See Me After Class Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 9,663 ratings

From USA Today bestselling author of A NOT SO MEET CUTE comes a brand-new romantic comedy about a grumpy English teacher who is tested by the new, sunshine teacher in his department. Mr. Darcy vibes with a Pride and Prejudice epic ending. Incredibly steamy and hilarious.

"Did you have relations with my brother . . ."

Good question. I’d like to preface this by saying it was never my intention to ever get involved in a workplace romance, let alone get involved with the most surly, agitating, and pompous man I’ve ever met who just so happens to be my new friend’s brother.

My intentions were to show students how English and reading books could actually be fun and make a new life for myself in the suburbs of Chicago.

But so far, I’ve managed to be called into the principal’s office. Coerced into participating in the teacher's badminton league. And instigated into passionate fights with Arlo Turner over education and decorum while losing my underwear at the same time.

Known as Mr. Turns Me On, he’s the reason I might get fired from my first ever teaching job.

See Me After Class
This book is JOY. These characters are JOY. This storyline is JOY. Every word is JOY. Let me tell you guys, See Me After Class is a top of a top of a top read for me right now. My review is ridiculous because it just says the book is JOY and go read it, but it is important people understand, sometimes, less is more. This is 2020. When I say something is JOY, you’d best believe it is all that and a bag of Lay’s Lightly Salted Barbecue chips. So, I need millions of people to experience this JOY because 2020 has been a joy sucker thus far and I am DONE with that. Meghan has done her part by writing the story, now you do your part and READ THIS BOOK. DO.IT. Seriously.

Greer is a new teacher just out of school, fresh with exciting new teaching methods and plans. Arlo is a more seasoned teacher who sticks to lectures and boring plans. At first, they're constantly at one another's throat, to the point where Greer enlists help from fellow teachers to plan a series of pranks that push Arlo to the edge of insanity. When Arlo finds out, he let's his anger morph into angry list and keeps Greer on the edge of HER insanity with devastating encounters that belong in the bedroom but occur anywhere but.
Finally they hash things out and fall in love, but when Arlo's evaluation (written during the fighting times) comes out and nearly costs Greer her new job, he's got to come up with something amazing to win her back.
Also, Arlo had a troubled childhood but one counseling session helps him fundamentally change his ability to open up and be intimate. Overall, not the best read, but it is pretty adorable.

4.5 stars...on the weaker edge of five.

I loved the first 3/4 of this read. Arlo is the perfect specimen alpha hottie and whew he’s the poster child for cardigan wearing, sweaty palm, seat squirming **fans face** hotness. The back and forth banter, the pure ‘oh yes baby, command me’ is off the charts hot.

The love/hate and pranks are stellar. Actually all the characters are amazing. Plus if I’d had an English teacher who could fill out a desk chair like Arlo I’m certain I’d speak like a cretin and write in some unknown foreign language.

He’s so very drool worthy. This is a very swoony read and checks all the boxes for a great romantic book but when it come to Meghan’s books I’ve come to expect a certain level of angst and that one moment where you gasp before saying ‘oh no’.

There is an oh crap moment and it’s a doozy but the quick switch in Arlo from d-bag with a stick up his bum to bookboyfriend gold is a tad too abrupt. (Just for me. This is all how the book rattled around in my head.)

Plus I love it when Meghan hits me with the gap. I’m sure most people hate it when she puts years between when a couple falls and when they pull it back together. I. Love. It. And TBH have come to expect it which is my bad because she’s free to change it up all she wants and she does.

So that 1/2 a star loss is all on me and my expectations.

There is a fabulous group of characters here. Some you’ll remember from other well loved Quinn reads and a handful of newbies. I’m hoping Stella and Keeks gets their own HEA though I’m not sure I could handle Keiko for an entire novel although her brash literal honesty is part of what makes this book awesome.

There are some seriously epic lovin, touchin, squeezin scenes in this baby. It will activate the reptile brain! (You have to read it to get that reference.)

Another great reading escape from one of my favorite authors!

My ultimate, die-hard, can’t-get-enough-of-it, favorite romance trope is enemies-to-lovers, and I’ve been reading so much this year that a lot of my top authors were recommending this book. I decided to finally take the plunge and read my first Meghan Quinn book. I am SOOOOOO glad I finally did! This was one of my top reads of 2020!!! (And I read over 200 books this year). It was sizzling hot, raw chemistry, thick rip-your-clothes off tension during heated arguments that I simply devoured and can’t get enough of! Wooo weeee was it good!! Let me get to the plot of the book!

Greer interviews for a job, a job at a prestigious, top notch school that has high expectations not only of their athletic program, but especially of their academic standards. In the interview, there is a voice in the back contradicting Greer’s philosophy of teaching. She didn’t know it at the time, but that voice belonged to the hot-as-sin and grumpy-as-f Arlo. She gets the job and she’s excited to start the school year right- with the exception of having Arlo be her classroom wall neighbor. He’s also the head of the English department, which Greer just took a spot in (side note, I’m also an English teacher, so I was LOVING this aspect of the book 🥰👏🏻).

On the first day of school, Greer Wants to establish great rapport with her students, but by doing so, she’s being too loud for Arlo. Arlo likes the traditional teaching style of lecturing at the front of the classroom, the type of style we are mostly used to in classrooms. Whereas Greer wants to take a more modern, untraditional approach to teaching yet still wants to heavily influence her students’ perspectives, motivation, and understanding of literature and education, he wants to stick with what has been working for centuries. When he goes to her classroom at lunch to confront her, sparks start flying. I knew right then and there that I was going to be consumed by this book just by this interaction between them. They argue, they bicker, they don’t see eye-to-eye on many things, yet there is this undercurrent attraction on both ends.

OH MY GOD THE PRANKS HAD ME DYINGGGG!!! 💀😂 I was literally snorting, cackling, crying, and coughing so much from how hard I was laughing!!! I looooooved them!!!!!Omg thank you Meghan Quinn for all of this!

Back to the book... when Arlo finds out that Greer was behind the pranks, not only was he pissed off, but he was intimidating in a sexy, I’m-going-to-get-back-at-you way. When Greer confronts Arlo, he pushes back, but this time, touching is involved and his alpha, cockiness comes out in the most delicious way! He had my heart rate spiking along with Greer’s!! Whenever these two were alone, the visceral attraction between them came out and, damn, was it hot! Keep in mind, they still “hate” each other, but can’t help themselves (which is exactly what I LOOOOVE in enemies-to-lovers books!). I was panting with how 🔥🔥🔥it was! I swear, if my kindle could melt, the sexy times between these two would’ve done it!

Oh and I fell in love with all of the secondary characters! Yes the book is about Arlo and Greer but I was so invested in all the other characters. I really hope that there will be books on all of them because I will one-click so fast my wallet will not know what hit it LOL.

Arlo and Greer need to figure out what their future entails. Arlo has intimacy issues that stem from his childhood. So many things happen in this book. Ugh! I didn’t want it to end!

    HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

This has to be Meghan best book yet.
If you're the kind of person that doesn't like to LOL in public while reading this book, don't read this on the bus to work. Funny, i laughed so much and swooned, boy this is swoon worthy!
While Arlo and Greer's story was a good one, funny, swoony etc i felt parts of it needed more time spent on them but i want a great storyline with the sexy romantic parts.. not just the sexy bits.
    I really like this book

The extra epilogue probably didnt need to be an extra bit, it wasnt long enough or exciting enough for the extra effort it took to fill in the info, confirm the email, down load it, i could have lived without it since Meghan already had my email address!
