      The Silken Edge is the first book in the Silken Edge Series and my first book by Laci Paige, and all I have to say is this book was OMG AMAZING. I started reading, and I couldn’t put it down. It kept me captivated from the first sentence to the last; I just had to keep reading to find out what happened next. I loved all of the twists and turns. I loved seeing BDSM through the eyes of a woman who is completely convinced that she isn’t into kink, only to find out that not only is she into it but that she is a switch also. I loved how Jake / Master Jay has to get used to dealing with his feelings and I loved getting to see him struggle with them. I loved their vanilla week and especially the scene where Kristy is a Dom for the first time with Jake. I would definitely recommend this book. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

      I would have given it a 5 star but I personally don't like reading in third person & I kinda got confused to who (sorta POV) was being spoken sometimes since there isn't a distinct lable as I'm used to in other books.

      Overall, I absolutely LOVED the story with the exploration and growth that took place. I definitely got extremely mushy at the end of the epilogue. My heart just melted! Gah :)

      For anyone looking to learn a little about the community, this is a nice read to start the exploration on before diving into the internet. I absolutely love reads like this.

      Thank you for writing this and I'm excited to continue with the series :)

      I absolutely loved this book. I picked it up when it was free, and didn't put it down until I was done. There are quite a few twists and turns in the story and I needed to know what was going to happen next! I wish there was a second book out in the Silken Edge series so I could get lost in it all over again. Spoilers below!

      Jake has had his eye on Kristy for a long time. Just out of a relationship, Kristy decides to take Jake up on his offer to be her personal trainer. Throughout the book, Jake was constantly trying to hide his attraction to Kristy which made him all the more lovable. Everyone around them knew he had it bad, but she didn't seem to pick it up until someone flat out told her he was head over heels. Kristy's friend is in the BDSM scene and believes Kristy is submissive, but Kristy resists. They make a bet that her friend can prove she is submissive in one experience in the scene. Enter Master Jay (Jake in disguise) who rocks Kristy's world. There is no turning back now. Kristy eventually connects the dots about Jake and Master Jay after Jake lets a nickname Master Jay uses slip.

      The second half of the book is about Jake and Kristy trying to make things work. The ball is in Kristy's court once she finds out Jake is interested. It is up to her to tell Jake how she feels. Kristy comes from a vanilla world and while she is interested in BDSM, she doesn't know how much of an impact she wants it to have on her life. Jake has been a top for as long as he can remember and he doesn't have any real relationship experience. They have to find an happy medium for both people to feel comfortable with the relationship. I love how both people grew and changed once challenged by each other. I also loved the group of people around them supporting their relationship. I hope we hear more about the supporting characters from JAke and Kristy's story!!

      Silken Edge by Laci Page was a good read, first book I finished on the same day I started reading in a long time. Story has juicy stuff; laughs, swoon-worthy confessions, very hot sexy moments as well. The beginning was a little slow, it still kept my attention though. The break-up part with Kristy and her live in boyfriend of a few years went way to smooth, it was just to unbelievable type of smooth.
      Kristy and Jake are a cute couple. The book needed more background on Kristy's crush for the much younger man Jake. Laci just went right into Jake and Kristy crushing for each other. The book had good parts and some awkward moments. Overall I did enjoy the book.

      I absolutely loved this book, first time I've read anything by Laci and I finished it in one go at 3am..The story focuses on Kristy and her 15yr younger man Jake. Jake has loved Kristy for 2yrs but kept away as she had a boyfriend and he was a Master Dom and was aware she didn't like the BDSM scene at all. After trying it one night with him masked up as Master Jay so she didn't know who he was she enjoyed herself and went back for more. Jake slips up and when she finds out she is furious thinking her friends and him have been lying to her, add in a younger woman, dealing with Kristys age gap worries, BDSM concerns and inability at times to talk to each other to prevent further misunderstandings. Eventually they get the happy ending they deserve. This is light BDSM not hardcore, and it flows with the story. I received a free copy in exchange for honest review. All books in the series can be read independantly, I can't wait to see how the other characters develop Roxi, Johnathon and Stan were my favourites.

      After her relationship with Steve has been ended by him, Kristy finds a new home by renting an apartment from Jake, her sexy Gym trainer - but he is way too young for her! Deciding to change her life and attitude, she decides to give her best friend Shelby's BDSM club a try, and is quite impressed by Master Jay who introduces her to the unknown.
      If you like, or don't mind, to read about BDSM, where the focus is not on wild "kinky" scenes, but on the protagonists and their development, their problems and struggles, then this is the book for you. I was pleasantly surprised to find characters with depth, realistic people and situations, and could not stop until I know how the story ended.
      Add to that a very good fluent narration style, and hardly any spelling errors, and you cannot go wrong.
      Now I have to get the sequel to this!
