Bride of the Sea (The Prophecy of Sisters Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 143 ratings

Liv Collins has a problem. Her sister has vanished without a trace. Like a bad dream, not even a private detective can find Sybilla. All the way across the country, living in New York City, Liv feels helpless and hopeless.

All of that anguish disappears when she goes to bed one night only to wake up in a damp, dark forest surrounded by the scent of smoke and… Vikings?

They are huge, all of them, but she can only focus on the one with the pale blue eyes as he watches her intently. He is battle-hardened and scarred.

He is massive, with long hair, covered in dirt, blood, paint, and tattoos. Everything about him should frighten her. Especially the fact that they don’t even speak the same language.

Aaric, the Sea King, has been the King of Wolfjour Ail for many years. A kingdom he is proud to rule, as long as he can do so from raiding ships that travel the world to provide riches for his people.

An ancient prophecy has come to light. Witches, dragons, Vikings, and magic make up this parallel universe.

Two people must find trust and love in one another. Two people must fight the demons in front of them and inside of them. Sacrifices must be made. Families could be torn apart. Without one, the other cannot succeed, the lands will perish, the world could end.

I don't know what to say other than as soon as I finish a book in this series, I'm seriously jonesing for the next book. The story/world this author has created has sucked me in deeply and I don't ever want to leave it. There were a couple of times that I wanted to kick Aaric in his alpha balls, but I still wanted him, just like Liv. The author's ability to transport us across time and dimension with her description of the landscape, people and things the heroine sees is magical. I also really love the fact we get a novella at the end centered on Quest and leading into the next book. To say I am eagerly anticipating the next book has to be the understatement of the year--and in the year of the coronavirus, coke boars, double hurricanes and the all-around plague, that should tell you how awesome this book is!!

She is such a fabulous writer. I could not put this book down. Aaric, King of the Sea finds Liv this redhead, green eyed beauty. He's never seen this color of hair or eyes before. Sassy mouthed Liv says haven't you ever seen Irish people before? This book is filled with vikings, witches, demons, and even a dragon! The story goes with Liv searching for her sister Sylibba and falls asleep one night and ends up in the land of Wolfjour Ail. Aaric discovers her and they find out about the Prophecy where 4 sisters can end up the most powerful women. The sex between Aaric and Liv is amazing! I'm so looking forward to her next story

This is another conflicted review. The story was engaging and while there was some mood changes that gave me whiplash over all i finished it in one day so clearly it hit the spot. There’s was some typos in the kindle version though and if I notice them that’s bad lol I’m a crap speller. Also some dialogue didn’t match. For example in one scene the girl says she’s never ridden a horse before. But in the beginning of the book she was on horseback with her man, and she reflects then in her mind it’s been decades since her minimal riding lessons. It pulled me out of the story which was otherwise ok.

The intrigue of The Prophecy of Sisters is very compelling. I'm even more curious about Dru and Birdie now and the sisters parents???
I love that the instant attraction between Liv and Aaric is what they both think is just lust. I thoroughly enjoy reading the angst they go through to realize they do love one another.
What I love best about these stories is the magical world Hayley Faiman has created.

I love Liv and Aaric they had an adventurous road but prevailed and their love was beyond compare. This is a fun adventure with a lot of biking thrown in which is perfect and I can’t wait to see about the next sister and her new kingdom!

    Rating: 4.5 Stars

At the beginning of the book you’ll see how much work the author has done to create the world for this series. The author then shows how she created the prophecy. It’s a quiet statement for a series that will grab your attention.

Liv sets us up with a mystery surrounding one of her sisters. That should give you a hint that if you haven’t read Bride of the Traitor yet you should. Aaric wants more out of life. Sometimes that can be hard when you’re the man in charge.

Our adventure starts almost from the beginning. Is it fantasy? Is it historical? Where are these characters taking us and is it a ride you really want to end? Liv was a great reminder of when I read my first time travel story. Even though the stories have changed a lot since that book, the author gave me back that feeling. It’s a story of possibilities and a lot of creativity. And I loved seeing that world through Liv’s eyes.

The only issue i had was that the “words and phrases” the author so kindly put at the beginning isn’t something that I can’t print off my e-reader so that I have a quick guide I can look at. I didn’t want to toggle back and forth because I felt that it would take away from my enjoyment of the story. This is not a tame story so expect a lot of steam heat between our main characters. Our author left me wanting to “step” right into the next book of this great series but she’s gives us a pleasant little surprise that left me frowning because now I don’t know when the next book is coming out.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

I wasn’t sure what to make of this book before I started reading but omg I’m so glad I did! It was absolutely brilliant! There was so much action but the story flowed effortlessly.
I do have a confession, I did read this book before Bride of a Traitor but these books can be read as a standalone. I did immediately 1-click the first book as soon as I finished this one and can’t what for the next one I. The series!

This series just keeps getting better and better, I just didn't want it to end. Hayley sucks you in with her imagination and her alpha men and aarick is a definite alpha hole but Liv can handle him . I love the short story at the end with seeress and quest, but I was absolutely gutted about gunner, maybe the gods can do something. Never say never right? I hope the wait isn't to long for the next book in the series 😍😍😍😍
