She knows things can never be perfect in a relationship, at least not outside of books, which is why the pen name of Haven Rose was created, allowing readers, such as herself, to escape into a world where problems are easily solved, love is instant and true, and the story is always safe.

    I loved this book so much, this is the second time I've read it in less than 3 months, it that enjoyable to read.
    I love this couple, their individual story Of what makes them perfect for eachother is deep, has an emotional impact that doesn't overwhelm, but rather hums through it, so although they both have experienced sad things in their lives, those thing don't read as sad because them counting together and what they do together moving forward is love created... If that makes any sense to anyone I'd be surprised, but anyway I don't know how to describe it better ha.

    I have a language "disability", so perhaps I identify with some undercurrent themes or characteristics in this story, but I can't image not still living it even if I didn't personally identify on some level .. It's just a uniquely happy story that makes me smile and want more!
    I'll be looking out for Cyrus's buddy's books hopping the characters will make appearances as secondary rolls as they go along.😁

I cannot wait to read each of these hero’s stories.

    This is my first read from this author. I am happy I gave this book a go. It popped up in recommendations for me, so I said why not. I'm usually the first to give a book one to two stars for a lot of inner thoughts instead of dialog, but it worked for this story. This is a 3.5 star for me. I will definitely come back to read some of Mrs. Rose's books.

    I devoured this book. Haven sure knows how to pushh your buttons and this book gave me all kind of feels. A beautiful love story about two soul mates meeting each other, a misunderstood veteran and a woman with a heart of gold, each "healing" the other.
    I adored Landry, with her sunny attitude, she managed to get Cyrus out of his shell and boy did he, these two were perfect for each other. I hated Landry's parents, good thing we don't get to see much of them in the book, but hey, at least she turned out all right. All around a very good read, I recommend it!

    I really enjoyed this one. Cyrus can only be heard by the lowest whispers after an ambush while in the military. He chooses to keep people at an arm's length but he didn't count on the unexpected arrival of his neighbours' daughter. Landry is back in town after finishing college and can't resist the pull she feels from the mysterious Cyrus. Little does she knows that when she finally gets through to the real man, her life will change forever. Great plot, likeable characters and oh so sweet epilogue. Highly recommended
