Calico shifter Kat Gataki has a plan. All she has to do is swipe the key to the underworld so she can get down to Elysium and apologize to her sister for being a royal witch with a capital B.
It should be a piece of cake for a trained cat burglar like herself, but there’s one slight problem. The owner of said key happens to be Hermes…as in…the smoldering hot god from Olympus.
And no one steals from the god of thieves.

About the author

USA Today Bestselling Author Carrie Pulkinen (pronounced PULL-kin-in) has always been fascinated with things that go bump in the night. Of course, when you grow up next door to a cemetery, the dead (and the undead) are hard to ignore. Pair that with her passion for writing and her love of a good happily-ever-after, and becoming a paranormal romance author seems like the only logical career choice.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 4, 2021Sign Steal Deliver was a great read! I knew it was going to be good, because honestly anything of Carrie Pulkinen's is going to be great. I'm used to vampires and shifters from Pulkinen, and while one of the main characters in this book was a shifter, it was so interesting to read a book about the Greek gods in a modern day world. I was very impressed with this book. The humor was also spot on. I can't wait to read the next installment to this series and can only hope it's as good as this one was!

Katherine Gataki is a calico shifter and an actual real life cat burglar. When her sister Cam died last year, she promised her she would not steal anymore and so now works for NOGS, New Orleans Ghostal Service making deliveries. Her deliveries usually entail some sort of danger but they also give her extra money. Kat has no idea that her next delivery will put her face to face with the Gods from Olympus and finally give her the chance she has been praying for to enter the Underworld, find Elysium and ask her sister for forgiveness.
Hermes is the God of Thieves and when he first saw Kat, she was stealing a wallet out of an obnoxious young man’s pocket. What are the chances that he will see a woman that he feels attracted to and she, like him, is a thief? Hermes was asked to deliver a check to Medusa who is now overseeing the Underworld while Hades is living up top but he refuses since they are in New Orleans on vacation. It was his idea to call NOG only because there is a problem Kat cannot possibly get to her destination on time giving Hermes the chance to be a hero. Since he is also the God of Speed, who better to accompany her and get her there in time than him.
The delivery is on time and it places her at the door to the Underworld and guess who has the key, you are right none other than Hermes. Now Kat has to figure out a way to get Hermes’ caduceus from him, not stealing, borrowing lol. She will enter the Underworld, find her sister and finally get rid of the guilt that has plagued her since Cam died. The night she died she had asked Kat to get her locket from the car but it was raining and Kat was tired and she said things she didn’t mean and Cam died without the locket.
Well does the cat burglar out trick the God of Thieves, not for me to say. Is there a chance for a relationship between a God and a Cat Burglar once again I won’t say? What I will say is that this book came at a time when a good laugh was very needed and I got it in spades. Olympus is closed, the Gods are living in Seattle and are a motorcycle club and they are still immortal and have their magic but can’t help causing a little trouble. Hermes revealed secrets to Kat that could cost her life but what fun watching as the two get into trouble and fight to get out of it.

There are twelve Greek Gods. They no longer live on Mt. Olympus, they are retired and live in Seattle, Washington. Now they are going on vacation to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. New Orleans honors the gods with floats and parades. Seems like a perfect place to relax and party. The Gods all belong to a Motorcycle Club called the Gods of Thunder MC.
Arriving in New Orleans for a two-week long, the Gods are installed in a two-story mansion. Hades forgot to pay Medusa and needs a messenger to deliver the payment. If Medusa does not get paid, she could quit and let souls escape the Underworld. Hermes the trickster messenger of the Gods is retired. They retain the services of the New Orleans Ghostal Service (NOGS) to deliver the payment.
Meet Kathryn Gataki, a half-human calico cat shifter. Hired to take a payment to Medusa and the gate to the Underworld. Kat and Hermes meet. There is an instant attraction. Kat desperately wants to get to the Elysium Fields to see her sister. She feels guilty that she left an unfulfilled task when her sister passed. She could use Hermes to get to her sister. All she has to do is steal his caduceus. But wow, he is so hot. Could she steal from him and betray the feelings they both have? Stealing the caduceus was easy, holding on to it was not and it falls into Pan’s hands. Now Hermes must get the caduceus or Zeus and Hades will harm Kat.
A cat burglar stealing from the God of Thieves? This book was a lot of fun. The Olympic Gods are on Earth and walk amongst us. There is a scary voodoo bokor, satyrs, vampires, Greek Gods, parades, dancing and drinking all in New Orleans. What could go wrong? This author brings the steam with the unfolding relationship between Hermes and Kat. The part where Hermes gives Kat a dish of cream where she gets terrible cramps and horrendous gas is laugh out loud funny.
I want more NOGS! I highly recommend this book and I’ll be checking out all the others in this series!

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Brilliant
This was an absolutely brilliant book. Full of fun and romance with steamy scenes to tantalize the reader. Hermes, the God of thieves along with his other God friends, (who now live on earth), are on holiday in New Orleans. There he meets the lovely calico cat shifter, Kat who just happens to be a thief, like him. Working for a paranormal delivery service she is sent to pick up a letter for delivery to Medusa in the Underworld. He ends up going with her and this is when she finds out about his caduceus, his key to the underworld. Ever since her sister died she has been wracked with guilt about not getting her sister's necklace from the car and that night she died without it. If she could steal the key then she could meet her sister and give her the necklace. But as with all best laid plans it goes awry. She gets kidnapped by Pan who has a grudge against Hermes. But it does eventually work out but not without some real laugh out loud moments and anxiety for our two lovers. Carrie Pulkinen is simply superb at writing this type/style of story.
This book is part of the Gods of Thunder MC Series where there are different authors writing the individual books that make up the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Omgs I loved it
If you want a fun witty romantic comedy story that's got Hot Greek gods than this book is for you. I didn't know what to expect when I started reading this book as it is my first from this author. I loved it. The writing style is so good. The story is so well written. The romance is there is spades and our hero is so swoon worthy who would've thought a Greek god could have such a sweet persona. Him and Kat were a perfect match.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hermes
I enjoyed this and found it to be a fun read.
When Hermes, God of thieves persuades the othe Gods and Goddesses to attend Mardi Gras he gets more than he bargained for when he meets Kathryn or Kat who is a cat shifter and also an ex thief. Hermes falls for her quickly but is soon crushed when it looks like she had ulterior motives in getting to know him. Will he forgive her and accept her explanation?
I'm working my way through this series, not in any particular order as they can be read in any order and independent of each other. This was one of my favourites so far, with humour and misunderstandings galore but it all comes right in the end

5.0 out of 5 stars Besting the god of thieves
Sign, Steal, Deliver is part of the Gods Of Thunder Universe, where various authors all write about an individual character. It's a stand alone novel, but it's fun to read about the other characters too!
Carrie Pulkinen has done it again, another great, humorous and steamy book! Bonus for the setting being in New Orleans!
Hermes, the God of thieves is on holiday with the other gods and meets Kat, a calico cat shifter.
Kat, being an ex-thief herself, cannot resist in trying to steal Hermes' caduceus to rid herself of the guilt she feels when her sister died.
Hermes being bested by a mortal?
The attraction between the 2 is imminent from the start and in typical Carrie -style the book is well written, the characters well developed and funny to say the least. I had to laugh so many times and was gripped from the very beginning.
Highly recommended book with twist and turns, revelations, old quarrels and plenty of love to go around!
