Separation Anxiety (Travis County Legal Book 3) Kindle Edition
An Ownerless Dog
And the Man That Could Make Them a Family
Max Cooper's first solo run to a bar without his long-term wingman didn't go so well.
Actually, that was probably the understatement of the year. It was a disaster.
If it hadn't been for the handsome stranger stepping in, he might not have made it out of that bar.
Unfortunately, just making it home wasn't the end. Now the psycho from the bar was stalking him. The bad news was he had no proof, or witnesses, to back him up.
He was on his own.
Max didn't like the new feeling of insecurity, so decided to do something about it. Get a dog. A big one.
The problem with his plan? His dog had issues of his own.
Separation Anxiety is a slow burn MM Gay Mystery Romance and the third book in the Travis County Legal Series. It has a happily ever after ending and no cliffhanger.

About the author

Avery J. Moon began life as a straight-laced, extremely shy girl. Well, actually, she began life as a baby and grew into a straight-laced, extremely shy girl.
Things changed a bit when she hit High School, because that's when she discovered the wonderful world of romance novels. From that very first book, she was hooked. Of course she had her favorites-- the ones that made her heart race and brought color to her cheeks.
Who would have ever believed that the shy little girl she once was would grow up to write hot and steamy erotic scenes in her very own romance books?

- Reviewed in the United States on March 29, 2018I read this one first by accident, but it was worth it to read again, now that I know who all the people are. Samson really steals your head too.
If possible, read these books in order. If not, they are great as stand alone too.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2018I actually liked the mystery in this book the best of all the in the series, but I never really connected with either Jake or Max.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 24, 2018With his best friends pairing up, Max feels all alone. He just needs a night out, right? Sadly, it’s by himself. So of course, the man that shows an interest isn’t the kind that Max wants to spend time with. He’s glad there was someone there to rescue him when the guy wasn’t going to let him leave. To bad he’s so scared that he can’t take the time to say thanks or get his rescuer’s phone number.
Jake’s in the same boat as Max. His best friends have paired up as well. He decided a night out is the ticket too. To bad he’s just a tad to late to show his interest in the cute guy with the motorcycle. Another guy has already sat down at his table. The least he can do is help the cutie out when it appears he’s having problems with the other guy. After the cutie escapes, it’s another night alone for Jake.
When a someone starts stalking Max, he needs to figure out how he can protect himself. That includes getting a dog. Good thing he knows someone, who knows someone that might have a dog. Lucky for all of them, Jake and Max get to meet again. And Max get a dog, because the dog, Samson needs a new home after the death of his former master.
Beautiful, sweet story. Well written and nicely paced. The stalker element was just the right amount of intrigue and angst without over shadowing the building romance. Loved both Max and Jake. This is book three in the series, but it does standalone. But it’s a great, fun and easy reading series, so read them all.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 31, 2018But it could have been better. The story line was quite thin in places where maybe it should not have been. There were details alluded to concerning Maynard which the reader never learned. Character development also was sparsely supplied.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 27, 2018This was a very good story in the Travis County Legal series. Jake and Max were so sweet and cute. It was a save the day moment when they met and neither thought they would see each other again. But they did, thanks to a German shepherd that needed a home. There was a bit of drama with a stalker, but it was resolved. We also got to hear from some old friends from the first two books. It's a feel good story that I enjoyed a lot.

Kindle Edition
Max has a stalker, so one of his friends suggest getting a dog for company and protection. Enter Samson, you will love Samson. Enter Jake, dog trainer to K-9 units, he needed to find Samson a home, Max needed a dog. Jake plus Samson equals Max and Samson. Surprising Max realizes that Jake actually saved Max from his stalker once. Max falls in love with Samson at first glance, and he falls in lust with Jake at first glance also. Max discovers that Samson has a teeny tiny, problem. Samson suffers very badly from Separation Anxiety, Since Max can’t take Samson everywhere, he calls Jake for help. Max and Samson need Jake. And Jake needs Samson and Max. They just need to believe in themselves and have the courage to find their HEF. Sweet, caring, both Samson and Jake and Max. Since this is book three in the series, I am going to have to go back and get books one and two. You don’t have to have to read in order, but this book was so good. I just want to go back and enjoy the others. Let’s hope the author continues the series, I want more.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 23, 2018This is my favorite book in this series so far! It is beautifully written, fast-paced and full of surprises. I love Samson and how well his issues are portrayed by the author and dealt with by Max and Jake. He is a lovely dog that is having a hard time dealing with the death of his owner. Max is the perfect person to help Samson and he needs him to help deter his stalker. Jake is happy to meet Max again and to find a great home for Samson. They are attracted to each other even before they meet properly and once they spend time together Max and Jake discover that they are perfect together. This is definitely a slow burn romance with a great ending. I can't wait to read the next book in this excellent series.
I was given an ARC to review by the author.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 30, 2018Max is feeling all alone because all of his friends have been pairing up so he decides to have a night out by himself. Jake is also feeling alone and decides to go out by himself. Jake ends up rescuing Max from a guy that wouldn't leave him alone but then Max escapes. When Max needs to get a dog for protection because of a stalker, in comes Jake, a K-9 trainer, with Samson who needs a home. Max takes Samson but when Samson starts having separation anxiety, Max has to call Jake for help. Their attraction and chemistry are sizzling and with a cutie like Samson bringing them together, can they really resist. It's a sweet romance with a little mystery of a stalker.
