    Holy cats! I love this book so much. I've read it over and over. I'm pretty sure my Kindle app is going to get stuck on one of the pages in this book. This is a super steamy, medium-burn, contemporary, menage a trois romance. The main characters are a married couple (Hayley and Gabe) and the husband's new client (Brent). When Gabe develops feelings for his client, it takes him - and everyone else - by surprise, but his wife supports him in all things, including exploring his new interest.

    There are also a couple of funny moments. I always laugh when Gabe and Hayley visit Brent's house in the suburbs. I'm not sure if the name of the manor was supposed to be another name for a... um... firm body part, but it gets me every single time.

    One of the reasons I can't get enough of this story is that there is no cheating. There's also a lot of character development, and the people make the story. While the climax is a courtroom drama, it still feels emotionally satisfying because of the relationships and emotional turmoil.

    Of course, the biggest reason why I adore this story is the gloriously graphic, decadently debauched, super steamy sexiness. The smexy scenes are seriously hot, I mean white-hot, brain-tingling, spine-sizzling, toe-curling scenes.

    An inappropriately long hug goes out to these characters, and maybe some hands in odd places.

    If I could give this book 100 stars I would. If you enjoy menages w/a twist, this is your book. It's similiar to Harlem's GLASS KNOT w/Josh, Nick & Laura, except GK is Josh & Nick as a "gay" couple & Laura (hetro) added to the mix.

    SILK TIE is a deliciously slow moving, complex tale of a hetro couple, Gabe & Hayley (both lawyers) celebrating 10 years married (D.I.N.Ks... double income, no kids) when Gabe meets a male client who turns his world upside down when his mind & body start traveling in a new & foreign direction.

    At 250+ pages, Harlem takes the time to turn the hetro couple deeply loving & committed into a come-true fantasty for Gabe; then Hayley & then the couple. The journey takes you through the process of how the couple transforms into a trio & why it seems to make perfect sense.

    Be warned, there is TONS OF HEAT of both the m/m; m/f AND m/f/m kind. So if any of those groupings make you uncomfortable, this is not the book for you. Me..... my usual fare is hot & heavy m/f... but this was so tenderly done, I enjoyed every page. It even made me wonder if the traditional M/F is always the right pairing, & THAT took me totally by surprise!

    This is one of the hottest books I have ever read, I could not put it down I had to when I was working. Lily Harlem can certainly write steamy novels no problem she makes her characters come alive and the descriptions are very good it is like you know them. This was a threesome which you did not want to end, both Gabe and Brent were two strong Alphas and Haley was a sweet gal wanting to make her husband and her friend happy. What a neat story the romance, sex and eroticism were all in this book. You must read.

    I want to rate this higher, because LH does write a beautiful, steamy story, and invests more emotionally in her characters than most authors writing MMF. It’s a tricky genre, because does it ever feel fair? Especially when we have an existing couple, and a third party comes into play?
    Perhaps I’m more comfortable with three people falling for each other, simultaneously, rather than playing with the fire that is one half of a couple falling in love with someone else. And that’s what happens here. Hayley pushes the limit and Gabe falls, and it feels as though she has no choice but to fall with him. But we’re led to believe their love is this unshakable thing, so what if Hayley hadn’t been so intrigued by Gabe’s feelings for Brent? Would she have lost Gabe to Brent? Gabe says it himself - he’s selfish. He betrays their marriage. One is left feeling very uncertain of whom Gabe would choose if forced to.
    But luckily, this is an erotic novel, so we don’t have to. We are treated to a great deal of MF, MM, MMF, MFM, and some intriguing flip action, and a pretty good story on its way to HEA.
    ** if you read Glass Knot first - that story is told from the perspective of the “other woman” getting involved between a married gay male couple. This is told from the perspective of a married woman who “allows” her husband to explore his feelings for another man.

    Another beautiful and heartfelt menage romance by Ms Harlem! This one introduces us to happily married couple Gabe and Hayley - they are madly in love, and have an amazing sex life - so why is Gabe fantasizing about another guy? As his friendship with Brent grows, so do these feelings and his confusion.

    Hayley is a lawyer, used to reading body language every day in court, and she knows her husband well enough to know something is going on. Their relationship is based on a foundation of trust, so when she tries to get him to open up about it, she's surprised when his words don't match his body language - someone is in denial!

    The story progresses naturally as Hayley meets Brent and gets to see the chemistry between him and her husband. The interest is definitely mutual. But they won't act on it without her blessing, and the rule is that she has to be there so she isn't torn up imagining what might have happened - a proposal that she's surprisingly interested in agreeing to. But is one encounter enough, or is there more growing between the 3 of them?

    Beautiful story as usual - the love that grows between them is evident, as is the trust and care. I loved the epilogue which was set 2yrs down the track as well. The plotlines about their court cases were also well written and flowed nicely with the overall storyline.

    If you're looking for a hot read that focuses on love and respect over lust, but still had that chemistry, then look no further than The Silk Tie!

    In my opinion it was good, however, not as good as the first book, both being a stand alone, I really liked Brent, but I just went off Gabe, I couldn't warm up to him again, I thought Hayley was completely sweet and selfless, I won't give anything away, but as you can see, I struggled with the characters, namely one Gabe!

While Gabe is safe in his relationship with his wife Hayley there's an attraction he can't escape. So it starts out as an MM duo & develops into a MMF.
