Iona Jenkins worked as a teacher before changing career to become a counsellor/ psychotherapist, mentor and life coach with both young people and adults in London. Her love of nature developed during her own imaginative childhood in a Yorkshire village. Growing up in a mining family, the young Iona loved exploring, discovering special places in all seasons and finding new creative ideas amongst the woods, fields, streams and even colliery wasteland in the countryside around her home. Today, Iona lives and writes amongst the magical landscapes of Wales. She published the Unicorn Gate, the first Toby and Daisy adventure in the Legends of Lumenor trilogy and this novel The Sheltering Stars is the second one in the same series.
