I grew up watching westerns. From The Wild, Wild West to Bonanza; from Have Gun, Will Travel to Wanted Dead or Alive. This has the flair and the flavor of good old western television. There are no twists and turns here, just straight shootin' fun.
Six quick stories to fill in the gaps in my day, like turning on the tube to catch a quick episode before going to another meeting.
All in all, this author does westerns proud.

I was looking for a quick read, so I thought I'd try this title, even though westerns aren't my usual genre. On the whole, I enjoyed them. The tales read fast, evoking the gritty spirit of the Old West with dusty desert trails and grizzled gunfighters amid free-flying bullets. A few of the twists were a little obvious, and one or two of the endings didn't quite satisfy, but overall it's good.

The short stories were good, with an unexpected twist for an ending. Sort of like the old Alfred Hitchcock type books, but a western. I was hoping that the book had a few more stories.
