Six Weeks of Loving You Kindle Edition

4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars 90 ratings

The news reporters called it a disaster.
The doctors called it a miracle.
I could still walk. I could still talk. I could still remember every little detail about the train crash.
Until I couldn’t.
Six weeks later, I lost my memory.
I woke up believing that it was the morning of the accident.
Six weeks after that, it happened again.
I have retrograde amnesia. I’ve damaged a part of my brain which allows me to recall the recent past. In other words, I have an extremely limited short-term memory – six weeks to be exact.
The train derailed eighteen months ago.
I’ve relived that morning twelve times.
When I meet Spencer Hale, I put up a huge fight.
I won’t let him in. I can’t let him in. But with each day that passes, my walls begin to come down.
I get one step closer to loving him.
And one step closer to losing him.
Welcome to the train wreck that is my life.

Six Weeks of Loving you was full of heartbreak and despair and laughs. It’s a story that stays with you long after you’ve read it.I finished it in one sitting and I’m having major book hangover symptoms that I need some wine for this review!!!Cora was in a train accident 18 months ago. Keeping a scrap book for important information because even tho she survived she suffered from amnesia. Every 6 weeks Cora wakes up with a clean slate thinking it’s the day of the accident *cue a beach boys song from 50 First Dates*. She can’t remember anyone new from after the accident, but Spencer the new worker at the coffee shop has a magnetic pull she’s drawn too. But Cora refuses to let anyone get close to her. She truly believes that it’s more beneficial for other people to have nothing to do with her since she won’t remember them anyway.Spencer is like a moth to Coras flame though. He desperately wants to know her and is working is ass off to prove to her he can handle whatever she might throw at him. But is it enough to change Cora’s mind? Is he going to be able to break down those walls of hers? This book was like no other. The ending will be shocking. I wasn’t totally happy with a revelation we get no further explanation too but I also loved it. Mostly because After reading about Cora and Spence I desperately needed it. I wish the hadn’t felt rushed but I can’t complain. It’s just me being selfish and wanting more time and more answers. Things Cora says are never on her side. It was one hell of book and even though I cried like a baby it was an honestly beautiful story.5 stars because this book seriously touched my heart, mind and soul ♥️

Every now and again you read a book that totally blows you away, leaves you feeling wrecked in a good way and will stay with you long after your turn the last page. Six Weeks of Loving you is one of those books.

I absolutely loved this book! This is one of those stories you wish you could give more than 5 stars. The blurb intrigued me, the story hooked me and the characters were amazing.

This is the kind of book that will drag you through every feel as you read the story and will leave you gasping as the plot unfolds and you fall deeper and deeper under the spell that the author casts.

Full disclosure here, I was a sobbing mess during the last few chapters and it was one hundred percent worth it. Karli Perrin has written a beautiful story that will reaffirm your faith in love.

I really can’t give this book enough praise or do it justice with my palty words. You really need to give it a go, immerse yourself in the story and be prepared for an ending that will land knock on your butt. That is all.

Omg, we need a sequel to this. Please, even if it's just a novella. I have to know the answers to questions.

Grab this book. I cried, I laughed, I threw my kindle. It's one of those books where you hate but love each character.

This book made me ugly cry to the point my throat hurt. Karli is absolutely brilliant. Thank you for having me Beta for you! 💜

What if everything you know is only temporary? What if you had a set time to get things finished?

Cora, was involved in a horrible trainwreck. She can only retain memories in cycles. Those cycles reset every 6 weeks.
She goes to her best friend Roxanne's coffee house, Sanctum everyday because it's her safe place. She gets her coffee fix and her best work is done there.

Spencer, a new barista starts working at Sanctum and there's an instant attraction between Cora and Spencer. She's afraid for anything serious because of her cycles.
Spencer is persistent. He wants to take Cora on a date.

Will one date be enough? Will Cora get her memory back?
Will Spencer stay along for the ride of his life?

    90% story 4 stars, end- 3.75
I must say I have watched movies regarding someone with amnesia but reading a book on it? This is my first.

The quick back and forth witty banter was hilarious. There was much more dialogue than inner thoughts from the main character which was refreshing. The beginning, body up to about 90% was awesome. After that? 🤔 it brought out a lot of unexpected emotions in me.

Cora has a best friend Roxy and sister Connie that without both of these women I’m sure she would have turned out to be a very different person due to her medical challenge. Her support system is absolutely amazing.
Spencer? Just perfect for her. The sacrifices he makes for his love for her is heartwarming.

What they go through breaks my heart though. I am unable to shake the feelings. The ending was definitely not what I expected and I can’t wrap my head around it.
It just makes you think and wonder....
I would have been happier if the end extended a tad bit more. It was powerful with the control it had over my emotions.

A good book, just very different, and still has a HEA. It captures your heart though and doesn’t let go. Would have been 4 stars or higher if wasn’t for the end.

    Wow!!!

What a book this was!! Ive luvd this author since her very first book April Showers. I luv her writing, stories and characters they alway have me on the edge of my seat and can never put them down. But this book is something else it's brilliant, I was hooked from the very first page. Cora and Spencer are just amazing and what they go through in this book is heart breaking. You can feel the love between them and then finding it again is just beautiful but also sad in a ways. I was rooting for them from the start I was dying to know what was goin to happen.

Spencer is such a loyal character like I just said you can feel the love this man has for Cora. His banter with her is great and the way he is with her is amazing. There isn't a thing in the world that this man wouldnt do for her. This just made him one of the best heroes and book boyfriends ever for me and just to top it off he is smoking hot to. This guy can do no wrong in my eyes he is just perfect.

Then there is Cora god where I start with this woman. She is such a strong character to go through all this every 6 weeks and stay pretty cool about it is just wow. Does she hate it hell ye does it drive her crazy ye but she deals with it the best way she can. With the luv of her best friend and sister she can do it. Plus there is Spencer to alway pick up what's left even though she fights to keep him away and safe. But there just made to be together when your meant to be its hard to fight.

This book is an emotional rollercoaster but it's a ride you have to take. I would highly recommend this book and every book Karli as done. This book is a lil different to get others but it's written so well. She really knows how to such you into the story. By the end of this book I felt like I'd been goin through it all with Cora and Spencer. I have to say this is one of my favourite books of this year. Everything about it was so good I think I went through all the emotions and that's what I luvd about this. It has me crying, laughing, happy and sad. I think this book will be stuck in me head for while. I can't wait to see what Karli does next if it's anything like this book I'll be so excited.

“I’d rather have six weeks with you than an eternity with somebody else.”

The day before I started reading Six Weeks of Loving You the song I'll go on Loving You by Alan Jackson got stuck in my head. While reading the book I realized it is the perfect fit for Cora and Spencer.

What if the love of your life forgot you every six weeks. Would you be able to go on loving them, would you put your life on hold trying to prove time and time again that you are meant to be.

What if your memory reset every six weeks and wiped your memory back to the morning of the very accident that ruined it all. What if every person that you've met since that fateful day disappear every six weeks and what would you do if you meet someone that you think you could fall for, that you could love. Would you be able to let yourself fall.

This story is so heartbreaking but shows the strength of love and doing whatever it takes to keep the one you love.

Such a brilliantly written story. I will definitely be reading more by this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars I wish I could give it more than 5 stars, a beautiful, emotional and heart wrenching MUST read!!!

Omigod this book deserves so much more than 5 stars!! I read this in one sitting, it was so addictive, I couldn't put it down. It would make an amazing movie, just saying.

Six Weeks of Loving You has literally destroyed me!! I sobbed and sobbed as if I’d been told a family member had just died. I’m not exaggerating. My heart and throat hurt, my face was swollen, red and blotchy. From the last 3% of the book I could hardly see for tears, I actually had to stop reading at one point.

This is a beautiful, emotional and heart wrenching story with amazing characters who yank at your heart strings and endear themselves to your heart from the very beginning.
Karli Perrin has knocked the ball out of the park with this book, she did an outstanding job of wringing out every drop of emotion in me. I can honestly say this has to be one of my absolute top fave reads EVER and not just of this year!!!

I fell in love with Spencer & Cora, their attraction was instant and inevitable and their banter was funny, quick and adorable. They hurt my heart but they also rebuilt it.

There is so much I want to say about these wonderful characters but I'm afraid of revealing spoilers, so all I'll say is...go 1-click this awesome book. I can’t recommend it highly enough but prepare yourself for a LOT of ugly crying and a massive book hangover.

This was my first read by Karli Perrin and wow it kind of blew me away!
I was recommended this book by a friend but I can say that I was drawn in so much by that stunning cover!! Its just so eye catching.
I devoured this book so quickly I just didn't want to put it down.
I went in to reading it blind and had no clue what it was about and im so glad I did as it packed a punch so much it is such a powerful read.
Spencer is just everything you could ever want in a man... hes funny.. loveable.. reliable.. honest.. faithful with a peachy butt thrown in 😉
Cora is struggling day to day after a life changing accident but when she visits bestfriend Roxy at work her life starts to look up after meeting Spencer.
Queue a journey of heart warming moments.. discovery.. disappointment.. heart ache and so much more.
I honestly was on the edge of my seat wondering just how this was going to end!
Would a million times recommend this story.

3.0 out of 5 stars easy fun quick read

this is the third book ive read by this author. reading the blrb made me think of fifty first dates movie and it wasnt too dis-similar.
witty banter had me smiling but there was just a bit too much dialogue for me and not enough description ... i like a bit more so its like a movie playing out in my mind.
the end was rather abrupt and short and has left me with questions. not the tear jerker i hoped but id say its a funholiday beach read.
