Silent Knight (Blackhaven Manor Book 7) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 1,023 ratings

Being part siren isn’t exactly a secret, but it’s not something Simon Russel likes to advertise, either. He’s not ashamed of who he is or anything so dramatic as that. But people tend to treat him differently once they realize he can manipulate their emotions. Just once, he wishes someone could see him and not the demon within.

Enter Archer Knight, a former Enforcer, and the newest guard at Blackhaven Manor.
Forced into retirement after a poorly executed mission leaves him damaged and disfigured, Archer figures he has a right to be a little bitter. With his scarred face and surly attitude, he’s not going to win any popularity contests, which suits him just fine, or so he tells himself.

Until he meets Simon.

A not-so-chance encounter, several misguided but well-meaning intentions, and one awkward family get-together later—his solitary life just became a lot more crowded.

And complicated.

Full content visible, double tap to read brief content.

Arden writes steamy m/m paranormal romance filled with fangs, mischief, and reluctant fated mates—because happily ever afters are best served with a side of chaos.

A true romantic at heart, she’s drawn to the tragically beautiful and the beautifully broken—those flawed men and the stories that make them heroes.

She’s been writing since she could hold a crayon and a juice box but has since upgraded to slightly more sophisticated tools. (And traded the juice boxes for an unhealthy amount of coffee).

When she’s not writing, she’s either lost in a good book or bingeing true crime podcasts—because nothing says romance author like an encyclopedic knowledge of murder.

Another very cute book, this one is a (slightly) grumpy/sunshine couple with Simon and Arthur. Simon’s energy is just so infectious, I was smiling a good portion of the book!

M/M, new relationship, explicit, disabled character. I read this book as Spring was just starting, but I still got in the holiday spirit. Simon and his family's love of the holiday is infectious. I loved their attempts to get Archer into the spirit. I also loved Simon's struggles to deal with a huge family. The bedtime scene was precious.

I appreciated that Archer had a disability, but I wish they'd examined his attempts to communicate more. There's a few references to ASL, but mostly we get Simon and Archer's mind link. I find paranormals with serious injuries/disabilities fascinating, especially when it's explained why they didn't heal, like this one does.

There was a reference to events in a prior book I hadn't read yet, but it didn't take me out of the book.

    A thoroughly enjoyable read.

I have read all 7 books of blackhaven I loved them all.they were all filled with live and happiness and so much joy. I laughed at their antics and cried at some of the very touching lovely moments I loved the entire series and I will probably read it again next Christmas 🎄. I wish you'd come out with a story about the prince finding his mate he was in a few of the books and I think his book would be fabulous. The way u pictured was wow what a beautiful elf. I would love to be his mate. Alas I live in the real world but I love escaping into the world u have created in your books I give your books 5 plus stars kudos to u keep up the great work and if by any miracle we could really go there and live in your created reality sign me up. Of course I would have to have a mate and live forever in his arms 💙

This story was… okay, I guess? A very light quick read for the holiday season but, unlike the other books in this series, there is no other plot besides the relationship between the two main characters.

I gave it 5 stars because of the plot line and the couple themselves. Love at first sight anxiety attacks and a love of Christmas. There is something for everyone in this book. A hyper siren, a grouchy snow leopard. A seriously funny family. I loved it. It's a must read.

Rather more straight forward than the other books of this series, this book is a lovely little light piece of holiday romance and fluff!

Simon is so minimally supernatural that he doesn't really mention it and he definitely didn't think he had a mate. When it turns out he does it is a surprise but also a delight. Archer is recently retired and a bit bitter about it, so being mated is a surprise for him as well. Finding a man who doesn't fear him after his accident, with a family that openly accepts him is a joy. Together the two men have a promise of future and happiness. A sweet and holiday themed read it was uncomplicated but joyful!

This was the Christmas season book in the series and a bit shorter again. The characters are sweet and their story nice, but I missed some depth. However, it is a lovely holiday season book with a sweet romance and lovely characters. 💚
