WOW!!! 🖤🖤🖤🖤
FIVE SILVER STARS for Madison and Bishop 🖤🖤🖤🖤!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Why did it take me so long to pick up this book?!?!?! WOW!!! THIS BOOK IS TRUE MIND-BLOWING! Ever since I read "In Peace Lies Havoc", I knew that Amo has a unique writing style, but again, she managed to surprise me with her creativity. Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect from this book because I went into it blind. At first, it seemed like a typical dark high school bully romance, but as the story went on I knew this book was so much more. As I read, I kept trying to figure out all the secrets that were being mentioned throughout the book, but of course, I didn’t make it until the very end. "The Silver Swan" is a dark high school bully romance with enemies to lovers trope which will keep you awake all night until you get answers to questions that run through the entire book. Madison is a strong female character who shows her true face from the beginning by letting it be known that she doesn’t care about other people’s opinions. Ahh, Bishop... Bishop gave me a lot of headaches throughout the whole book and there were times when I really couldn’t stand him because of his behavior towards Madison. But there were also times when his behavior towards Madison was different which is why I believe he isn't a villain after all and that he truly cares about Madison. Madison and Bishop’s relationship is very complicated throughout the book. It experiences more downs than ups and eventually breaks into a thousand pieces. If you're looking for a mind-blowing book and you also love Amo's writing style, this is the book for you!!! Highly recommended!!! P.S. I can't wait to start reading "Broken Puppet"!!!

"I've tangled a web with the school bad boys, and now I have to unleash my claws to escape."

This book was straight up insane! Total minf**k! Dark, twisted, hot and, I loved it. I was hooked from page one and only got sucked in further with every page I read. So many questions!!! Author Amo Jones is new to me. A friend suggested this book and I'm so glad she did. This is the type of book I love because it stays with me. It has me trying to figure it out, coming up with theories as to what is actually going on and who the villains or heroes are in this book?! It is the kind of story you need to pay attention to, or you may miss something. It's the kind of cliffhanger I love and hate. Love because I'm anxiously waiting for book 2 to see what happens and if my ideas are correct; hate because I have to wait.

There are so many characters in this story and they are all important to the plot. The story focuses on our heroine Madison Montgomery, our heroes /anti-heroes, Bishop Vincent Hayes, Nate, Brantley, and the rest of the Elite Kings Club; Jase, Ace, Hunter, Cash, Saint, Eli, Abel and Chase. Phewww, that's a lot of testosterone! And from what we see, they are definitely pure male; gorgeous, arrogant and dangerous. Tillie and Tatum are friends of our heroine, who know more than they are telling. They may be the supporting characters in this book, yet, they are an integral part and completely enhance the story. Bishop, Nate, and Madison are the main characters here.

"Wrong answer, Madison, because you are my toy, and the last toy I had? Broke."

Bishop is quiet control. He is alpha and a leader but it's his presence that commands. He is sexy, arrogant and not very nice. So, of course, I love him. Nate reminds me of the college frat boy even though they are all still high school students. He's like the Abercrombie Fitch models in my head. He is Madison's new step-brother and he has many layers. Madison is beautiful, smart and strong, but, at the same time, she is a little flighty and doesn't always make the best choices. She's the new girl with a scandal that follows her. She was frustrating at times.

This book uses past /present but not in the usual flashback style. Our heroine, Madison, finds a book that intrigues her. It tells a supposed story from long ago. But is it? Pay attention to it because it may have clues to what is happening in the present with Madison and the guys. There's so much happening in this story. It's not a love story in the traditional sense at all. But there's definitely something more between Bishop and Madison than they care to admit. I love the push/ pull and sarcastic dialogue filled with innuendo. They have heat and chemistry. It's not pretty or sweet but it's definitely HOT.

"I look forward to watching you break in my very hands."

I can't stop talking about this book. The premise and overall feel is a 5 star for me but there were some things that seemed rushed and a little far fetched that were confusing or didn't make sense to me. That being said, I loved it and definitely recommend this book, especially if you like a story with a darker tone yet not with torture or graphic violence. The Silver Swan is filled with so many surprises and twists. There are so many secrets still left to uncover. I must've said WTF and OMG a thousand times. It is a thrilling page turner that had me from start to finish and beyond. That ending was crazy. Highly recommend, especially if you liked Corrupt by Penelope Douglas and Vicious by LJ Shen. I CANNOT wait for book 2.

“In this world, secrets are weapons, kitty. It’s what stands between us and six feet underground.”

Oh man was this book hot, dark and twisted… a complete mind f-! I loved every minute of it. I found myself gasping out loud, on the edge of my seat with my stomach twisting with butterflies at some of these scenes and revelations, that I just couldn’t put this book down. I was desperate to know more right away but Amo Jones definitely knows how to keep you waiting for those answers!

You jump into Madi's story as she starts over at a new school, not knowing anyone there… and she handles it like the kick a- girl she is.
After reading a little about what she’s been through in her life, I loved how strong and loyal her character was, although she was a little annoying at times and way too forgiving in her ways.
I enjoyed and absolutely loved her meeting with the Kings each and every time they appeared on the page. And oh boy what I wouldn’t give to get inside the heads of some of those guys! Holy hell they were all smoking hot… especially Bishop! *fans self*.

Even as I enjoyed the heck out of this book, I felt like the chapters jumped between scenes, or they were rushed through a little bit, or there were some scenes missing within these exchanges that would’ve been awesome to read in the story. I felt like there was quite a bit of background scenes that we didn’t get to see.
So even with these little inconsistencies that had me stopping and trying to figure out what’s happened or if I missed reading something that I had to go back a few pages, I still very much enjoyed the words that Amo weaved together and brought to life.
Give me the next book ASAP, especially after that ending… OMG!

I decided to give this a try because I found a girl on tiktok who recommended it. I had just gotten a kindle and didn’t really know where to start. What really intrigued me was the chapter art, it was dark and seemed rough around the edges. I won’t lie- the first book is really hard to stomach. It’s just really cliché. As I was reading it I was physically cringing. I’d read it around the house and my husband was in the same room as me, and even though he has no idea what I’m reading I was literally embarrassed.

I wasn’t sure I was going to stick with it. But I did, and I’m glad I did. I read the entire EKC series within a week and a half. I just couldn’t put it down. Once you get past this first book, you either become numb to the cliché-ness or maybe the writing gets better. I think it’s a mix of both. I do think the author is pretty all over with this first book and even the second, and third book. It can be hard to follow at times but as you go throughout the series it just sucks you in and all of a sudden you are determined to find out more of this world the author has created and what it all means. I remember being very frustrated with how vague the characters can be about the plotline. It was a lot of “you have no idea Madison” but literally NO explanation. And as a reader that becomes frustrating and almost makes it easy to tap out and think this isn’t going anywhere.

Well, I can promise you the storyline does go many places but you won’t get all the answers with this first book. In fact, you’ll be really unpleased by the end cause your just left with a million questions, slight embarrassment that you’re even interested in this book, but you have to know how it ends.

By the end of the series I was totally invested. I didn’t want it to end. I eventually branched over the the Midnight Mayhem series by the same author. I craved a similar story and figured sticking with the same author would be my best bet to satisfies that craving.

I will say, if you read all of the Elite Kings Club you have to read Midnight Mayhem. They go hand in hand. I won’t say anymore than that.

Overall I’m hooked. It’s worth sticking through some of the cringe and erratic storyline. I do think the authors writing gets better with each book. It’s like her vision for the plot really starts coming together and it’s worth sticking through the rough patches. A side note is all of the songs she adds through the series. I only listened to a few, but I found one that isn’t in the series at all but it fits this series, and midnight mayhem PERFECTLY. “In the middle of the night” by Elley Duhé. The remix by Loveless is also amazing. This song just fits ELC & Midnight Mayhem perfectly. If you finished either series listen to this song and see if you agree.

5.0 out of 5 stars An all consuming, gripping and quirky romance that'll leave you begging for more...
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on March 7, 2017
I was introduced to Amo Jones by Shannon (you'll get to know her a bit better as our guest reviewer very soon), who told me that - quote: 'You need to come to the dark side!' And screw me sideways, was she right? I haven't read any other of Amo's books, YET, but after The Silver Swan I plan on ravishing every single thing she's ever written. Most people know how much I love a dark romance. The more it torments me and makes me bleed the more I love it... I'm a masochist like that - but I also really enjoy that Gossip Girl type feel in books. Well, The Silver Swan delivered on all fronts. It's dark, like Richard Kelly (Donnie Darko) dark and angsty, Tarantino quirky, and Cecily Van Ziegesar (Gossip Girl) bantery. It's just the freaking BOMB! Like holy sexy poopballs frick!

The characters in this book are wowzers. Firstly, although the story is centred around Madi, you have two other main characters in the sexy Bishop and Nate. I classify them as main characters because they are a big part of the story like a leading male. Secondly, for 18 year olds these guys fuck like bulls on heat. She giggles as she types that... obviously. So mature. Thirdly, Amo has given us not one, not two, but a whole pack of delectable, angsty, sexy males. Yup, it's a definite male coma alert! Just thinking about Bishop has me blushing, squeeing and drooling. He's like a junior Talon Steel, Christian Grey and Gideon Cross all rolled into one. You're gonna get wet.

Anywho, getting myself together, character wise Amo Jones has created multifaceted - yet straightforward characters. What I mean by that is that although you peel back layers as the plot progresses (because the character development is tightly weaved into the plot), they are really well thought-out and mapped characters. Basically, the twists in the plot are what unravel the characters and they never lose their identity. This is really clever, because it keeps a fogginess as to where the plot is going. Bishop is alpha through and through, he's broody, angsty, his presence is felt throughout the entire book even though he isn't in every page - Bishop is the darkness. Now, Nate - polar opposite. Sure, he's got a darkness to him, but he's actually quite a soft character. Again, smart writing skills. The reason I say this is because Nate brings dry acrid humour to the plot to the point that he inserts this creepy heebie jeebies element to it. You following? I found this so intelligible and cunning on Amo's part because that unsettling feeling is what keeps you guessing. With Bishop you know there's trouble, with Nate you're kept guessing just what that trouble is. Clever, right? This is flawless character development.

Again, with Madi Amo has created such an intriguing and beguiling character. She's intelligent, but naive in a way that endears her to the reader. Her naivete is what keeps you turning the pages because you know she knows that all is not what it seems and although the answers are right under her nose and the readers nose you just can't put your finger on them. Her journey is the reader's journey. Such awesome use of character. Freaking BRILLIANT really. It's sort of like dramatic irony, only the reader doesn't actually know what is actually going on - like Madi. It's like a literary hustle. You then also have Tatum and Tillie, these are really secondary characters like the rest of the guys in the pack, however they are almost like reference points for Madi's character. They contrast and serve to bring out Madi's traits. Her interactions with them show different sides to her that you don't necessarily see through her interactions with Bishop and Nate. To me this is where that Gossip Girl feel comes in.

I've touched a little on the plot, however I don't want to dig too deep because the mystery of the plot is what makes this book a must read. You go in expecting one thing but every turn and intersection takes you somewhere different. Shannon and I have discussed this like batshit crazy fools because the cliffhanger really leaves you lost in the middle of nowhere with just one piece of the puzzle. Where is it going? How will it continue? Do you know what's even more fascinating about this? That even though you get to know the characters, by the end you're questioning who they are all over again. Biggest mind game ever... which, wait for it... is the plot of the story. Mind games - but are they really mind games?

The Silver Swan has left me like whooooooa... I need to read it again, because I want to make sure I didn't miss a thing. I want to read it again because it's ingenious. I want to read it again because it made me wet. I will be reading it again because... it's like a drug. I simply NEED MORE. So Amo, if you read this - give me a blurb and a cover for book 2, The Broken Puppet AfreakinSAP!

    Was weiß Miss Winters genau??

Ich liebe solche spannenden Auftakte, die einen einfach immer weiterlesen lassen. Ich konnte dieses Buch kaum aus der Hand legen.
Und ich bin jetzt schon #madship süchtig 😍😍

OMG!!!! This series is effing amazing!!!
I really love Madison 🤩😍 She knows what she wants, knows what she can handle and that is quite a lot if you ask me. Ok, sometimes the Kings irritate the sh*t out of her, but hey: who can blame her?? 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨
They are all amazing in their own way and I can‘t wait to get to know them all, but I love how her heart skips a beat, every time Bishop is only near 😍😍😍

Absolutely can’t wait to read the next books, because I have questions!!! So many questions…like…what is it, that only Sam knows about Madi? What is going on between Tillie and Nate??? What does Miss Winters know about the Kings Club?
    And many more…. 🤩🤩🤩

I love these kind of beginning’s in Bookseries 😍😍😍 pure excitement from Chapter 1 onwards 😍😍

Amo Jones is right when she says that this book is not like any other that I have read before. It hooked me in so much that I read it in one day and once I had finished I sat stunned trying to comprehend what i had read.

Amo Jones has written an amazingly twisted tale that captures the reader and does not them go. I fell in love with her characters that just kept becoming more complex as the story unfolded. As for the plot, it is one twist after another ending in a cliffhanger. So be warned and ready to pick up book two, the Broken Puppet.

Overall, a fantastic book that is a definite 5 star read. That said it is not for everyone. It is definitely a twisted walk on the dark side with themes that may upset some readers. So proceed with care, but those that do will not be disappointed.

The tension between Madison and Bishop? Utter fire. The push and pull, the forbidden undercurrent, and the slow unraveling of their connection is the kind of angst I absolutely LIVE for.

But fair warning: The Silver Swan isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s gritty, unrelenting, and unapologetically wild. The suspense will leave you breathless, and the cliffhanger? A straight-up killer.

This book is a wicked, tantalizing ride through the darker side of the elite, and if you love morally gray characters, dark romance, and edge-of-your-seat drama, this one will ruin you—in the best way possible. Five stars, no hesitation.
