it was his time to shine, it would be epic and set off a display of fireworks worthy of a nighttime sky in July! Rick and Candace have tumultuous love. They have experienced the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, but neither one has really moved on. I have to say that if you love the alpha vibe (and you know who you are) don’t miss this sexy talking, brute of a man and his equally sassy gifted woman!

    Things that I know about Rick Savage:
    1) He has a ferocious appetite for all your guilty pleasures (Sweets and Sex)
    2) He reeks focused havoc on anyone who dares to mess with those he loves
    3) He is a comedian extraordinaire with required quip is needed

    Lisa has out done herself with this one!
    She is my go-to girl when I need an escape!

    This is a cliffhanger. I hate it when an author does this to sell another book. I think it is evil. Besides being a cliffhanger, I found a few editing errors, which I also hate to see done by a good story teller. The plot is good and the characters are wonderful. I won't give anything away, but just know you'll have to buy the next book (or books) to even get a glimpse at an end.

    High on angst, high on chemistry, high on suspense. This is the first book of a trilogy so there is a cliffhanger. Not having read any other books by this author, I found the beginning a little startling. I felt I had missed the first 10 minutes of the start of the movie. But like any good movie, you are immersed in the story and invested in the characters to continue and find out their story. Off to read the next in this series. Hope Rick’s buddies get their story!
