Save Her Soul by Amanda J Evans is a great story from a master storyteller, a story that explores the power of revenge and destiny. Since the murder of her sister a year ago, Kate has meticulously planned her revenge and she is determined to make the perpetrator go through even worse than what her sister suffered. She's built enough evidence and determined the course of her actions. Drake has been entrusted to watch over Kate's soul for more than five hundred years. It is the ancient soul that now lives in Kate and she's an evil that could destroy humanity if released. While Drake's job is to see her returned to Hell where she belongs, he has a strong feeling about protecting Kate. There is a lot to intrigue readers and keep them looking for answers.

It is interesting to notice how the story is told, in an entrancing first person narrative voice with alternating points of view between Drake and Kate. The reader feels the psychology of the inner workings of the hearts of the characters. The plot elements are well thought out and accomplished to perfection. I enjoyed the powerful descriptions, the strong scenes and the emotionally rich passages. The conflict is well developed and readers will be thrilled as they encounter the unexpected twists. Save Her Soul had the effect that Thirst by Christopher Pike had on me. It is well-crafted, balanced, and very entertaining. Amanda J Evans' writing is impeccable and shows a skilled talent for plot and character.

Amanda J Evans is an award-winning Irish author. She writes paranormal and fantasy romance novels as well as children's stories. Growing up with heroes like Luke Skywalker and Indiana Jones, her stories centre on good versus evil with a splice of magic and love thrown into the mix. An early tragedy in her life has also made its way onto the page and Amanda brings the emotions of grief to life in her stories too. Amanda lives in Ireland with her husband and two children.     Love this book! I'm not much of a romance guy, but I said the same thing the last time I read a novella by Amanda Evans (Finding Forever) and was still highly engaged by her stellar storytelling! Save Her Soul is filled with a building suspense that keeps you turning the pages, with elements of the supernatural to boot!

    What I really enjoyed about this story is that it's cleverly crafted in 1st Person POV, but between both protagonists (Kate and Drake). Each chapter jumps between the two, so we get to see the same story from the eyes and minds of two different characters with two separate agendas - one who is hell bent on revenge, the other determined to bring Kate to damnation. Yet as the characters' lives intertwine, their motivations change as they discover the chance for redemption in each others' arms.

    I'd recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance story but also has an interest in the supernatural and unexplained. Angels, demons, curses, ancient powerful relics, and a butt-kicking female protagonist...this one has it all!

    There's lots of good to say about Ms. Evan's writing. It flows nicely and she allows the reader to focus on the adventure that is pursuing Kate and driving Drake through the story. Kate's inner demons are easily understood and astutely handled by Ms. Evans. Save Her Soul teases you into following it through its twists and turns until you no longer know how you got where you, but enjoying the adventure too much to really care.

    With something like the fate of the world at stake, it's good to take your time. And that's what this novel does as it develops its characters, the world and the ultimate struggle.

    The story evolves around a couple, fated to reincarnate over and over until they get things right and make decisions based on love and not revenge. Readers who like having the story told from multiple viewpoints will appreciate this book though sometimes things do get a bit repetitive.

    While there's a bit of world building at the start, after a few chapters the story flows and it's easy to lose yourself in the tale.

    Wow, what a beautifully written story about loss and love. This book sucked me in from the very beginning and I couldn't read it fast enough to see what was going to happen next. You may think you know what's going to happen, but you'd be wrong. The love of Drake and Isteria has been alive for 500 years, but the curse is still around. Will they finally be able to break the curse or is this the end for them. No spoilers, so please do yourself a favor and one-click this book with it's unique storyline.

    Evans writes in a style that is quick and "punchy" and poetic, all at the same time. From the very first sentence I was drawn in to the imagery of this story and I burned through the pages in no time. It's dark and powerful and makes you think and… well… I don't want to give too much away, but I'll say that I loved the ending. The first person point of view is written in such a way that you're right there, inside the character's minds - minds that are complicated and wonderful. If you enjoy intense paranormal stories, you're going to love this book.
